🇵🇷 The "NEW" JIBARITO SANDWICH ✨ Best Puerto Rican Food in Chicago

- We're so lucky that Chicago has a large Puerto Rican population - which means we have access to our favorite Caribbean products, as well as great restaurants. However, many of these focus on the more classic dishes rather than the newer flavors and approaches to our cuisine. That's why we were so excited to find El Gustazo Boricua.

The food looks great. I'm going to take a train ride from Emeryville to Chicago this year, hopefully. I will check this restaurant out. I love Puerto Rican food so much.
Nico is so adorable 😊🌺
Yes!! It's good stuff!
You guys seem like such a sweet couple, glad you are from Chicago!
Awww 🥰 Thank you 🙏🏽
Awww.. yeah, I get that homesick for "your food" feeling! I'm of Portuguese descent and the 🇵🇹food options here in Michigan are pretty bleak. 😆
All that 🇵🇷 food looked amazing, and the trip to the grocery? So fun! 😊
Loveeee Portuguese food 🙌🏽✨Bifanas changed our life ❤️ It does suck when you don’t have good options. Now you made us wonder if there’s a good place here in Chicago. 🤔 Glad you enjoyed the video!!
Is the plantain shell fried? All those sandwiches look phenomenal.
The face of Maria's satisfaction is telling me how wonderful that is.
Looks tasty guys! I love Puerto Rican food.. I need to try that empanadilla hehe.. and that jibarito sandwich.. whoa!
You would love it 🙌🏽✨
I’m going this weekend to try out the food, thanks for the information. You both are great.
Hope you enjoy!!
This place isn’t far from me, but I haven’t been there yet. I agree… it’s nice to see a PR place in Chicago where you can find some more modern/fusion food that’s popular on the island, but hard to find here. I love eating Chinese-PR food when I’m in PR and it’s nice to see a place that has their own take of a tripleta. It’s very hard to find the above at PR restaurants here… I mean, I don’t think I’ve seen any other place that serves it
Agree. We cook most classic PR dishes at home so we’re always looking for something a bit different 🙂
Thanks for this great video!
Glad you liked it!
Wonderful video and Nico is so adorable!!! Loved the explanations of the food and all of the different foods you tried. Thank you!!!
Glad you enjoyed it! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Nico is to cute.
Never seen this spot before. But I'm gonna go there soon though. Nice video.
Peace to all, and stay safe.
Hope you enjoy it!!! Have a great weekend!
Cortland and Pulaski
You are set and ready to go home and enjoy.
That’s right 🙌🏽😂
The opening of this video should be forbidden for those who are on a diet 😆
Toma!!! Nabol hablando espanol!!
Nico is adorable, esos mofletes tan bonitos!
An empanadilla with chips? I need to try that lol
Looks delicious. I am making crispy tacos to eat. With hamburger meat and potatoes, avocado, Pico de Gallo. It is going to be good and cannot forget the sour cream and cheese and some refried beans. Enjoy
Niceee. Sounds good 😌
Wow it looked delicious. How was the wait time? Armitage Produce is incredible!
The food came out pretty quickly. Yes, loved Armitage Produce!! Can’t believe we didn’t know about it! ❤️
@@KimchiAndBeansVideos wait - you really didn’t know. Where did you live before your current home.
@@KimchiAndBeansVideosArmitage Produce is where all the Chicago PR on the Northside & probably beyond, have been going to get PR food/products for decades. I’m glad that although a lot of PR leaning businesses in this general area have closed, Armitage Produce remains.
I believe it’s actually owned by a Greek guy, but he has been serving Chicago PR, for as I said, decades
@@earthandwind820 That’s amazing!
Aroz con guandoles? Right, my family makes it in Chicago
It’s been a minute since we’ve made it
Whats new about this? This has been around for a while now. My first one was in like 2014
Are you talking about the mofongopleta? Who else has it? We would love to try and compare. Thank you for your comment
