Excellent video! As a lifelong Chicagoan, I'd also recommend taking the El (CTA elevated train) to one of the many neighborhoods outside downtown- Logan Square, Ravenswood, Humboldt Park, Pilsen, Bronzeville- to explore their personality. Excellent choices for murals, live music, and delicious local food!
My son used to live there. We took our own Al Capone tour. First The Green Mill. Then to a amazing pizza underground den across the street from the St. Valentine's massacre. The Art Museum of Chicago is the bomb. Ferris Bueller!
I really LOVE the remarkable “Bean Statue” situated in the central of Chicago city, IL this weekend with great skyscrapers, restaurants, hotels, malls, etc. in April of 2023❤❤❤
@@taroneric84 a beautiful city love it there. I live in Bloomington Mn so it's only a 7 hr drive . Chill relax smoke 💨 drank and smoke so more eat some deep dish smoke so more 😂
Thank you for such a lovely "tourist view" of my home town. Born in Chicago, but raised in the burbs, it will always be "home" to me. I intentionally moved back to the Chicago area after my divorce to raise my son there. He fell in love immediately as a toddler, went to Columbia College and if anyone asks, Chicago is HIS home town too! (Even though he was born in RI)
I can’t wait to watch this new remarkable video later on today’s from Chicago,IL. Weekend in April of 2023❤❤❤Thanks you so much for this great video in 2023❤❤❤
I am here March 23-29 2024, God it is so cold and I packed all wrong coming from very hot Windhoek, Namibia 🇳🇦❤ hope I can be brave and get one activity done 😅
The Mag Mile is nice. Loved Star Bucks , so the shops, boat ride, deep dish pizza, and the architecture, and the weather. Love the weather during the fall. Such a rich city.
As a Chicagoan (my whole life), the video doesn't show a Chicago style hot dog(go to Portillo's), also that was not oyster rockefeller. Oyster rockefeller has spinach, cheese, sometimes breadcrumbs; those were regular oysters.
I went to chicago 2 years ago and was able to use the city pass to go the museum of science and industry! Not sure if that has changed but it was such a highlight for my partner and I that we would rather go to that again over the art museum (despite how great it is!)
Thanks you so much for this new remarkable video today’s from Chicago city, IL this weekend in April of 2023.I wish you good LUCK always in peace 2023❤❤❤❤
I'm not so sure. Manhattan is bigger but a lot filthier and has impossible traffic. Architecture in Chicago is also much better but I'll give the slight edge to NYC pizza over deep dish.
This is why I prefer traveling outside the United States. It's crazy. I just took a trip around the world and I felt perfectly safe walking around Kuala Lumpur and as soon as I get to LA I see screaming maniacs people attempting to rob, a store and a guy get arrested in the middle of Hollywood Boulevard. Lol. God bless America
This is a good list if you want to hit the main attractions, but there are so many other great places to see and fun things to do in Chicago. Downtown is awesome, but many of the neighborhoods are really fun to visit as well.
You might want to re-dub the part where you describe the lakeside trail - you said it's all along the eastern edge of Lake Michigan. It's the western edge. The eastern edge of Lake Michigan is in Michigan.
Great video first time in Chicago last year I have been back 3 times lol. The museum of science and industry is included in the Chicago city pass btw it’s a great value.
@@ffmde8268 yes. Trust me don’t listen to the media or the haters. Chicago is not that bad. Heck, I went a couple weeks ago and walked around the Loop at night till about 6am and nothing happened. I of course did have company with me but as long as ya stay away from the south side of the city, and stick around either downtown or the north side you will be fine.
As someone from Chicago ( Definitely not Naperville) I can say that these are some good picks for things to do here. Also, for anyone who may be going here for a trip, it is not that dangerous, that’s just a lie made up because of how it has like 1 really bad area
Question for you. Is it best to rent a car while visiting Chicago or is public transportation better? I’m traveling there soon and would like to know. So I can decide wisely. Lol Thank you in advance
Thank you both for your replies. I visited and had a great time there. I rented a car while I was there. The most costly parking I paid was at the navy pier, a whopping $37. But the experience was fantastic totally worth it!
A lot of good suggestions but I wouldn't waste much time on the Magnificent Mile. Many of the stores are closed for good and the Starbucks Reserve is a real tourist trap. Concentrate more time on the Riverwalk and all the fun activities on the river including kayaking at night to see the fireworks.
I live in Illinois, and I can tell you the best thing to do in Chicago is stay alive. 😊 Seriously though, Johnnie’s Beef is the best thing to do in Chicago. 😅

I don't really love big cities but gonna spend there 3 days prior to the marathon in october. Some good recommendations, i will have to find some stuff that's nice to do, ideally not inside buildings... :/
I found out you can do a tour at Solider's Field. Best to get tickets on line to see available dates because other activites like concerts and other sports events during the Bears off season.
Hi, i'm fench and i hope to come at Chicago in september . A people who live in chicago can give me his opinion please ? - an appartement in south loop is a good location (safety too) ? - the best view in a building (sears tower is too much tourist i think) ? - the blue line (o hare to downtown) is safety ? - visit the soldier field, a good experience ? thanks a lot sorry for my english .
Hola, Blue Line from ORD is great to The Loop. South Loop is an excellent location. Soldier Field is fantastic, maybe a Bears game. The Bar on the 95th floor of the Hancock Center is great. Go to Hyde park, 57 th St. Beach, Washington Library, museums everywhere. Visit The Cultural Center in The Loop across from Millennium Park. Have a great trip. Greetings from lovely Cancun. Your English is fine. 😎
I stayed around the riverwalk area and found that to be the most central part of the north side. The hotels are not cheap along the riverwalk but you get what you pay for in terms of convenience and great view of and access to the river.
