@Anthony Rodriguez I use to live in Brooklyn. Flatbush Avenue. I miss new York. I have been offered good jobs there, but I don't think I can manage by myself there
@Anthony Rodriguez I'm vaccinated but I still take precautions. I know Cuomo is finally gone. The subways gave always been bad, at least where I lived at. The q train on cortelyou rd and Beverly rd was always messed up with some shit. With covid, I would avoid the trains unless I really have to take it, work wise.
Very nice list! Here’s some things I would add as a native of the area: This city is where the architects Louis Sullivan and Frank Lloyd Wright got there start, you can find many works throughout the city Don’t forget about the festivities! Lallapalooza and the taste of Chicago occur in the summer. Chinatown is definitely a foodie adventure of its own Chicago has a pretty impressive botanical garden on the far north side Finally, Chicago is an amazing sports hub! Try to find out whether you like Wrigley Field or Comiskey Park (Now “Guaranteed Rate”)
Thank you so much. 😊 It’s hard to narrow it down to cover just the top 10 things to do in such a beautiful city, that’s why we also made our own travel guide gum.co/ChiGD that cover additional 10 attractions, amongst others we also included Garfield Park Conservatory, The 606 and Jackson Park, etc. Under interesting neighborhoods, we included Chinatown; for sports fans we mentioned the most famous teams and stadiums and since we love architecture, we decided to include famous homes like Frank Lloyd Wright Home and Studio and his Robie House. You live in a fantastic city 😉
I will added. The nature preserves trough the city with make a nice place to Ride 🚴 and connect with neighborhood around the 🌃 . Rode my 🚴 in Chicago downtown when I lived there ,feeling better because the 🚗 are respectful with the 🚴.
I grew up in Chicago but moved to SF then Los Angeles after college 35 years ago and I still miss it! (but not the winter, lol) I try to visit my favorite city every year in June but covid put that on hold. I hope to get back there this year to visit friends and family and experience all the great things Chicago offers (especially the deep dish pizza at Numero Uno on E Ohio) Thank you for your great tour it brought back many wonderful memories!
Hi! Thank you so much for your video! I am in Chicago for a EDM festival, but I needed other things to do since I'm on vacation from work and spring break from school! This really helped! Drove here all the way from Pittsburgh, PA!
I live 2 hours from Chicago and have only just visited a few months ago and I'm 19. Use to growing up around country and farms and have only seen cities a handful of times from a distance. And to think 2 hours from me is this absolutely incredible metropolis that I've never bothered to drive the short distance to. What a beautiful city, really. No other place has made me feel like that... except for nature lol
Chicago is prettt crazy. People really are sleeping on Chicago for it’s size and history. It’s HUGE! Only 2 real world class cities in US. That being NYC and Chicago.
@@tres311 Forreal! And I remember seeing everything from a birds eye thinking "wow there's just an endless stretch of suburbs" until someone told me on reddit those ain't suburbs those are all mainly apartment buildings consisting of 1,000 people give or take on each block. Like damn when u think about tht way it shows the true scale and density.
Hope u find the time to make the drive out bro. I just did from Toronto Canada and was amazed how beautiful the city was. The Riverwalk is something ill never forget.
I grew up in a tiny mountain town. I love being out deep into the middle of nowhere. But, I also love being in the heart of Chicago. It really is an amazing city. It’s one of the cleanest cities I’ve ever been to. Definitely, the cleanest and my favorite in the United States! I liked it so much I moved there.
@@sjemmings I also like being deep in the middle of nowhere, but ideally in the mountains as you said, not the flat cornfields of Indiana lol. But wanted to ask, how is it living in Chicago? Are u still there? A lot of ppl talk bad about the city but when I was there I felt really safe in the inner city. On the drive there though, I came through the southside and was a little bit sketched out, but it seemed to be pretty far from the actual city portion. Is it affordable to get a small apartment as someone currently without a college degree or anything? And I was thinking of possibly working somewhere outside the city some kind of industrial job until I can get on my feet with something else. U think I could make that work renting or would it be too expensive?
My mom and I just came back home from Chicago. We went there to celebrate my birthday over the weekend. Chicago is very nice. We did more than half of the attractions mentioned in the video. We also saw a little bit of the Nascar race and drove out to see the Home Alone house. I definitely recommend the architectural boat tour at night and trying the deep dish pizza from Lou Malnati's. ❤
