Dear Heart, you are the only sewing teacher out there who isn't afraid to call it like it is, such as "bad thread," "professionals don't make a mistake" and on and on. I heard a lady from Louisiana say one time, "perfect" is over rated. To be perfect would be wonderful but sewing is also to be fun.
Thank you, Christopher. I love the way you matched your stripes. I am self-taught and a real stickler for matching up stripes, plaids, etc. and I have mastered it! I love the way you remedied the inside of the collar. 👍🏽I am loving all of your tips. I am like a sponge soaking up your knowledge. 👔
Thanks Christopher. Again you’ve been a great help. I like making blouses, but always have trouble with collars/neck band styles. Getting the band even. I watched closely and made a lot of notes.
For your tip. * Or you can remove all of the stitches, tnem you can sew it "in line" form the back side.. This from my sewing-teacher form '97 when we learning sew blouses and shirts.. But I love your videos Seems really helpful, for beginners! Thank you
if you cut the top of the shirt straight(which is not difficult on straight lines) you should rip it and sew it straightly otherwise the top shoulder part wont be straight!. if you did not cut it straight then your method makes sense but i would prefer lowering the yoke just a few mm to sew the lines straight then cover the mistake
i could just cry watching you work. i struggle and you make it look so easy. thank you for every video you make
I love watching you sew. You always make it look so effortless.
What I have found over my years of sewing is that good quality fabric makes sewing easier.

Takes me back to the time I was making wrangler shirts in a factory in Wales. My job was mostly collars and cuffs.
