Christopher hits the nail on the head. EVERY artist just experiments, that's all it takes, just leaving the fear at the door and enjoy what you're doing. It doesn't have to be a life or death situation. Why do I know this? Because I suffered from this, the perfectionist chatter in my head! My friend sat me down and said 4 years at Fashion school with her own studio, that's what they do all day, make samples... sample, sample sample, they are not realising full garments when they start - it's an experimental process. That was a golden nugget gift.
Wow! My imagination is soaring right now! I don't have the machine but I do have a free motion foot! May not have the same look but I think it could make some pretty awesome art pieces! Thanks for the demo!
I can’t tell you how many needles I’ve broken on my machine, I’ve actually given up as I have found them expensive to replace . You make it looks so easy and inspiring
Oh my!! You have some of the most beautiful scraps of fabric to work with, thank you for sharing :) I always wondered what I could do (besides yo-yos) with scraps since I did not like throwing them out.
Thank you for the time and skill it takes to make these beautiful works of art and for sharing your techniques with us. This is totally new to me and I am blown away by how you take sections of fabric and merge them into one. Wow, brilliant x
I like his power words.. Just think outsides the box. I created beautiful art the very 1st time I took a crack at it thinking like that and believing in myself. So much we can discover in our hidden abilities when we think beyond and believe and enjoy what we are doing. It's hard to not like your work if you enjoy it along the way. So much heart goes into it. Beautiful work. Thanks for sharing
Amazing inspirational video, just bought a machine and needed some inspiration, came across you and now cant wait to play, thank goodness for you and the weekend.
Thanks for this wonderful inspiration and precious advices. It is a pity your book is not available anymore. Why don’t you make a digital version revised? Greetings from Belgium

I've never suffered from perfectionism, as a result I have a whole room (just a pantry) dedicated to my 'Samoan's" -- fa ups
