This is one of the most organized rig's I've seen so far. Make sure you have some form of protection. I live in Chicago and that is a must anywhere. Remember danger travels.
Don't camp in Chicago or any huge city. I'd say stick to the places that are more suburban or rural where the crime rate is lower. Seems a certain element will seize on an opportunity if it presents itself, so don't put yourself in harms way.
@@amywalker7515 Statistically small towns have a higher crime rate mostly to people thinking they don't have crime there. Too many people have had people walk right in and do harm or kidnap someone. My brother has that attitude and someone who lived where he does (a neighbor kid) walked in and killed one of their cats, because the door was opened. He just felt like it. So, no it doesn't matter where you live crime happens. People get robbed and more while camping, hiking, etc. all the time.
@@Marys_Life_64 I disagree with your statement about the crime in smaller towns. I think it depends on how close that town is in relation to a city, and how well the town's folk know each other. I live in a very small "town" about 15 minutes drive from a large city. The crime rate here is VERY low, we all know our neighbors and who comes into our area, we have a very large police force who respond SO FAST it makes all those other large police force look like rookies. Got me thinking about my mother. In early 1950s, my mother drove herself over dirt roads, camped alone, in northern Nigeria based out of Katsina. She was pioneering infant nutrition and health education programmes. Standard issue vehicle was a kit car - similar to what we now call a pick-up truck but bigger - called a kit car because you threw your kit in the back, not a self-assembly kit. She drove from village to village with a plan to speak first with the chief's harem. She was addressing the prevailing attitude that children should only get a mealy-meal porridge with no protein at all - hence kwashiorkor even in times of abundance. She did her own repairs while out on tour but wasn't strong or heavy enough to deal with punctures so had to wait for the next lorry to come by, flag it down, and ask for help. Met my dad out there, married in 1953, I arrived as first of 4 in 1955. Brother and sisters all born out there. They returned to England in 1961 because all my grandparents getting on in years and Dad would have to find work before too old for anybody to take him on. They'd have liked to stay out there. Just googled "Old kit cars and pick-up trucks" and got this: 1942-1959 Napco Chevy and GMC Trucks - not exactly the same but very similar and same era. A bit more like this: 1953-1956 F-100 - which might be a later version of what she was driving. Thanks for triggering the memories
@@daakrolb Whether it is as you say or not, she LEARNED how to handle and maintain that vehicle and she can even troubleshoot it herself. I seriously doubt that you BUILT your own vehicle with your own hands and it is road-worthy and licensed... Your right on both counts. However, she spent a lot of time preparing to do this. She has learned the hard way how not to do things but learned from the mistakes she made. She said so right at the start. I have learned a lot over my years but I keep learning every day. The one challenge I have is to motivate myself to do the things I "think" I want to do.
I'm willing to bet based on her intelligence and fine upbringing that she is strapped and ready to bust if need be.
They patrol constantly here. No slackers.

(not IMPOSSIBLE, but VERY HIGHLY IMPROBABLE, so I think you are just talking out of your ass).
Unlike many people in the world today, INCLUDING ME, she can actually take care of herself. She's confident enough to go on the road alone. The BEST part is that she is happy this way. WHAT is WRONG with that? You need to go rethink some things.
Very nice rig, the way it’s set up is great for boon-docking. My wife and I travel in a Revel and enjoy every new place. Good luck on your travels.
Wow. You and your Dad seem to have thought of almost everything. Happy trails.
Cool!
And your parents are proud of you!
Never to old to appreciate that!
Your camper will probably even gain value these days what a brilliant idea. My Dad sold his last touring caravan for a 5K profit 5 years later.
Agreed, the market is crazy right now!
OMG, she is sooo beautiful and has that super hero level of confidence. Even her voice is impressive. The camper is awesome too, but the owner stole the show for me, haha. A super hero living in a camper.
Thank you for sharing. This without a doubt one of the best “Mobil “ homes I’ve seen. Living the dream.
That is awesome!! Good for you making that setup such a beautiful home! And I love it that you know everything about the mechanics, I’m sure your Dad rests easier each night knowing you can take care of yourself😉. Thanks for sharing your story and enjoy your journey 😃.
Thanks for the kind comment!! Much appreciated! :-)
I have for the last 5 months been living in a R.V. Still working but just wanted to see if it was me. Going threw the winter in Western Mt. Is not the easiest but looking at Flathead Lake everyday keeps me grounded!! To be honest it is a trade of certain items but most I can live without and for the most part I am staying more active and fit!! I sure welcome your input and it is nice to see you enjoying yourself and staying close with your family!! Your very knowledgeable of your devices on your camper and that is impressive!! You have done well and I am proud of your success living and working this way!! You will be so glad you did this while you could and look at the health benefits of being active constantly!! Your welcome at my campfire anytime my friend!! Montana Rick.
Brilliant camper and well thought out for luxury living but a compromise on space to which she has done extremely well! Love it!
If I ever wear out all the clothes in my dresser and closet, she'll still have fewer clothes than I do. She really does a great job of minimalist living even though it is a "glamping" lifestyle.
