I'm going to give you a bit of info as an ex firefighter. Always keep smoke detectors up high and carbon very low. Smoke rises and gases settle on the floor. I really love your home. It is absolutely amazing.
Yes, always put your carbon detectors low. The carbon is very heavy and sits on the floor. As it fills and rises and if your detector is high, by the time the carbon is detected...you're probably going to be unconscious or dead. I can never stress enough how important it is for the carbon detectors are to be low on the floor. Carbon monoxide is odorless and therefore is a silent killer. I hope I did not scare you, but this is so important to me. I had 2 longtime childhood friends that passed away from carbon monoxide poisoning. The two girls, one my age and one 4 years younger are gone and the mother had severe brain trauma that never recovered from the carbon monoxide. I hope this helps you. Keep on trucking on my friend.
I love this van SO much. Every few months, I click on it not realizing by the thumbnail that I’ve seen it already, but then I always wind up watching the whole thing AGAIN because it’s so unique and so nice.
That arched pocket door is the coolest thing ive seen in a van build. Separates driving area from living area yet you get immediate inside access to the front .
not a fan of separating the living area from the driving area(for space and safety reasons)but her solution is amazing. then the kitchen area is huge for a van (the corner kitchen feels like heaven) I missed a shower cabinet though
Gteat build, great video. I do like to see the outside of the vehicle first and have the camera then enter through entrance so I have a understanding of the whole layout and of the direction. The arched door..Maybe I missed it, want to see more and hear more about the arched door, her going through it to front drivers seat. Still great all around and luv Ranger, ADORABLE💜
Plus it means that, so long as it's latched open, and there's clearance in the back, she can still use the rear-view mirror! I haven't actually finished the video yet though. I stopped to compliment her on her great use of storage for her clothes over the cabin area!
@@gadeaiglesiassordo716 I always wonder what the people who leave the whole van open do when the van needs to go to the repair shop. No way to lock away your whole home. I do like the look and the function when it is left open, though.

This is one of the most ingenious designed vans. I've been watching a lot of these (a LOT), and not only does it have some ingenious features, it's also very pretty inside with architectural and interior design features I've never seen in a van build before. Hats off to you and your Dad on a fantastic job.
Actually I was thinking it could use an additional step. Having 2 Pomeranians with bad joints as they aged was a result of them jumping off beds and any jump can repeatedly over time cause arthritis for them later on
Don't typically give a thumbs us without a bathroom/shower, but I really like how unique your build is, and really love the copper pipes that hold your containers around the top of the wall. Also like how your fridge fits and the corner sink. Your dad is very talented! The pocket door to the cab is very cute, so the only thing I would change is to use some nice storage bags to hold my clothes in, nicely labeled, above the cab and I would put in some extra batteries and solar panels to run the toaster oven better. Very pretty.
Okay this is actually so realistic! I’m moving into my van this summer and have been watching tons of tours. Most people have like 1 or 2 small baskets of clothes. Which I totally get because you have to save space, but it just seems so unrealistic for me! I appreciate this!!
Man, I really love it. The arch door to the cab was genius. I really like your taste in everything you have done. I like how you framed the windows, the tile backsplash you picked, the copper pipe looks awesome. I wish I owned it. You have made me want to make one. Stay safe and have fun.
I'm smiling ear to ear from the start to the finish of this tour. Your joy is absolutely infectious and your home is a dream indeed. Congratulations! I wish you much happiness in your freedom wagon :)
I love the van, lovely soft colour scheme. I particularly love all the plants. I lived solo on the road for 7 years, eventually stopped because I wanted a garden. Here in Australia it's not possible to travel with plants unless you confine yourself to certain areas. Some state borders have strict plant quarantine control which can't be passed with fruit vegetables honey flowers and plants.
There's some measure of plant restriction in the US. It's largely regional. I live in WA, where apples are a big cash crop. There are road signs announcing a quarantine of any plant that could harbor apple maggots. In Las Vegas, it's illegal to plant olive trees. They were planted in huge #s during the housing booked they've had. They aren't native and the amount of pollen they release is astounding. It can cause a traffic hazard. I'm sure there are more.
@@RubyRage Into Qld is not a problem, SA and WA have very strict rules and you'll get checked, WA doesn't allow honey or fruit, vegs, plants flowers or even boxes that stuff has been in. Then there's the fruit fly exclusion zone which covers parts of NSW, SA, VIC you'll find it on maps. I used to get rid of stuff before entering Broken Hill then stay there a week and again use up everything to go into SA. You can bring it into SA if it's cooked, I once turned all my salad veges into a cooked curry to save them. Check the rules or you'll get fined. Problem I found heading West on the Nullarbor was you had to use up all fresh stuff to cross the border check point into WA and then it was 700km to the next small shop. I always took min 10 days to cross it so had to plan well in advance with tinned and dry stuff. Also empty your bin, everything gets checked. Don't let this put you of it's easy to deal with, I loved living on the road for 7 years.
Ranger is ADORABLE-- You could not ask for a better traveling companion!!- Not to mention a true BFF, always by your side! All the little things done to accommodate Ranger's safety & comfort are the sweetest of all the special little touches! What a beautiful build. Great aesthetics and extremely practical. So many special little inclusions. Gorgeous, confident young woman and very sweet pup. Kudos to her and her dad.
This is THE most beautiful van conversion I have ever seen. You and your dad are artists. I'm so inspired. However, what I see often but do not know how folks like you and others handle it: I can't imagine being on the road without a dog...but how do keep the van cool when you're shopping/hiking without him? I didn't hear you mention any a/c units in yours - but for those that do add them in - do they run on solar power or what, when you're not in the van? Thank you!
@@tameraanderson2773 Exactly my question - yes, she has a dog...my question was not how do you travel without a dog, but rather how do you keep the van cool when you leave the van without the dog (go out to dinner, friends etc) - since she did not mention having an a/c on it's own power. I've seen many full-timers with dogs - but they never mention how they keep their rig cool when they are away without their dogs. I've thought about going full-time in the past, but could never do it without a dog...so I wonder how full-timers handle that scenario?
This lifestyle is a great alternative for singles who struggle with having enough money to live in a traditional house, but it takes a lot of pre-planning, time and initial investment. I live in a tiny house. If you can see that your traditional lifestyle is not sustainable, I highly recommend this alternative. It beats losing everything and being homeless!
We all really need to band together so it isn't criminalized. Van people aren't normally criminals, trouble makers or drug addicts. It's going to be a big deal very soon for many with high inflation and not being able to afford to live anywhere. If you don't have full cash, you'll be screwed. I really want to see solutions for WORKING POOR. Not just generations of lazy. If you go to school/trade school, that's different. You shouldn't get free money to choose to be lazy and stupid deliberately, tho. I'm tired of Americans being thought of as fat and stupid. If you can't differentiate between "too" and "to," we have a serious issue. Lol
This van is absolutely gorgeous, the design is so imaginative and tasteful with a clever use of space. I personally couldn’t live in a van as I’m too used to my home comforts but I just love her story. I wonder if you have to be quite careful about where you park, especially travelling alone. Safety and security must be an issue.
This is the best van I have ever seen on RUclips. I to have watched a lot of them Brenda because I have wanted to do this myself. I love the copper, ceramic tiles & plants it gives it a look of Italy. I am a collector of antiques, and that little shelving space above your bed would give me an area to bring a few of my Antiques into a van whenever I decide to do the van life. That way I wouldn’t feel like I had to be without something from my antique life from before.
I love it. It’s so me: dog, stars, copper. I highly recommend strong binoculars so that the stars seem like they are right outside your van. I’m going to have to hire you to decorate my house. Excellent job.
Yes, but don't forget how much it costs to change a van in this kind of camper. She had the luck her dad works with cars and is very handy. Nevertheless, a very classy and beautiful van✌😀
@@jgappy5643 you can make van life affordable! No, it won’t look like this one but as long as you’re willing to learn how to repair things on your own you can make it work if you really want it. Many people love their vans that aren’t as “fancy” as this one
@4Freedom4All these are very good points, but also some camp grounds are free, solar reliability depends on where you are, if you have good ventilation the smell wouldn't linger long when cooking, most van/bus lifers go to laundromat, also most van/bus lifers have heaters for winter but nothing close to a house heater. But again all of my points depend on if the van has the appliances, and where they stay.
@4Freedom4All exactly man this is another extremely dishonest and deceptive piece of shit RUclipsr painting a fake picture for views. When she said 7 pairs of shoes and bathing suit and scarves 🧐
My favorite of all van conversions, just beautiful! Brenda, kudos to dad, his work is perfection! God bless you and your “little bit “ as you travel! 🌈
She has the best Kitchen Layout that I have seen so far!!! I'd personally have a pop-out shower on the floor of the entrance and have a U-shaped lounge at the back of the van to make it more spacious and turn it into a bed at night. Her entrance has so much space that you could have another single pullout bed!! Again, Love the kitchen layout inspirational !!! Thank you
One thing that really stands out or sets this van apart from others is the details. Combining different textures and patterns add so much to a van to make it more of a home. Everything from the decorative tiles to the copper and then variety of fabrics all blend together very nicely to create a really nice homey feel. I really like it!
This conversion s beautiful!! Love the plants, swing chair, arched pocket door, everything!! It feels like a quaint little home in the forest. Great job to her and her father!
The bed to the couch! Never see one of those before. Props to you and dad for an amazing build. You should be a designer, your use of colors and elements is truly beautiful.
Wow, this is true art. Thanks so much for sharing this, and I hope your dad is beaming with all these comments. It's the best van build I've seen too, thanks to the story of him dedicating his evenings to the fine workmanship. Such clever and thoughtful storage ideas.
As a fellow plant lover I love, Love, LOVE your use of copper throughout your van and to display your plants. My plants and soaking bathtub are two things I knew I'd miss once I begin my van life and now I know that I'll have at least one of the two! I also appreciate seeing someone with a 9-5 making this lifestyle work for them. Now, if I can only find someone as handy as your dad! God bless.
I have seen a van build with a bath tub! They simply cover it up and it becomes a seat when not in use as a bathtub. Didn’t look like the longest bathtub, but it was definitely a bathtub!!
Food grade barrels are sometimes cut in different ways to be used for animal feeders and water troughs. Maybe something like that could be cut in a way to work with a stand so it won't roll or tip over. When not in use it could be tied to racks on top of the van. A couple farm bucket style water heaters could help the water be hot enough, or some other way - don't give up.
I love Copper! I love all the terracotta pots and the plants inside your living space, as well as the tiles you used in your kitchen. Your space feels very inviting. You and Ranger enjoy your travels, my best wishes, and stay safe. May God watch over you both. 🙂

“Without hurting his precious little knees” awwww 🥰 you are soo sweet
Actually I was thinking it could use an additional step. Having 2 Pomeranians with bad joints as they aged was a result of them jumping off beds and any jump can repeatedly over time cause arthritis for them later on
Coolest van ever! Love the sofa option & the arched door! You should start a RUclips channel! You would do great with your personality! Cute dog too!
Hello Sandra how are you doing!!
This is a stunning conversion. I love how you worked in an actual L-shaped kitchen. Well done.
Bathroom
Don't typically give a thumbs us without a bathroom/shower, but I really like how unique your build is, and really love the copper pipes that hold your containers around the top of the wall. Also like how your fridge fits and the corner sink. Your dad is very talented!
The pocket door to the cab is very cute, so the only thing I would change is to use some nice storage bags to hold my clothes in, nicely labeled, above the cab and I would put in some extra batteries and solar panels to run the toaster oven better. Very pretty.
I love the care she has for her dog. Just a lovely build.
What a lovely little home you and your dad have created ❤️ Minimalist but super cozy. Love it!
This is absolutely beautiful. So functional as well.
Ok what do you do with #2?😂 Live your van!
Gorgeous van, gorgeous girl and gorgeous personality!
@@pampire13 you haven’t been able to plant olive trees in Tucson either.
I didn't even consider this - been looking into van/rv living. so you couldn't keep fruit and veg in the fridge going from Vic to NSW/Qld? 😮
Some of these rules related to plants are utter bullshit.
Your living your best life! How cool is that? Love the way you decorated your home and especially Ranger’s special little space. Love it! ❤
Aw thanks so much, Sue! 😊💛
Ranger is ADORABLE-- You could not ask for a better traveling companion!!- Not to mention a true BFF, always by your side! All the little things done to accommodate Ranger's safety & comfort are the sweetest of all the special little touches! Wishing you and Ranger safety on the road and lots of happy memories in the making for many years to come!- Peace, safety, & health to you both!! From my little rescue cat Dobby 🐈🐾 and me! 🕊️🍀🐾🌈🇨🇦☘️
Also, Ranger looks like he’s a min pin...so adorable; a perfect little companion. So glad my Pixie ( a min pin)can’t see this, she’d be jealous.
Many many blessings and safely on the road!! Wish my dad would have been able and encouraging like yours...treasure him and the time you have been able to enjoy together!
@@robthetindog8218 Aww that is so sweet!! Hugs to your wee Pixie from my Dobby 🐈 and me! 🐾🌈🇨🇦
@@denasharpe2393 That's a lovely comment! I miss mine too. Hugs to you.🤗🐾🌈🇨🇦
When I say I want to live in a van THIS is what I mean. Also she and her dog are so adorable 😭💛
This van is just precious. What a wonderful Dad
What a beautiful build. Great aesthetics and extremely practical. So many special little inclusions. Gorgeous, confident young woman and very sweet pup. Kudos to her and her dad.
Of all the vans I've seen, this is just about the best. And she seems so sweet. Happy for her.
I’ve watched so many van videos and this is by far the best yet. You and your Dad did an incredible, impeccable job. 🙌
I really like your build. From the bulk head to the L shaped kitchen & convertible bed... Very nice job!
I love the L shaped kitchen as well!! We’re installing one in our van - so excited!!
I love what she says in the end. "Whats the worst that can happen? You own the van, then you sell it" if it's not for you. Beautiful home
Thank you!
I'd worry about it failing and no backups. Then what...?
Blejeans, she does mention a dog...named Ranger
@@tameraanderson2773 Exactly my question - yes, she has a dog...my question was not how do you travel without a dog, but rather how do you keep the van cool when you leave the van without the dog (go out to dinner, friends etc) - since she did not mention having an a/c on it's own power. I've seen many full-timers with dogs - but they never mention how they keep their rig cool when they are away without their dogs. I've thought about going full-time in the past, but could never do it without a dog...so I wonder how full-timers handle that scenario?
My bad, misunderstood your question...
@@blujeans9462 me too,was concerned about her dog having Ac or hear.
Lol
One of the homiest, well thought out vans I have seen. Love, love the fact that Ranger has his own space as well.
That is, by far, the most amazing tiny home/camper living I have ever seen. Congrats to you! Your fur baby steals my heart.
Hello Jane
@@markaralvin5545 please look elsewhere for female companionship.
This van is probably one of my favourites, but what really strikes me is just how happy the owner is. So inspirational...
Wow.
WOW! You and your Dad both have excellent taste, and what fantastic memories you've both created doing this project. WELL. DONE.
Aw thank you so so much, Donna! 😊💛
I love it. It’s so me: dog, stars, copper. I highly recommend strong binoculars so that the stars seem like they are right outside your van. I’m going to have to hire you to decorate my house. Excellent job.
If I were young and single, I would totally do this and work and save money.
There’s always the option of buying a small rv ready to go or sprinter.
This is the cutest decorated and most thought out home I think I’ve seen. 😍
Your van home is gorgeous. I love how bright and open it feels despite it being a small space. Also love the "less house, more home" sign.
Aw thanks so much, Trish! 😊💛
My favorite of all van conversions, just beautiful! Brenda, kudos to dad, his work is perfection! God bless you and your “little bit “ as you travel! 🌈
I love seeing young people who have a zest for non-conformity, thinking outside of the box, adventurous and living life on their terms♡
Thank you
Ive seen a van with an oven you have so much conter space so under that you could fit one. I love the copper and the hammock was such a good idea.
This is by far my favorite van so far ! You and your dad did an amazing job !
Hello Beautiful how are you doing!!
This is SO perfect. Love Ranger's hidey hole. Just beautifully done, not just functional. Wow.
I love her energy, the cohesive decor blend, the couch conversion option, and that she has a 9-5 While she was doing the conversion.
Awesome lady, and awesome van. Nice to have a supportive, knowledgable dad.
Beautiful van layout. Love the partition wall separating house, and the L-shaped kitchen. Looks very homey.
I am obsessed with this van! She did so much with a pretty small space and it looks beautiful
Great job girl! I love that quote "less house more home"!
One thing that really stands out or sets this van apart from others is the details. Combining different textures and patterns add so much to a van to make it more of a home. Everything from the decorative tiles to the copper and then variety of fabrics all blend together very nicely to create a really nice homey feel. I really like it!
Aw thank you so much! 😊
Her layout is the closest I've seen to what I want! Love this, can't wait for vanlife.
Four years of watching van tours and this is still my favourite. May have watched an embarrassing number of times 😅
Wow, this is true art. Thanks so much for sharing this, and I hope your dad is beaming with all these comments. It's the best van build I've seen too, thanks to the story of him dedicating his evenings to the fine workmanship. Such clever and thoughtful storage ideas.
That's awesome. "I am incredibly happy with it." That's all that matters.
God bless.
Maybe you can get a tub to use outdoors
Why not learn to do it all yourself? You'll need those skills later on.
Wow! I can’t believe only just seeing this tiny home on wheels. I’m absolutely in love 🥰 with it, the build, the decor it is my taste exactly & I love how different it is to other builds I much prefer the layout of this one, it makes the bedroom look like a bedroom if you know what I mean, it just makes it look more cosy & with the cab area being separated with that door is really nice! Well done I say….
KUDOS to your dad for all the hard work, it's beautiful ❤️!
I LOVE that little door leading to the driving area...so smart!
Love your pretty organised van life and love how much you do for your little dog. We are big fans of Chihuahua and Pincher. We loss our late Chihuahua 2 years ago due to old age. Travel safe wherever you are sweet lady ❤
Your van is so cute. You really did accomplish the "homey" feel. I just love it.
I've seen so many van transformations and this one is by far the most cozy and suited for my relaxed style.
Yours is the second of thousands of videos on van life I have watched where I got the van bug. What a phenominal build you and your dad have created for your tiny home on wheels. I am saving this one and considering this seriously now . Please tell us how you safely hang a hammock chair in a van. Obviously you know how. Enjoy the journey and thanks for sharing.
This is one of the top 5 van conversations I’ve seen. Beautiful and you would never know that it was inside a van. The L shaped kitchen is my favorite part . ❤

Kudos to you and your dad for building an incredibly beautiful home on wheels. It's so nicely done and looks fantastic.
I just had to comment this is my favorite van build I’ve seen by far. It has simple innovative ideas and the aesthetic is not only beautiful but makes it feel huge. Such a wonderful build!
I must say that is the best van setup I have seen. Dads are cool!
