I like the fact that you’ve plenty of space and my favourite, a full bathroom in terms of one of these types of builds. What a wicked job you both have done. I’m officially envious lol.
Exceptional. Both asthetically and functionality wise. Love the choice of fridge. Doubles up as a dinette seat and allows for more kitchen bench space. The diagonal shower is clever too. The control nook/ board is very ingenious too. And the choice of flip down tv up there too. Fantastic little cozy home indeed. Congratulations and safe travels you guys!
AMAZING, IMHO, this is the best ambulance/van conversion I have seen. I even like the interior and exterior colors. For my old body, I would have a small ladder to get up into the bed. The only change I would make is to the curtain in front. I like to have a cockpit curtain that you can pull around by the windshield for privacy. That way, you can use the front seats for storing your clothes when you go to bed. It also creates a larger visual interior. The hot tub? Well, that was pure genius!

I've seen many, and this was very well thought out. Hugely functional. You guys did your homework. Very pleasing interior too. I learned a lot about traveling like that set of spade, pulley, pickaxe you had on outside. Who would have thought? Thanks for a great tour. This is the James Bond of ambulance conversions.
Yes, I agree! They could make MONEY by sharing their ideas, in a book. Digital download books! No need to pay publishers even. A teacher is the best editor and publisher there is!
I love the collapsible hot tub. I wonder if they've ever thought about building those for somebody else but make it a more stylish. For those fancy people like me. I'd love to have that once I got my truck or van home. That would be an awesome business for them to run traveling around the country in the world delivering and building those for people.
This is living at its finest. The hot tub in the middle of the woods is just priceless. I love every minute of this. Thankyou for sharing. Both of you be safe out there .
Love this build and the details you not only put into it, but shared with everyone. This is one of my top couple conversions I have seen! Super utilitarian while still being attractive and fun, great build y'all!
Freakin cool. I have a new appreciation for an ambulance, and WOW so much space. You guys have thought of EVERYTHING right down to the free standing solar panels, shower, etc ... smart. I was amazed and engaged in the entire transformation and loved it. Happy travels and hope Tonya takes you far.
This looks like the best, most thoughtful, carefully crafted super tiny build I've ever seen! out of many. I love you have room for a 'junk' drawer even lol. that's how you know it's a real home. And not the hot tub in the creek i'm dead!
What the hell? How did Chris get so much knowledge about water systems, electrical systems etc. It seemed at times he was speaking a different language. So impressed with this beautiful and really comfortable conversion. Good for both of you.
Overall I'm commenting so I can find this build again later on. Deeply impressive. There are so many details packed into this build that by themselves would be notable: The collapsing field tub, the cellular antennas (I've not seen anybody mount that gear before), the emergency equipment on the side (never heard mention before about that requirement eith3er), the circulating water anti-freeze feature, the max propane tank size detail for ferries, the ski equipment storage, the dingy engine storage closet, clever clothes closet, the cozy interior. Amazing.
Man how are people SO talented with all the carpentry and electrical stuff? I consider myself pretty handy when it comes to fixing or installing stuff in my house but I'm a graphic designer, I don't know anything about all that stuff and even if I did manage to do a couple of things I wouldn't bet my life on them.
Wow looks like a ton of space in there, could probably even make the shower a little bigger. This looks extremely well thought out and actually spacious. I was starting to come around realizing that it makes more sense to have cargo mounted to the roof instead of the solar panels, and then you mentioned shade as well and that makes it even more obvious.
This is the best ambulance build I've seen- way to go! Lots of moving parts and systems but it looks really well designed and thoroughly fleshed out. I've seen this roaming around the Cascade foothills and glad I found this video! Cheers!
One of the best I have seen. With limited space compromise is a necessity eg the bathroom but for cost, function and design you got so much bang for your hard earned bucks. So many others I have seen look great but are going to fall apart in no time. I dont think this will and achieved without compromising design. No pull down makes such a difference. I hope you get many years of enjoyment from it. Its brilliant.
Reminds me of the John/Shower my sons and I had in an Amtrak cabin on a X-country train ride.. the door is deceptive - it is bent (corners around on the left.)
I think it's because they made their bed the exact same height as the countertop, gives that whole level the illusion of being one big landmass rather than mismatched clutter.
“And this is our pancake warmer. It keeps them warm until the whole batch is cooked.” “Over here is where we boil the maple tree sap into maple syrup.” “This is our automatic butter churn. We use cream from the cows in the front...”
yeah god help the neighbours when that thing pulls in beside them, escape out to the open spaces and next thing there's a bunch or superpower cell towers and other gadgets blasing through your head because they need to take everything with them
When you said how much you spent on this build, I was taken aback, but the result is truly amazing. The shot of the hot tub in the middle of a river made my jaw drop. It does occur, though, that two people living in this amount of space would have to really, really like each other.
Thanks so much for the inspiration. I have an '89 E350 with a 7.3 diesel and 51,000 miles, and with a medicoach box. It's very much still an ambulance. Mostly it's been used for hauling things around, making for a great moving van during our last move. The plan is to build a practical camper unit fit to my needs and wants. To that end, I got some great pointers for a few features from watching this video. So thanks, and happy trekking.
I’ve spent most of my life as EMS paramedic since 1992. Love it! Always wanted to do this. Would love to get a retired box that was assigned to me. One of our crew members bought one and converted it for his food truck bbq business
Love how you kept so many of the original hardware and cabinetry from the ambulance, it's super cool both inside and out. The fact that you both designed and built it, if anything stops working then you know how to fix and repair it. It seems like you've utilized every inch wisely. Great advice and how you approached your build.
I've watched hundreds of buildout videos and this is my absolute favorite, they have thought of literally everything. Tons of great ideas, beautifully organized and an awesome rig!
Your van is one of the nicest I've seen. The design, storage, kitchen, bathroom, and the nature tub. Great idea for an ambulance, I've seen them used many times. The box design provides much more space, and the outer existing storage is quite a benefit.
This is the most amazing and awesome 4x4 ambulance tiny house!! WOW! The toilet & hot tub are AWESOME add ons, too! The hot tub in the middle of a stream is just an unbeatable luxury that we'd need to have. We love winter, but, hate shoveling, this is the perfect solution! Tfs.
I know, right? I was like, "Ya, ya. That's nice." But the plywood hot tub I just couldn't believe. I'd almost do that at home just to not have to set up a big, expensive hot tub and run electric and there's nothing expensive to replace. It's even cheaper than an inflatable one, which I can see going really poorly.
This is by far the BEST Ambulance Tiny Home THOW that I have ewer seen! In am a Tiny Home Video addict so I get ideas for my Tiny build and I have watched literally HUNDREDS of Tiny Home videos!
Hey, i have been watching lots of RV's videos, and this is however, so far, one of the best (or the best rather) conversion into an RV...lots of space been utilized technically and, lots of space been left wonderfully...hence, it looks really great amd awesome, feels a cool wide area walking or sitting in...simple loved it
One of my biggest concerns with fitting a mobile tiny house is figuring out WHAT the essentials are. I am glad you touched upon that throughout the video! Tells me I need to do more research! ^_^
Wow!!! JUST WOW!!!! IT IS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS....and the 2 of you are such a great team....Many many years of continued happiness and love to both of you....stay well, and safe travels!!
I’ve watched many, many tiny home/van/shed conversion, etc homes, and when most people say they decided to go for a big sink, I always think ‘come on, you know it’s not big’. There are people that do go for an actual big sink - a proper big sink. I enjoy seeing those homeowners that have made their sink a priority, and still managed to have adequate counter space.
Yeah not in the video, but it seems like its under the sink based on where everything else was said to be located (There's no drawer pull for under the sink but the cabinet space ends on the sides -- so the grey water's likely accessed from the outside rather than inside). Seeing as he also mentioned automation for all the locks and the water heating, I'm thinking they may have somehow automated their grey water dumping too? Likely they can plug a hose in somewhere on the outside and pump it out.
That is magnificent.. except for the gold tiles. Really nice build. I would love one of those my fear is the plan for petroleum combustion engines. Love it really nice guys.
I have experienced the camper van life before but this is literally my ideal design of a camper home. The layout, design, amenities, extras, its exactly how I would want it. If I ever make the jump it'll definitely be similar to this! Good job!!! 👍👍👍

This is by far THE best ambulance build. It seem huge. Definitely taller ceiling and longer than most ambulances. It’s done up soooo nicely 👍🏾. Wishing you two happy and safe travels!
This is an awesome conversion! I love how you've utilized all of the outside storage lockers and converted the interior to be so spacious and practical! Plus, your power conversion system and propane heater have made this a perfect year round excursion camper! Really great!
Best ambulance build EVER! Can’t say enough. I will be in touch for how to’s on water and shower for sure. Now I’m sure about my corner shower ideas and you door solidified that. Cheers from Canader eh!
eh!
This is probably the nicest and best thought out ambulance conversion I have ever seen! All you need now is your wilderness EMT and a first aid kit! Well done!
And a nice Taurus Judge.
So many ingenious things in this build out. I love the retractable screen door, the waterproof paper towel holder, the underbed seating, just so many cool things.
The back mug was swinging in every shot
I mean, imagine how many people died in that ambulance? 😅
Jaylex I was thinking the same!🤭
@@jaylexdiaz91 we were interested in getting a ambulance until our SIL told us that. 🤯 Then I thought SAGE and salt should take care of any bad juju. Right?
A dream come true, when younger I had advocated an ambulance redo but things kept getting put off. Now at 77 and not so good health, I have to happy to see what you and others have done. Good luck with your dreams, live them while you are able, you've done a great job on this rig.
I always like these custom builds better than factory RVs. You guys did a really awesome job!
Absolutely, I do agree.
I agree with all the positive remarks 100%. You both should write a book with diagrams and pictures. Your build is perfect 🥰.
You can buy inflatable hot tubs now, so that would be an easier option, but I like his ingenuity.
Y’all did an outstanding job on your camper. It shows that every aspect of the build was carefully thought out. Safe travels to you both.
This one-of-a-kind ambulance is like nothing you have ever seen! What are your thoughts?
It’s very unique! I head that you can get an old umbulance for cheap, how much was this one?? Like without the conversion
I love it! It’s very well thought out and unique. Looks professionally done.
Love it,🇬🇧👍
I think they did an amazing job. It’s probably my favorite ambulance conversion so far.
It's incredibly similar to another guys build. Almost identical.
I have watched many camper builds over the years. This the best one I have seen so far. I can see myself rocking with something like that.
This is the best use of space I've seen. Great design!
Overall I'm commenting so I can find this build again later on. Deeply impressive. There are so many details packed into this build that by themselves would be notable:
The collapsing field tub, the cellular antennas (I've not seen anybody mount that gear before), the emergency equipment on the side (never heard mention before about that requirement eith3er), the circulating water anti-freeze feature, the max propane tank size detail for ferries, the ski equipment storage, the dingy engine storage closet, clever clothes closet, the cozy interior. Amazing.
So far best Ambulance conversion. Also this ambulance is unique to its length and layout.
Cheers!
I hope I see them in North Bend, some time! I would love to see this in person!
This is the only video ive seen someone actually address the moisture problem
A bright couple with motivation, and determination. Brilliant! And a very well produced video. Thank you all.
Wow I love how the fridge slides in and out. This is an incredibly smart build
Love it - ive been looking for a spacious offroad build that can be used as a skiing homebase.
I need to see him go INTO the shower because I can't visualize it on my own, haha! This whole van is insanely ingenious!
Reminds me of the John/Shower my sons and I had in an Amtrak cabin on a X-country train ride.. the door is deceptive - it is bent (corners around on the left.)
Hello! It’s a lot bigger than it looked in the video haha. We have more video of building it and using it on our instagram page @tanyatheambulance
I think it's because they made their bed the exact same height as the countertop, gives that whole level the illusion of being one big landmass rather than mismatched clutter.
His wife wouldnt like that lol
@@johnnybravoBoyah She might? Lol
“And this is our pancake warmer. It keeps them warm until the whole batch is cooked.” “Over here is where we boil the maple tree sap into maple syrup.” “This is our automatic butter churn. We use cream from the cows in the front...”
Rotfl🤣🤣
😆 Ok, I'm broken. You broke me 😄😄.
Thanks for the laugh 🙂
yeah god help the neighbours when that thing pulls in beside them, escape out to the open spaces and next thing there's a bunch or superpower cell towers and other gadgets blasing through your head because they need to take everything with them
Well, they are working at their jobs from the vehicle.
@@maryodonnell5760 well aren’t you fun!
When you said how much you spent on this build, I was taken aback, but the result is truly amazing.
The shot of the hot tub in the middle of a river made my jaw drop.
It does occur, though, that two people living in this amount of space would have to really, really like each other.
Agreed. And the last part did cross my mind 🙈
The best ambulance buildout I have seen!!! Well researched, laid out, and executed. Great job guys...Love the idea for the solar and the hot tub!!!
That's incredibly low miles!
Tfs.
Awesome, wish you guys all the best; there aren't many people/couples that are able to share a dream. You are both blessed.
Wow. Just watched this with my wife and really impressed. You both did a great job showing Tonya.
Hot tub is winner of the month. Thumbs up.
In am a Tiny Home Video addict so I get ideas for my Tiny build and I have watched literally
HUNDREDS of Tiny Home videos!
Hi Guys ! I've been watching videos with this kind of conversion for almost 6 years and I'm amazed by what you've created! Congratulations !
Love this whole setup, well done! That water system to prevent freezing is genius!
What a nice couple. That was such a pleasant tour of a really great and well thought out build. All that ambulance storage is a dream!
Such a sweet set up! You are living the dream. So proud of you and you finding a wife that would join you in your adventures!!
The absolute best conversion that I have seen. Great presentation of the whole ambulance. You guys know how to do it. Should go into business.
Wow, kudos to Chris & Michelle for a great job, the design, layout, materials, and build quality are top-notch!!!
Hey, i have been watching lots of RV's videos, and this is however, so far, one of the best (or the best rather) conversion into an RV...lots of space been utilized technically and, lots of space been left wonderfully...hence, it looks really great amd awesome, feels a cool wide area walking or sitting in...simple loved it
I agree ". This is the future. Why pay a mortgage. I'm certain that they can get a policy that would insure against car accidents, theft or loss.
One of my biggest concerns with fitting a mobile tiny house is figuring out WHAT the essentials are. I am glad you touched upon that throughout the video! Tells me I need to do more research! ^_^
I am VERY impressed with this! You thought of EVERYTHING! You have the perfect go-anywhere rig.
I love that dometic pull out freezer refrigerator that’s an awesome idea
I enjoy seeing those homeowners that have made their sink a priority, and still managed to have adequate counter space.
i must have said "omg THATS COOL" about 15 times through this tour!! such a awesome build!!
Did I miss the gray water tanks? You have thing I’ve never thought of or seen in other builds! Fantastic ideas!
Hi! Our gray water is the black tank under the sink. It dumps with a valve in the box when we need to empty it at a dump station.
This is one of the finest conversions I’ve ever seen
That is magnificent.. except for the gold tiles. Really nice build. I would love one of those my fear is the plan for petroleum combustion engines.
Love it really nice guys.
I have experienced the camper van life before but this is literally my ideal design of a camper home. The layout, design, amenities, extras, its exactly how I would want it. If I ever make the jump it'll definitely be similar to this! Good job!!! 👍👍👍
This is so nice! I love how they have a shower and it’s not in the way.
