I love your design!! I spent 20 years working inside your exact rig as a medic. Now looking at this and having a desire to do this lifestyle… your design is mind blowing. Well done. Happy and safe journeys..
I drove Red Cross ERVs for 15 years, I recognized this right away as an Emergency Response Vehicle (ERV). Technically it was never an ambulance as they were built specifically for the Red Cross. I love what you did to it, it’s beautiful and an excellent retirement for the old girl. Well done!!
Yes you’re right! We specifically wanted the ERV because they are a bit taller inside the box (hubby is 6’1) and there was much less tear out involved. We call it an “ambo” because that’s the term most people recognize, but in deeper convo we explain it’s a retired Red Cross vehicle. It still has the emblem on the top and we left the unit number on the back too! Thanks for your comment ☺️ we do love our home.
Thank you. We also dreamed for several years before we were able to go for it. I hope you get your chance and when you do, feel free to reach out if you need anything!
You did an amazing job with Earl I believe, I can't wait to see the next video.. I got queasy watching you hike that trail and go over the bridge, I am so afraid of heights 🤢, the dogs bless their hearts, I didn't think they would go but the love of their Mommy won over. You all take care and keep safe. God Bless. 🙂
Thank you for your kind words ❤ we took a break from videos recently but will be back with them soon 😀 the winter was a bit uninspiring but the spring is thawing out our creativity.
Thank you! We hope you enjoy our adventures :) it’s been so fun sharing it with others. The Perimeter trail in Ouray is incredible!! I naively thought it would be chill-but nope. It’s a lot of up and downs and damn, the views 😍
Thank you so much for sharing those amazing views just beautiful!! Your build is awesome really feels like home. The dogs are having the time of their lives. Keep living great!!
I hope you are carrying with one in the chamber. Also remember to always have eyes on the back of the hats because predators think you can see them. It's always good to let someone know your whereabouts. Don't run and if you're helping a wild animal cover their eyes, it calms them. ❤
Thank you ❤️ my dogs went from Dallas street dogs to living the best life and that’s exactly what they deserve. I’m so happy I can give them the best dog life ❤️❤️
Excellent ambo tour! I just picked up a 2002 Ford E-350 Ambo w/ the 7.3L turbodiesel. Will definitely be re-watching this as I plan my build. Huge thanks for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed the tour! You’re welcome to email us at theorybybecky@gmail.com if you have any specific questions, we’re always happy to help! Or find us on insta ☺️ happy building!
Building a rig is not easy, a lot of planning, time, trial & errors, but the outcome of your build looks professionally done. The layout was planned very well.
Thank you-we tweaked and fine tuned over 2 years of building. Thankfully Meade is very methodical and able to think ahead many steps. We are so happy with the outcome!
Hey new subscriber here. Great rig wow. Job well done on that interior. Our Ambo is pretty basic , spent more time , money and effort on that. 1 year on the road now and all is well. We just left Moab now close to Boise heading north slowly. Best of luck. Maybe we will cross paths one day.
Thanks for the sub! If you find me on Instagram, same handle, send me a message! We’re in the PNW for awhile and maybe can hook up 😀 we love meeting other ambos on the road!
Thanks! We have some videos of our building process, but nothing coherent and put together like these RUclips videos. We were too busy building 😂 I think we will put out a compilation of building videos in the future sometime.
Thanks for the feedback. We’re still working out the kinks to making quality videos and gathering the right equipment 😊 next video I’ll speak from the diaphragm as my theater director used to say 😂
Why do content providers just drop off at the end????? In my opinion, I believe that's just plain rude!!! No, thanks for watching all the way to the end!! No, see you in our next video!! Not even a goodbye for now!! I wonder how eager I will want to click on another video from you???? It's all about you engaging your audience....
You know, it takes a lot of effort to make quality videos. No matter how we do it, or how often, SOMEONE won’t be satisfied. We make these for our friends and family, and as a way of journaling this special time in our lives. Sometimes, there’s just not enough time, or we aren’t doing anything all that interesting to film. But thanks for letting us know you’re interested in seeing more 😀😀😀
Becky, you responded so kindly to Veronica's comment! Bravo to you! I had many things I wanted to say in response, but I chose to hold my tongue. (hehe) In all truth, I am not at all bothered by the "ums". I am too focused on the information you are providing and the adventures you are sharing to be bothered by somethinkg like that. Additionally, I say "um" probably every half word! My hubby and I LOVE your videos. We think you both are doing incredible. I like your "regular ole human being" speech. You don't come across scripted, you come across natural and very down to earth. We LOVE that. I have learned that there will always be people who will want you to change or do things a certain way to fit THEIR desires and preferences. I like to encourage people to stay true to themselves and only change something about yourself if YOU want to, and if YOU think it will make you a better version of yourself. Such a pleasant video this was! Thank you for sharing your build!!
Because we didn’t have access to a planer, I had to use the belt sander to level the countertop. Once that was done I did the finishing sanding with the grain 😊

Its freakin me out that the entrance is on the drivers side ! FANTASTIC RIG !
Lol-we succumbed to the fact that our rig would be a little different that way. Thank you ☺️

I love this layout a ton. I've been dreaming of doing an ambulance conversion for a couple years now. This is great inspiration.

Out of this world van flippen nice
Thanks ☺️
Amazing campervan! Thank you for the video!
Thanks for watching!
...that compartmentalized wardrobe was excellent ...somehow the driver side entrance door gives it a whole new fresh feel
Thank you! It’s surprising how many people are absolutely bewildered by the drivers side rv door. For us it was kinda a no brainer 🤷🏻♀️
I LOVE this design
Thank you so much 😊

Great job Meade

Thank you 😊 our dogs are my KIDS lol. Seeing them loving life brings me so much joy.
Great build,
l like the cork board thing in kitchen. Some smashing ideas.
Thank you 😊
the interior has a nice balance of natural wood and colored surfaces
Thank you! I picked out the cushion fabric before I decided on the paint colors. If I could have a re-do, the bench wouldn’t be blue.

Thanks for the advice 😊
Amazing rig! Looks really well planned out. Would love to see the exterior and garage tour as well. Cheers!
That will be coming soon! Probably in the next couple episodes
Awesome rig!

Awww thanks!! You will love your ambo, I promise 😊 Meade is working on video 4, coming this Saturday!
Beautiful work!
Thank you!
Loool! those dogs were head down duck walking across that bridge ...looked like they were lil bewildered looking straight down the whole time
It’s true, they hated it but they’re such good girls, they did it!

yak yak yak yak. Please, fewer empty and obvious statements to pad out your vid time. So so so boring.
It wasn’t to “pad” our video…I just like to talk lol. Lucky for you, you don’t have to watch 🙃
Very hard listening to someone talk when every other word is 'um'. Highly annoying
I hear you…I annoyed myself too when watching it 😂 unfortunately I’m not a professional, yet lol. Just a regular ole human being doing my best ☺️

Stop slapping your hands on that counter too please. It is so loud when you do that. Have respect for your viewers
Mike, get a life and leave her alone. Better yet, move on to another video. No one is making you watch this……and there is just no need to be so mean.
