Heaton Parkrun 20/01/2024

I ran Heaton Park in 22:16 and finished 51st. We had a great time there was 1014 runners and 61 volunteers, well done and a huge thank you to everyone.
It is great and very warming to see people who recognizes me as "The Running Mark". I came up with this name because it is a generic name: I am actually called Mark and I like running.
This week is a special treat we did the Winter alternate course at Heaton Park with the ice, snow conditions and other Parkruns cancelling. No stitches this week. Running up Angina hill three times is quite hard.

i have done the half marathon twice at Heaton park and that is 4 laps planning to do it again in April

That’s great keep up the good work, I’ve done 10ks and Half Marathons in the past.
The Go-Pro battery is terrible so I would not advised and also the Go-Pro overheats after leaving it on for so long

Was you at the 14th jan run? I didnt see you. I was on the 5k run. Iv never ran heaton park before it killed me that day so many steep hills! I dont know how you do it!

I am so sorry, I do not think I made it to the 14th of January I think I was running Macclesfield. The hills are difficult, but you sound like you preserved and you did great.

Thank you so much, I beat my PB that day I was not expecting those hills lol my fault I didn't see the race map for heaton, im running the stockport daffodil 10k are you going to that one?
