Preston Parkrun 08/06/2024

I ran Preston Parkrun this morning in 21:10 (just 1 second off completing my stopwatch bingo) and I finished 31st.
It was a harder Parkrun because of the hill and I not positioning myself properly. The weather held off a little, I thought the heavens was going to open. The run itself was a 3 lap course which took a lot of perseverance.
Feels good to get my dopamine fix this week, I think I needed this one. I think I do like the Manchester Half Marathon shirt, it remind me of a Pokéball.
Thank you to the runners and volunteers. Everyone was all incredible.

Thanks for uploading. I enjoy watching your runs. They’re a great way of getting an insight of a course. Which parkrun is your favourite to run in the north west? I did my first run at Conkers near Ashby the other week (while visiting family) and loved it. The funny thing is a live in the North West and never gone a local one! 😂

@@robertkitto6412 it’s fine you can run any Parkrun and yeah that’s why I run with a camera to give insight of the course.
It also works as a time capsule of what the course looked like on that particular day.
My favourite on biased opinion is Heaton Park because it’s my original course.

I agree, the Great Manchester Run tops are great this year. They're a nice design and very comfortable for running whereas last years were a bit heavy and could rub a bit. Much prefer this years.

It is a fantastic course and park, I think it’s their alternate route because I have done it in the past but I couldn’t remember.

My local parkrun 😃 I don’t get to do it often anymore with family life but i do actually miss the hill 😂 have you got the camera on your cap?

Yeah I wear the camera on my head. It’s good because it teaches me to keep my head up 😂.
This was a fun event to be honest, come back when you’re ready. Stronger, faster and better 💪
