Usually people like to say that they're thankful for the universe. I think the universe should be thankful for Ahmad Jamal.
AWESOME. The guy on the upright bass gave all he had. Everyone did. So glad I found his music. Love it.
RIP Ahmad .....one of the most elegant piano players in jazz history. So love this track.....
Sure miss him. Rest with the creator Sir
Truly superb . Heard about him just recently and was so awed by his style of music . And sad to see he is no more . So much style ! Wow !
Outstanding rhythm, timing of the instruments, the bass is “cookin,” the percussionist is right on time, the drummer keeps it going and Amal Jamal is still the master. I’m going to add this to my collection.
Eivis presly songs..
Another planet we visited
This is heavenly.
He was the first jazz artist I listened to ...way back 1958.
Soothingly cool, I can read, dance, relax or house chores this is good mood music. Enjoyed since back in the 1970's
absolutely mesmerizing - Love his music!!!
Picks perfect notes like Miles, and lets the bass and drums project.Genius in his own right and. easy to listen to. Has an appreciation for all the other musicians in his group.Seems very humble for being a genius.Love his music
Robert Buffone ...Miles started using space and particular notes from listening to Ahmad Jamal.
This is jazz precision with a real piano versus fender rhodes ....the bassist is phenomenal, especially Manolo on percussion his timing is rhythm of perfection. 89 years young and "Ammy Jammy" is a living legend. #JUZT JENIUS
Conceivably my favourite jazz pianist these days.
I ADORE THOSE CHORDS AT 215 MAN OH MAN
SO lovely this theme, but also every musitian in this video is absolutly georgeus!! Makes me feel SO happy that I fell like crying too. SO lucky to listen this jew. Thank You. ; )
Ahmad, you are an absolute treasure. Many thanks.
The rhythms are absolutely fascinating.
Ahmad jamal. Great jazz pianist. My idol
seriously - I've only just encountered him, and it's like ... listening to Miles for the first time
Wonderful. I love all the rhythm. Bass, drums, percussion and piano. Fantastic.
Serious, playful, pleasureful all at the same time- God bless you Mr. Ahmad!
Nothing like the sound of JAZZ on a real piano
The pianists pianist and always will be!
Beautiful! Thank you for uploading this! Still got it in his eighties; Ahmad Jamal
So beautiful. Just so beautiful.
His music inspired me to learn to play a piano 🎹 ✨
Wynton heard the backbeat and dipped lmao
BASS MAN IS GOD
Absorbing and absorbed, thank you for the art.
Wow! thank you, brother Ahmad Jamal.
I think Jamal's next concert is 2/8/2020....Kennedy Center.....I would love to hear live!
Me too! Only came across him this year. Introduced him to my Mother and friends so they can enjoy his gift too.

Where is whynon ?
I think I'm gonna have some sort of attack, just found out they are performing in San Fran on Sept 9, I will arrive in Calif on 16th...if I had only known
Superb!
Wynton in name only
Nice.
What a wonderful masterpiece! However, I couldn't hear the trumpet of Marsalis. Am I deaf?
excellent
Reginald Veal is simply nasty!
And Perfect
All jazz artist are unforgiving no doubt, agree, somebody say yes.
So would anyone know where to find a chart for this tune?
Was Winton in the w.c.?
No musicians can own them, ok.
La caida del cariyú comienza! 3:58
No Wynton??
Wynton went out on a brake...
a disc brake, it seems.
👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Great trumpet solo - NOT! How many of us clicked to see A.J. & Wynton play together?
So where's Wynton then?
Just wondering: What if the piano was stage left? Like Thelonious.
Then the very talented bandleader Ahmad Jamal could look his players straight on.
He could nod and know they caught his cue to solo.
the trick is in no need for seeing bandmates - they rather FEEL the leader and each other
The position of piano is how Ahmad liked so he can listen better
Où est Wynton Marsalis?
Love the groove but the percussionist is killing me. Less is more…
Wynton Marsalis has nothing on the musicianship of Ahmad Jamal playing in the 50s.Back then, in the 50s, Black Jazz musicians were the most accomplished and liked on the radio and records. But were never awarded monetary awards by the record companies. Black musicians whose music garnered the record companies extensive amounts of money, were never compensated. because they were Black. Whomever the Black musicians hired as their agents, white or black people it didn't matter. The record companies CEO's, were never, ever going to provide a positive, enhancing music contract to a Black person. This was the norm, until the rappers came into the mix and told the white executives, "not today dude!"
