      Yes sir, it really does the job! Less messy than packing grease in there, which also works great! 😂

      Thank you, I have a good feeling about this block, I think it will be fine. Im glad the bread pulled that bearing out, because the way it was broken a regular puller might not work 😮

    I’m not sure how I missed this! That had an odd water pump housing. Almost like an Explorer

      That block is off an SN95, yeah the timing cover is different, I learned so much putting this one together, I also didn’t know that the piston rings are different (metric) than the older 302

    Very nice! I'm glad you found a new heart replacement. Can't wait to see this all unfold. BTW, I was thinking "why is there a loaf of bread sitting there", then I saw the pilot bearing and it all hit me, LOL.

      Im excited to get the car running! Im definitely gonna use a couple of things from the old 302, like the accessories, the intake and headers. It also has gt40 heads but I fear that all that stuff is gonna be damaged so I rather not count on it. 😢

    that longblock looks to be in good shape! I tried to do the bread trick under the car and that was a pain, went and rented the pilot bearing puller from oreilly! that still took alot of effort from underneath the car!

      I’ve used the bread trick a few times under the car, and its very awkward because I was laying on my back! This time I had no choice because the pilot bearing was chipped and had chunks missing, I don’t know if the puller would have worked well 😂

    The bread trick!! I would guess it’s from a 94-95. It has 94-95 fuel rails. Not gonna need the smog pump? In California? 🤔 that’s a genuine Cobra intake too🤘

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  10 месяцев назад

      Yeah, that bread did the job! A dentist told me that sandwich bread is one of the common reasons tooth fillings get knocked out too 😂😂… the smog pump probably won’t work since the engine is going on a Fox, I think that timing cover might not work for me either with the front accessories 😢

    • @MstaEd
      @MstaEd 10 месяцев назад

      Don't think that is a genuine factory intake. I have two factory Cobra intakes and this ain't it.

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  10 месяцев назад

      @@MstaEd Are you talking about a 94-95 Cobra intake? Because that is completely different… the one on the t-top is a 93 style, Im not sure that it’s one off an actual Cobra car, but it’s definitely not a later Ford Racing reproduction, because those have a flat section past the throttle that says Ford Racing.

    • @MstaEd
      @MstaEd 10 месяцев назад +1

      @@MrBlitzkrieg1987 I have a 94 Cobra motor on a engine stand. The cobra is cast into the intake and painted black. Not sure what the reproduction looks like.

    • @MrBlitzkrieg1987
      @MrBlitzkrieg1987  10 месяцев назад +1

      Yeah I know what you mean, the intake that is on the back of the truck came off a 94-95 GT so the lower intake is from a Gt, the 93 Cobra intake is the one on the beginning of the video when I open the hood of the car, 93s had a plaque and the cobra wasn’t cast into the intake like the later ones
