My wife and I had a chance to see this plane today at the factory in London, Ontario. Such a beautiful aircraft. Sat in the cockpit and 1 hour later I was still smiling on the way home. Love Love Love.
Thank you. I'm interested in this aircraft and didn't find it difficult at all to appreciate the content despite the negative comments about the audio. 73k+ views - seems like people agree with me. Keep up the good work and it doesn't hurt to pay attention to the feedback. To the people who were so offended that they just couldn't continue watching - bye, have a nice life!
Between the engine out and banking INTO the dead engine, and the stall where the DA-62 just flew stable in a 700ft per minute decent with the stick all the way back.... This is one of the smoothest airplanes I've ever flown. If I sell $1 million worth of Pilot Partner Subscriptions in 2017, I'll buy one and take people flying :)
It amazes me that these sophisticated engine control systems are only used on the diesels. I keep hoping Lycoming's iE2 will get some traction on the avgas side, and I guess it's finally going to make it into a certified airplane sometime soon, but sheesh.
That's because this particular engine is a modified automotive engine - a Mercedes OM-640 2.0L diesel - so the ECU systems and sensors have already been worked out and in production for years.
Great plane, great pilot, excellent explaining but the videofilming was to shaky and you had always the rooftop in sight. I would suggest a camera mount on different positions in the plane.
Jonathan Thomas I have a love hate relationship with putting music on the videos. I had some issues with the audio cable not recording all of the audio, so I used music to help glue it together. I'll try and tone it down on future videos. Thanks for watching!
Mixing the music high over your dialog with the tower doesn't match that issue. Generally the music is loud and intrusive and generally pointless. It's annoying enough that I'm done with this video.
Agreed. Love the video and especially your explanations throughout. And I see how the music did "blend" everything together. I actually like the music, but it was a little overpowering at times. But, that's no complaint, just comment. Love this aircraft and your presentation of it. Thank you.
Great little aircraft. Does this it have beta on the props? With a diesel's high torque it should be very effective in in braking the aircraft to a stop.
ZManMD it does not have beta in the props. But it's light enough that brakes are not an issue. I'm sure if they added the beta it would make the aircraft heavier and lower useful load.
Diamond, I am an absolute Fan....BUT, please consider offering optional DUAL SIDE-STICKS or DUAL YOKES. Being that this beautiful twin is aggressively marketed as a trainer and most student Pilots, invest money and time for their twin rating, in an effort to one day become a commercial Aviator, these options will only better help them have better muscle memory/familiarization, when they have accomplished their goal and will most likely end up in a dual side-stick airbus or dual Yoke Boeing aircraft. Not to mention, those Private/Personal Use Pilots, who simply feel a little more comfortable flying yokes or side-sticks. A few other options that would possibly help, and may be a great selling feature for all potential customers (personal/recreation/rental or training), is : AOA, TWIN TURBINES and PRESSURIZED CABIN! A roomy, 7-place, very capable twin, such as the DA-62 and it's price point, should offer a pressurized cabin option for Aviators that want a more expansive view, and more importantly, get themselves and their passengers above the weather, without having to shove an oxygen tube up their noses! Other than that, keep up the most excellent work, and never stop thinking outside of the box/being as innovative as possible!👍
Awesome Aircraft! I would Prefer to hear discussion, Explanations, and while I Love Music - I want to learn about the aircraft, its sounds - no Music! I want to listen to the airplane!
Jacob smith When you're 50 Pretty much all of aviation will be electric and the old internal combustion airplanes will be worth nothing, not even something you'd want to own.
Brian Hudson after reading all these comments, I do regret the music, but of course it would take way too much to find all the raw footage and recut it. Oh well. At least it’s a cool plane.
Peter Wasowski, I know what you mean, I hate the music myself. When I shot this video, I did a quick edit and posted it, I never expected it to get as many views as it did. If I was trying to produce a popular video, it would have done a much better editing job. Stay tuned for better content in the future.
Another video with great potential but ruined by music. I fail to understand why “content creators” think a blaring music overlay is important. Who are they listening to for advice? Clearly not the people who actually like the topic. What a waste.
When I put this video together, I didn’t do it as a content creator. I just quickly slapped some footage together to share it. Never expected it to actually get viewed heavily. Otherwise I would have produced it better.
Colin Rogers, I know what you mean, I hate the music myself. When I shot this video, I did a quick edit and posted it, I never expected it to get as many views as it did. Wow... that one engine.. explanation and demostration would have done it for me... What a great airplane...
I do love this plane. Wish I could afford to get one myself.
Even being a three year old video, still a darn good one. Thank you for sharing
Thank You for an awesome video. I keep watching and like this plane even more!
Very nice video. Thanks for sharing. Sweet plane and excellent demo pilot. I liked that guy.
I've never heard music in any aircraft flight deck I've flown in. Why would I want to hear any now?
A great flying machine with a lot of safety features.
What a beautiful little airplane... I want one!
Beautiful aircraft!! Good job explaining the avionics
very cool video...awesome airplane
can you do this version without music on a separate vid?? thankyou!
Esse veio p/ ficar top em
Nicely explained, thanks for the great video!
Awesome 🤩
I do love this plane. I saw it in New Orleans the week before Christmas parked in the hangar.
the engine out stuff at ~ 6:40 is absolutely impressive.

@@glibsonoran Very interesting.
Another great video wasted by covering the sound of the engines with music.
Now I want one of these
Our first aircraft
I love this plane...
Muito bom meu sonho de consumo aqui em Brasília...Muito econômico parabéns
Great plane, great pilot, excellent explaining but the videofilming was to shaky and you had always the rooftop in sight. I would suggest a camera mount on different positions in the plane.
Love this planer
What about an engine failure on take off? With the critical engine. Lf. Failing ??
1.4 million I want this plane.
👍 very nice.
I love the videos, but the music interferes a bit too much, I think. Thanks for the upload!

When this appears as an instructional video that it is, music is totally out of place.
Agreed. Love the video and especially your explanations throughout. And I see how the music did "blend" everything together. I actually like the music, but it was a little overpowering at times. But, that's no complaint, just comment. Love this aircraft and your presentation of it. Thank you.
Diesel power seems pretty obvious to make use of in light aircraft.

I want one. Hopefully I can scale my real estate business to the noon in a few shirt yesrs.
I’ve been wanting one ever since I did this demo flight. So far Pilot Partner hasn’t scaled enough to buy me one.
I want one or two
Awesome Aircraft! I would Prefer to hear discussion, Explanations, and while I Love Music - I want to learn about the aircraft, its sounds - no Music! I want to listen to the airplane!
I am waiting to win the lottery to get one of the these
Awesome plane great view of the cockpit looks like great fun to fly. Next time please kill the music.
As a 17 year old, hopefully when I'm like 50 or 60 I can buy a used one of these for a cheap (by aviation standards) price!
Jacob smith When you're 50 Pretty much all of aviation will be electric and the old internal combustion airplanes will be worth nothing, not even something you'd want to own.
sweettttttttt
turn off that music it doesn't help at all.
It was interesting to see the plane in action, but it was like the music was constantly fighting for attention.
Brian Hudson after reading all these comments, I do regret the music, but of course it would take way too much to find all the raw footage and recut it. Oh well. At least it’s a cool plane.
@@PilotPartner It is a fantastic plane, I would love to fly one someday. I appreciate the effort put into the video anyhow. Thanks for sharing.
Damn music
Music is not mandatory on an informative video, that is my pet peeve with youtube videos, a lot of people make them aggravating by adding music
Elevator music kills this video
Peter Wasowski, I know what you mean, I hate the music myself. When I shot this video, I did a quick edit and posted it, I never expected it to get as many views as it did. Not enough exterior views..
Either your cameraman was awful jumpy, or the DA-62 is a rough plane.
Never saw a DA-62 video which made me as dizzy as this one.
It's amateur video, some dude sitting in the back seat holding a camera which is most likely of lower quality than the smartphone in his pocket.
Yeah. ditch the music thing..
that logo is hugee and its covering the most space... thats such a shame
And probably $340,000
Good luck with that. Probably just a bit past 1 million.
bigc208 Researched it..... I stand corrected
Music is unnecessary.
At the beginning all I see is the back of a white haired man during start up
Please do not put music on these videos it is not needed at anytime
Good video.... but completely destroyed with the senseless music. Pity.
Kill the absurd lounge lizard music. I hate it. It is about planes, not amateur video production.
get rid of the music
Retracting flaps while still on runway... One day you're gonna reach for the gear handle by accident.
kill the music, so annoying.
that music sure sucks
that music is awful
That piano is annoying so at 3:17 I left.
DIESEL

God damn music. completely ruins this video.
Lose the music. Spoils an otherwise great video

Get rid of that dumb music.
