Honest guys, I am just working on my pilot license and trying to decide what plane to buy when I get my money that has been coming for a while now and this is one of the planes I'm looking at. That is a nice model and pair job. Not only that it would look good on you guys. I would take the plane over the car any day. Go for it guys.
Nice planes. I have a friend with a Beechcraft Baron that got me into flying. My friend also flew sailplanes and talked me into learning how to fly gliders first. That was the best advice I could have been given. Besides a great sport to be involved in it teaches you so much more about flight maneuvers that when I went to get my private power I flew through it in two months. People always ask my friend why he has his own plane, he has a very simple answer. I keep my sailplane at an airport 150 miles from home and I like to fly there so I can spend the day truly flying, oh yea, because he can.
This is my DREAM aircraft! Awesome and efficient fuselage design and fuel-injected piston engines and G1000s! And 7 seats! What could possibly be more awesome than that!
People need to understand, the fact that they're using Diesel engines is a HUGE deal, this is damn near unheard of in aviation. Normal aviation engines are extremely expensive, using something sourced from the automotive industry has the benefit that far FAR more car engines are built than aircraft engines, so prices can come down, parts availability goes up, etc. Also, aviation fuel is usually a good $1/gallon more expensive than automotive fuel, so running Diesel is very smart. Also, just for information's sake, Diamond sure makes nice aircraft, but they're pretty darned expensive. You can get a similar aircraft to this DA62 for far, far less, but it won't be quite as fancy, of course.
Diesels can run on just about anything. Motor oil, kerosene, jet A. They are probably running it on Jet A because diesel is not readily available at all airports.
+Nicholas Haines not all airports necessarily have that. However, even if it is available, automotive fuel isn't necessarily a good option because, especially in more remote or undeveloped areas, fuel quality can be questionable. Jet A-1, however, is available in many places, and the quality of that is virtually guaranteed to be good, putting low quality fuel in a jet engine simply isn't an option. And it's not just airliners and private jets that use it, but many smaller planes are turboprops, many helicopters are turboshafts, many ground power units are turbine powered, all of which are fed the same fuel.
misegades They don't actually run diesel, they run the various jet fuels like JT-A or A1. You are right that it is often cheaper, and more available in Europe and most places. Also, there aren't really any other aircraft like the DA42/62. They are the only aircraft with the efficient diesels, are the most aerodynamic and are probably the safest twin available. This is because of how easy it is to handle an engine-out due to the FADEC controls. Also, getting 180+ knots at around 16gph burn is unheard of.
That's dope man. Cool you like to be involved all around the east coast. I live in Winchester VA and visit many car shows all through Maryland and Pennsylvania. Keep the content coming.
What is this plane used for? 1000 nmi range but it’s only cruising at under 200 kt. It takes 5 hours to utilize the whole range. At that point you might as well fly commercial. So what is this plane used for?
Jeffrey I really love your video Ferrari at 17 and I personally want to see more of those business type videos. I want to start my own business but I also was interested in penny stocks, just don't know where to start.
Im getting my Private Pilot Certification right now over the summer, and in the fall im attending college to study aviation. If you ever need a flight in the future, hit me up haha
What you don't understand is the maintenance on an aircraft like this will end up being about the price of two 918s landing brakes alone are well over 100,000 grand.
Wow beautiful piece of machinery, I love aviation myself. I wish I could get that chance, but I will only get to work on aircraft after I ship to the navy at the end of august. I'm 18 but saw your video on how you got there and was thinking about starting to invest myself, how much would you recommend starting to invest?
+JR Garage thanks, I just got a few hundred from a recent job and wanted to invest it, just wondered how much to start with and how many stocks to invest in.
Hey JR I'm 19 and want to get into investing. I was just wondering what app or website you used or can you link me to another vid for me? Thanks man and keep up the good work on the vids.
That citation encore is nowhere near 9 mil. A new Cessna Citation CJ4 but not the Encore. They stopped production in 06 I believe and they now trade between 2.5 and 4 mil. you can see them listed on controller.com Its a great airplane and is rated to fly single pilot as well.
+Ontario Linson invest or something. But if you could come up with an idea that nobody have come up with, and if It is simple but genious, then you could start making some real jeeeeez
I must say that Diamond DA62 is much better than that Cessna Citation, or even any Beechcraft Baron or so.
I am not a pilot but even I want a DA62!! Beautiful machine!!!!

At last! A video of a DA 62 taking off without music. Love those engines.
This is my DREAM aircraft! Awesome and efficient fuselage design and fuel-injected piston engines and G1000s! And 7 seats! What could possibly be more awesome than that!
Duncan7750 exactly. Although I would question the need for such a large aircraft for my normal usage.
this is one of the most beautiful aircrafts available. SO awesome
I've been flying since was 6! I have an old luscombe, pretty fun to cruise around
Great
Planning on getting my license by next year but we'll see
Don’t u mean the MIGHTY Luscombe lol 👍
now I love your channel even more! i wish I could get video content like this!!
Thanks! Glad you like the content.
+JR Garage no problem. congrats on the success of the channel. you guys deserve it.
+Private Plane Life I'm 12 I've always been into planes and helicopters
For a twin the fuel economy is a revolution. its uses roughly the same amount of fuel per mile to run as a 2 liter petrol car.
Interested in airplanes too? You both just went up a notch in my book!! Just got my private pilots license in 2014, it's totally worth it!
Thanks man! Yea I can't wait to get a private license.

Then where do the airports refuel all their diesel trucks and equipment?

Oh yeah! That's a beauty alright! Glad to hear you're interested in Aviation! :)
Yup that Cessna Citation Encore is my dream jet, not to mention they are quick!
I'm glad you give prices.

Have you seen the Epic LT it is very cool and fun to fly in!
That's dope man. Cool you like to be involved all around the east coast. I live in Winchester VA and visit many car shows all through Maryland and Pennsylvania. Keep the content coming.

"Porsche 916 or DA62?" uuuuuh DA62 always

TBM 940
@@ChrisEpler king air 350i with luxury interior
Do you really need the headsets in the Da62 or is there enough sound proofing that you would be alright without them?
Jeffrey Redekop It's quite loud.
Im getting my Private Pilot Certification right now over the summer, and in the fall im attending college to study aviation. If you ever need a flight in the future, hit me up haha
and, are you still flying?
Lucky haha. I also have interest in aviation. Going to college for aviation this august!
What you don't understand is the maintenance on an aircraft like this will end up being about the price of two 918s landing brakes alone are well over 100,000 grand.
For around a million dollars it better be a nice plane!
Nice job boys, gives you something to think about doesn’t it?🤙

+Justin Hamlin Alright cool thank you!
Diamond 982 for sure
If cars are measured by horse power, then are planes measured by bird power?🤔
lel
Jesse Zelaya 👌🏼😂
No
If I've already had a car, the next vehicle that i would get is a plane rather than another car.
love you t-shirt.
Awesome
Geez my boat drinks 15 gph. Not bad!
Nice dude. Keep it up ;)

It's very loud inside for a luxury airplane.
Wonder how much they’ll sell for in 10 years?? $700-800K?
918 Spyder over the plane any day! Although, a 918 Spyder Weissach is about 2 times what that plane costs haha
Go with the diamond
It's jr garage not jr hangar
918 is nearly 2M now
Love this video as I myself love flying
