My objective for this channel is to share with others what I have learned over the last 30+ years about living and eating healthier. I share my knowledge with my small circle of friends all the time. I am not a doctor, nor do I hold any type of medical degree, but I believe that my tried experiences may help someone else.
For over 30 years I have used every diet imaginable to lose weight, but I confess that I am now at home using the vegan lifestyle. I want to share what I have learned about eating and enjoying food. And, since I am still learning how to be more consistent with this lifestyle, I have decided to eat more healthily, realizing the weight will come off eventually. Though I have not reached my goal weight, I know that sharing with other people in front of a camera with help me to stay on course.
I have, with the help of my husband of 37 years, raised 3 grown children. I will also share some cooking shortcuts as well as some natural formulas I have used and still use for everyday problems.

A quick comment.... Slicing in half or wedges (not slices) with the juicy side up keeps more of the tomato flavor in the end product as it won't get lost and dried out on the rack or sheet.

I was here today thinking about dehydrating my tomatoes from the garden. A friend and I went out thrifing and I came across two dehydrators. Yes I snatched them both up. Unfortunately the one with the fan would not heat. I was looking for videos on how to dehydrate the tomatoes and I came across yours. I sat down to watch it and I am so happy to have found you. Such a pleasant calm voice and thorough teaching along with finished product. You took all the stress out of attempting to use my dehydrators. I am going to contact the manufacturer of the one that isn't working to see if they can send me the part for it. I surely hope so . I did like and subscribe to your channel. I have 2 Excalibur and 2 Nesco. I really like both of them. (I love to preserve great deals on frozen veg and I have a big garden). One of each brand I got new and 2 I got used. I have not had mechanical issues with any of them. The Nescos are great because especially the Nesco Professional can stack up to 13 trays. These dried tomatoes keep quite awhile too! Thanks for sharing!!! Also or those whole can tomatoes, save the peels and make tomato powder. The little coffee grinders do an awesome job of powdering the dried peels!

FANTASTIC LOVELY!!! Just love the simplicity of the prepping and simple ingredients. What great snack idea and so so....healthy. Can you use a standard oven to also dehydrate? My mother n law had a adjustable window screen she would dry apples on in hot of summer. She would place window screen in back window dashboard of car. Would keep all windows up on car. Worked out fantastic. My daughter baked kale in oven to make kale chips. They were delicious. She just sprinkled them with spices after baking. I absolutely love the thought that dehydrating is all the pure product no added stuff you cannot pronounce. God bless you, Tamson from Kentucky.

I don’t know if you shared on this….I take some of my dried tomatoes and pulverize them into a powder, I use it to enhance flavors of soups, and basically anything you would like some rich sweetness. A few years back I grew a variety of tomatoes that I did not find to be very delicious, but I had a blue million of them. I dried them to see if they could be salvaged. Drying them brought out their sweetness, which overcame their bitter flavor. It occurred to me to try to powder them. Now they are tough, so you might want to dedicate a small food processor to them. Anyway, I put a couple of moisture packs per pint, and they have a great shelf life.
