I like how the Nutrition expert defined the ingredients with Nutella. It makes it so much more eye opening.
Literally no one thought Nutella was healthy. Right? 😂
However, in some cases where companies do market their food as being good for you or a healthy alternative when in fact its not, i think that's very unfair to customers who are more mindful of what they put in their bodies.
"I don't know how to read a nutritional label, so I will just sue the company instead!" That sure is the American way.
This is from Canada
That's what dropping out of high school does to them.
You can read them all you like, but they're not always easy to understand...
The only thing companies understand is $$$$.
But the labels are misleading if your make a mistake of 100% going through it. Also some people just don’t have the time and energy to read into labels and nutrition. Like the tricky thing they do is the servings. Also one last thing, this is in Canada.

the thing about the fruit bar is that it's pretty healthy, unlike what these "experts" are saying.
this bar uses fruits and fruit pectin, and thats it. Pretty healthy, fruit as we know is healthy and fruit pectin comes out of a fruit as well.
Contrary to what these "experts" are saying you CANNOT compare fruit pectin with sucrose.
They strip the natural fiber out, which is what slows the glycemic load of real whole fruits… so no. Fruit bars are not the same or even comparable to fruit, even if made with fruit sugar only, health wise

Hey, remove Home Ec as a required class to make more time for sports + Exam prep, cut food budgets for schools so they serve branded food (sold as reduced sugar versions for the school market at a price to get the brands into the kids minds/lives) and overwork parents so they don't have the time or energy to scratch cook, and this is what you end up with 🤷♀️
So you're telling me that large, multi-national corporations DO NOT have our health in mind when marketing their products !?!? Shocking...
this is why i make all my foods from scratch. Peanut butter is easy to make just get peanuts roast them and then add some honey and some oil. It tastes better then what is in the supermarket peanut butter and I know what is in it. If i want it to last a little longer i can add orange or lemon juice

So true! I KNOW from my sound taste buds that, for instance, Milka most likely greatly increased the sugar and decreased milk and coco powder in their chocolate bars, while at the same time decreasing the ammount of the chocolate bars in total: 300 grams became 280 or 270 g and those 100 became 70g. Also - using corn syrup instead of plain sugar doubled the entire sugar intake we consume in this time and age, and that sweatness is everywhere: from ketchup, that requires some salt and sugar because of the nature of the tomatoe, still it needs to be regulated and downsized, as it does not even taste that good anymore, since the manufactures have just OVERDONE it! Leave the sugar OUT, and you will SAVE MONEY, owners of large factories! ...and you will make ENTIRE planet healthier!!!!

My government is considering introducing a sugar tax on things like sugary drinks etc to deal with child obesity, yet they have the Food health and safety authority that is supposed to protect consumers from these marketing scams but are choosing to ignore them. Such hypocrisy.
The market is there to make money the same thing happens with meat and dairy products
if you pursue these things, then there are lawsuits that take a lot of time and money from government, especially if they lose.

It’s not about protecting the public, it’s about raising tax revenue.
@@stephaniecasper7578 ....True. Consider London's congestion tax. If traffic is truly as horrendous as it is believed to be, then ban all non commercial vehicles during certain hours, with some exceptions for those with secure travel requirements.
Huge missed opportunity to rename dempsters bread to”dumpsters”
Also “smart” KD to “dumb” KD XD
The Nutella thing is crazy. I had never gotten into Nutella as a kid since we never bought it, but I've switched to it in the past year because peanuts don't agree with my body. It really is just like chocolate icing and I wish there was a low sugar version of it. I think it tastes fine but if they could get it down to 1g of sugar then it probably would be a decent option for breakfast.
i make my own soup and have for years, i tend to make mushroom soup with sweet peppers, i add no salt. my ingredients are a selection of as many mushrooms as the store has red and orange sweet peppers and onion then if being eaten straight away i add boiled ready to eat after coking rice. the rice help the soup to thicken, if not being eaten right away i omit the rice. lightly fry the peppers once cut into small pieces along with the mushrooms and the onion x2 in olive oil. whilst this is cooking i get my blender out ready once the rice is ready along with the onion peppers and mushroom are cooked place in a bowl and blend until there are no lumps of the ingredients remaining but it will become a slight brown in colour. then add the rice if eating right away, and blend again s the rice has been liquidized add half pint of milk and continue to blend as you add the milk, then add single cream i pot and return to a sauce pan no water. then simmer until everyone is ready to eat. if intention was to serve later you can freeze it if no rice was added.
Rice milk?
The nutella breakdown didn't include all the palm oil that's in it. And oil has sugar beat on total calories added.
Ţthe importance of plastic drum
@Husky Boi it does. Refined, modern day slave farmed, artery clogging palm oil:(
Add rainforest destroying.
oil is not actually bad and palm oil is not that bad. Also we humans are clearing forest to replace them with farms that is just hypocrisy to feel suddenly sad for rainforest but you don't care about other forest.

*NULTATE*
It's the same with Ribena in the UK, it was advertised as a healthy drink due to its vitamin C content. They didn't advertise the fact that it was packed with as much sugar as Coca-Cola though!
Yesss! Love how the nutrition guy uses the term "healthful" for food and "healthy" for people.
How come he doesn’t mention palm oil when it’s 40% of nutella and it’s harful too
damn right! it's just carcinogenic... we can all deal with it. but sugar, eeehhh
It's spredable chocolate ffs of course it's gona have a lot of sugar in it.
I see Nutella used in a lot of dessert recipes.
bold of them to assume that I wouldn't eat that whole bowl of potato chips
This video is much needed
It is very obvious that nutella is not healthy food lol how could something taste like chocolate can be healthy in any way?
agree. but the advertised hazelnuts on the jar is attracting us to believe it's healthier than slapping actual melted chocolate on our toast.
Actual melted chocolate is healthier....
If you get the good stuff. (at least 70% cacao)
NA FOOD KNOWLEDGE HAHAHAH
I know right!
I love Nutella but I don't think it was ment to be a heathly snack
9:19 : 'You wouldn't sit down and eat an entire big bowl of potato chips like that!'
*me looking down at my dwindling chip bowl* ...crap...
*laughs in American*
Who eats potato chips from a bowl!
I mean why not simply eat directly from the packet?
only og's remember when grocery stores looked like that 🤣
In Europe, nutritional info labels are always per 100g/ml so every product uses the same standard unit of measurement. "Per serving" as a measuring unit is meant to deceive because it's hard to do the math for the entire product and serving size varies by product so you can't even compare them.
Nutella has a shitload of processed sugar and palm oil, both toxic and unhealthy. About 50% of that stuff is sugar. So it's not healthy at all. You can make your own home version with 100% organic hazelnut butter, cocoa powder, 100% coconut oil and honey.
Organic junk food is still junk food.
What if i use premium organic non-gmo homemade palm oil? Would it be healthier?
Ty lol nice one
Those "100% organic" bullshits always cost a fortune. And I don't even believe its legit as it says so no thaks.
i’m here for a good time, not a long time
