I agree that people should be more skeptical, and should read labels. However, I don't think it's ethical to deliberately deceive people, or take advantage of someone's lack of knowledge. I think we should protect young children from being harmed and not allow manufacturers to falsely label products.
Do you buy a car or a new appliance everyday? Eating is literally living. Most do it 3 times a day. They want to eat something quick and healthy and go back to what they're doing. If government didn't regulate food they'd put plastic noodles in there.
Literally no one thought Nutella was healthy. Right? 😂 However, in some cases where companies do market their food as being good for you or a healthy alternative when in fact its not, i think that's very unfair to customers who are more mindful of what they put in their bodies.
People are so delusional for thinking processed foods are good for you. Any health conscious person should be cooking their food from scratch and stop looking for shortcuts
@Saleucami uh ya? Engi Here nope, home cooked food is cheaper, healthier, and more nutritious, but people nowadays are to lazy to cook. So they keep whining about everything
It is amazing how so many people need a nutritionist to tell them that only fruit is fruit. And that candy is candy. The marketing is just the marketing, companies have to compete to gain your business but all you meed to know is usually in the nutritional facts.
Hey, remove Home Ec as a required class to make more time for sports + Exam prep, cut food budgets for schools so they serve branded food (sold as reduced sugar versions for the school market at a price to get the brands into the kids minds/lives) and overwork parents so they don't have the time or energy to scratch cook, and this is what you end up with 🤷♀️

@@matamorosa This product is available in almost every grocery store in this country. I have read the label. SUGAR, PALM OIL, HAZELNUTS, SKIM MILK, COCOA, SOY LECITHIN AS EMULSIFIER, VANILLIN: AN ARTIFICIAL FLAVOR. These are the ingredients. Sugar is the first ingredient. That means that it has more sugar than anything else. Vanillin is the last ingredient, so it has the less of that than anything else. It is full of sugar, so it is very sweet. Reading a food label will lead to a valid conclusion . Just read the label. Foods that are salty have salt listed as one of the main ingredients. Sweet foods like this have sugar as one of the first ingredients. Most people have tasted this. I have tasted it. Someone else bought it. It is too sweet. It is unhealthy junk, so I do not buy it/ There is nothing complicated about reading a label.
Nutella has a shitload of processed sugar and palm oil, both toxic and unhealthy. About 50% of that stuff is sugar. So it's not healthy at all. You can make your own home version with 100% organic hazelnut butter, cocoa powder, 100% coconut oil and honey.
Here’s some Advice on a Healthy Diet; 1. CHECK THE INGREDIENTS! (Something you though was a Healthier Choice might not be, it’s based on the Companies Marketing Strategy) 2. (Most Grocery Stores place Non-Whole Foods in the Middle) 4. Visit a Local Farmers Market. (This can help you Buy Whole Foods while supporting Local Farmers) 5. Don’t Take Everything from Me. I mean if you spread a little Nutella on your toast in the morning and everything else is balanced and healthy then you shouldn’t be worried. It would be nice if they had a dark chocolate version, which would most likely have less sugar, and still be tasty
Justin's and Artisana both make chocolate hazelnut butters with less sugar than Nutella. It's still a sweet treat, but with half the amount of sugar or less.

Nutella is NOT a chocolate. Chocolate is NOT sugar and palm oil with added hazelnut. Real chocolate contains between 10 and 15 percents hazelnuts (if it is made with it), between 15 and 20 percents milk and between 20 and 30 percents cocoa
Milan Nesic "between 20-30% cacao" seriously? are you one of those people that eat hershey milk chocolate. Regular chocolate has 50% cacao. Dark chocolate has between 60-70% and really dark chocolate goes even higher. baking chocolate is 100%.
white choclate consists of 0% cocoa. nutella uses cocoa. while i probably would agree that calling white chocolate chocolate is too much it really seems not right to me declaring that only >70% cocoa can be called 'real chocolate'. milk chocolate is chocolate too.
Sugar *is* addicting. Food Companies literally engineer "Foods" to be addicting so you're like paying for cocaine. That cheap box of Brownie Mix? Cocaine. No exaggeration. Also, the more sugar you eat the worse the healthy food tastes. Water shouldn't taste bad but then it does. If it does, try putting Lemon Juice (no sugar) or Apple Cider Vinegar in it.
So true! I KNOW from my sound taste buds that, for instance, Milka most likely greatly increased the sugar and decreased milk and coco powder in their chocolate bars, while at the same time decreasing the ammount of the chocolate bars in total: 300 grams became 280 or 270 g and those 100 became 70g. Also - using corn syrup instead of plain sugar doubled the entire sugar intake we consume in this time and age, and that sweatness is everywhere: from ketchup, that requires some salt and sugar because of the nature of the tomatoe, still it needs to be regulated and downsized, as it does not even taste that good anymore, since the manufactures have just OVERDONE it! Leave the sugar OUT, and you will SAVE MONEY, owners of large factories! ...and you will make ENTIRE planet healthier!!!!
Before I watch this video, I know how to manage foods from the groceries store. Here are 3 main things, 1) fruits and vegetables, 2) carefully check nutrition facts and 3) always avoid junk food (avoid corn starch, corn syrup and sugar). That’s how I lost weight for healthy diets, and which I lost 80 pounds for 8 months by running. Also, I used an app for food finder for more details of ingredients and calories intake called Fooducate. I will watch this video, so I will tell you my reactions about this. Remember, no bad fats
Seriously, if you don't know what 11 gram of sugar is maybe you should figure it out before giving it to your child. I figure everything in moderation. Sure you can have it once in awhile as a treat but realistically even drinking orange juice which is labeled as 'healthy' is drinks tons of sugar in it. It is your responsibility to do the check but people are so lazy and most don't even know what they weight of measurements mean.

the thing about the fruit bar is that it's pretty healthy, unlike what these "experts" are saying. this bar uses fruits and fruit pectin, and thats it. Pretty healthy, fruit as we know is healthy and fruit pectin comes out of a fruit as well. Contrary to what these "experts" are saying you CANNOT compare fruit pectin with sucrose.
They strip the natural fiber out, which is what slows the glycemic load of real whole fruits… so no. Fruit bars are not the same or even comparable to fruit, even if made with fruit sugar only, health wise
I kind of is though. They shouldn't mislead people. They use a boring label for their nutrition facts. They could make it bigger, more eye catching and also show the daily recommended amount of sugar for a healthy adult, so people can easily make a comparison to the amount of sugar they're actually eating, etc... I mean... people think playing football is healthy because they promote themselves as an activity that builds confidence, social skills, and physical health... but it just leads to concussions, etc... You can't really blame the people because these business people rely on people's ignorance to manipulate them
It is not, but it can be hard to understand from a health standpoint what you need vs what you are getting... We wouldnt like hospitals scamming people into getting expensive or dangerous surgeries they didnt need, but your diet and food sources heavily impact how healthy you are.
this is why i make all my foods from scratch. Peanut butter is easy to make just get peanuts roast them and then add some honey and some oil. It tastes better then what is in the supermarket peanut butter and I know what is in it. If i want it to last a little longer i can add orange or lemon juice

Lots of people in the comments here would rather chastise the overworked and underpaid consumers than call out the manufacturers for their predatory practices.
They want to look superior. Like they're way too smart and attentive to ever be fooled by marketing. All of them pretending they don't walk out of the grocery store with a single item they haven't read all the small print on, top to bottom. Yeeuh huh.
Nobody is forcing people to eat these items. Everyone who shops at a store should be able to read. Nutella is full of chocolate and sugar. People have to use common sense. Is a chocolate candy bar healthy?
@@amouramarie But people are not saying they read the entire jar and all the different labels. But are saying you cannot ignore it and then sit and get upset when you find out how unhealthy it is. I do not read the entire label on things before I walk out of the store only for some items especially ones that seem off like those fruit cup parfaits that are not in the refrigerated section or pudding cups with real dairy, but I am not going to complain and sue a company when I chose not to read the label and assume everything is fine and dandy. We are all fooled in some way, but I do not just take things at face value. Like with those bottles Lipton teas the first ingredient is water. The second one being high fructose corn syrup yet call themselves lipton tea.
What most of people dont know is that the food company main aims is to make money. It is not to make healthy food for consumers. I have a friend that is a nutritionist and she used to work at a food company but she quits shortly after working for a few months. She said that she was frustrated that the company doesnt really care about how many nutrient is in their food. Its all about money. How to make products as cheap as possible and at the same time meet the minimum requirements required by the law to do so. So hiring a nutritionist is basically a disguise to make the company seems health-conscious when obviously they are complete opposite.
there is 2 and a half hazelnut in a serving worth a Nutella, dam I thought there was like 10 nuts in the whole Jar. Guess I need to start eating more Nutella.
@Chill Boi I always saw it as chocolate spread, it is chocolate color, chocolate taste, chocolate consistency, If i wanted nuts I would eat nuts or the near pure peanut spreads that exist. And if it is sugar that you want to avoid, then that part is super easy to check on label. Checking for additives or lack of vitamins etc, is where it gets hard and makes you prone to being tricked even with 30 seconds of research and a bit of logic.
i make my own soup and have for years, i tend to make mushroom soup with sweet peppers, i add no salt. my ingredients are a selection of as many mushrooms as the store has red and orange sweet peppers and onion then if being eaten straight away i add boiled ready to eat after coking rice. the rice help the soup to thicken, if not being eaten right away i omit the rice. lightly fry the peppers once cut into small pieces along with the mushrooms and the onion x2 in olive oil. whilst this is cooking i get my blender out ready once the rice is ready along with the onion peppers and mushroom are cooked place in a bowl and blend until there are no lumps of the ingredients remaining but it will become a slight brown in colour. then add the rice if eating right away, and blend again s the rice has been liquidized add half pint of milk and continue to blend as you add the milk, then add single cream i pot and return to a sauce pan no water. then simmer until everyone is ready to eat. if intention was to serve later you can freeze it if no rice was added.
if you eat bread and expect to get your "daily vegetable intake" you should no longer ever trust your own nutritional judgment

Do you buy a car or a new appliance everyday? Eating is literally living. Most do it 3 times a day. They want to eat something quick and healthy and go back to what they're doing. If government didn't regulate food they'd put plastic noodles in there.
Shifting responsibility on victim doesn't solve sh-t.

I like how the Nutrition expert defined the ingredients with Nutella. It makes it so much more eye opening.
It is amazing how so many people need a nutritionist to tell them that only fruit is fruit. And that candy is candy. The marketing is just the marketing, companies have to compete to gain your business but all you meed to know is usually in the nutritional facts.

It is full of sugar, so it is very sweet. Reading a food label will lead to a valid conclusion . Just read the label. Foods that are salty have salt listed as one of the main ingredients. 1. CHECK THE INGREDIENTS! (Something you though was a Healthier Choice might not be, it’s based on the Companies Marketing Strategy)
2. Shopping in the Grocery Store Outskirts. (Most Grocery Stores place Whole Foods in the Outskirts)
3. Shopping in the Grocery Store Middle Sections. (Most Grocery Stores place Non-Whole Foods in the Middle)

Absoultely. Shame on Milka, their products have become inedible.
Simple solution, blend your orange and drink it or eat it without blend.

Yes however they also shouldn't be allowed to mislead people.
I kind of is though. They shouldn't mislead people. They use a boring label for their nutrition facts.
