Tbh, it will sell because its in the same kind of class as COD. People will complain that the games are getting worse and worse, but they will still buy them. For shadows, the graphics themselves look amazing, but they used to have a reputation for hostirical accuracy.

Sir you said that you don't care about skin color but then you said attractiveness matters. I have bad news for you, black characters are almost universally perceived as less attractive than white ones. Notable exceptions being tan characters but those have asian/Caucasian appearance just darker skin. The only black characters I can think of is Vivienne from dragon age series who isn't a standard of video game beauty.
Thus if you as a gamer prioritize pretty characters you won't be buying any games with leading black ppl anytime soon

Ubisoft's mistake was making Yasuke playable. There's been many historical figures that interacted with AC protagonists in the past, but playing as an historical figure destroys the believability of the plot.
besides, this was always the formula: you play as a fictional character who interacts with historical figures. Now, the representation of these historical figures is not always accurate (just look at Marx in AC syndicate), but it is still acceptable. If they made Yasuke an ally, people wouldn't mind, even if they made him a samurai (which he never was - as he was in Japan for just over a year, making it hardly possible for him to even speak Japanese fluently much less become a noble)

Ubisoft's representation of Japan is beyond abysmal. In the trailer and early game footage alone you can see the following.
Cherry Blossoms, Sakura, blooming which happens in April.
Someone eating Persimmons which commonly bear fruit in November.
The Suzuki plants, also known as Japanese Anemones, tend to look like that in October.
Don't forget they used *Chinese* architecture at some points. Because I guess to them all Asian things look the same. Needless to say, Japanese fans were less than amused by that.
I really think this is a bs point of view. Since when is accuracy a priority in an AC game. Or since when it is important that they pick rice when the cerry blosoms are up. This is really nonsense that have no impact if the game is good or not. Really this is bullshit complains. Ghosts of Tsusima had all seasons on the map at the same time. Literraly it was winter in one place and summer in the other, did it matter? No, because the game was good.
AC Shadows has other problems, big problems, but complaining about real historical representation in what realy is a scrience fiction story is ridiculous.

It could well be in the game like other misplaced or offender materials like shoe storage racks for removing shoes upon entry into a home, which exists as a cultural practice but is more of a modern one. I can't imagine Yasuke walking into a smaller home only to utter, "Sorry milord, just need to remove shoes at your doorstep and place them in a convenient rack by your abode's inner entrance!"

The whole concept of a silent majority has never made sense to me. A majority doesn’t need to be given a voice, because they are the majority of people. Their voices are heard all the time. This was the most well spoken out of many of your videos. Thank you! They weren't complaining when they needed protection. They weren't complaining when countries and societies were being built. Once they got the oppurtunity to completely remove themselves from the food chain, and live such a comfortable life, they turn around and crap on the ones that allowed them to live this way.

Honestly, AC: Shadows might actually get cancelled. Not because of the petition, but because of the potential horrendous amount of lawsuits they would open themselves up to from all the theft of art.

2. Using a main character not from the culture and region.
3. Use of Chinese building structure in Feudal Japan.
4. Ubisoft stealing a flag for the army.
5. Hip hop music playing when Yasuke fights.
6. Ubisoft working with Sweet Baby Inc AGAIN.
7. Yasuke not acting like a Samurai in battle.
8. Yasuke being treated as a God when everyone is just bowing to him.
9. Ubisoft being involved with the edits around Yasuke on Wikipedia.
10. Ubisoft using Chinese Mandarin in the Kanji in a game set in Feudal Japan.
11. The pushing of LGBT stuff into the game (which also makes no sense in the realm of the animus).
12. Ubisoft working with a writer who main "prominent" work is about monks being in relationships with young boys.
13. Ubisoft stealing the sword of Zoro from One Piece for Yasuke.
Also the double standards media has to glorify Yasuke killing a bunch of Japanese people yet these same people attacked the likes of RE5. The double standards also continue with the people praising this game, a game that doesn't pay 100% correct tribute to Japan, were the ones attacking Ghost Of Tsushima, which did try to be as accurate as possible, simply because it was made an entirely European team.
Those devs did their research. Ubisoft did not.
