As much as I agree with the sentiment, certain things regarding flame did need to be adjusted. We could talk all day about whether incin breaker needed 2 mags removed but that point has been done to death. The way I see it, weapons have specific uses, if something checks 1 box, lets say between chaff, heavies, or zoning, it needs to be strong in that area. The spear is a great example of a weapon that checks one box and is fantastic at it. The flamethrower checked all three boxes prior to the patch, it dealt with everything very effectively. So they cut down it's ability to deal with heavies. While I agree guns should feel fun to play with, ultimately theres always going to be something someone doesnt find "fun". Our primary weapons are not meant to be relied on alone. They're trustworthy armaments that you always have with you for different circumstances. But your strats are where the power is. Our divers arent powerful, they're regular people that just so happen to have the ability to call on orbital destroyers for help when they need it. Do I think nerfing primaries is the answer? Eh, not really. Incin breaker was very strong and dealt with every type of enemy up to titan size pretty effectively. The difference now is you don't get to just spray and pray it. Theres a breaker variant for that. This concludes my essay.
This is why Asian games are making money hand over fist while western companies are slowly dying. Give the customers what they want and they will give you their money.
Sadly even they are finally starting to get infected by this stuff. It was nice while it lasted, but I think we'll see them going downhill from here on out.
Remember when they expanded the staff from 30 to 100? This was by Sony's order I imagine and you got to wonder what staff was this, what roles, what positions, what background.
If you actually play the game, our entire arsenal is more powerful that it has ever been by far. It's not even close. There have been a handful of nerfs that corrected buggy weapons shooting killing tanks in 1-2 seconds. The game is just getting boring and repetitive, because that's what happens with coop games. People pretending like everything is getting nerfed are absolute morons.
Thats what I call ‘The Bethesda Response’. Every time something came out about f76, that was their response. You saw the same thing with Blizzard, but more so from EA too

@@xx-qv9tp didn't Bethesda push back the star field DLC so they could add stuff to the game that players asked for? i'm more of a fromsoft fanboy, not a Bethesda stan, but was pretty surprised by that, since free updates don't typically net a ton of cash. of course the bigger a company is, the louder the the most-entitled segment of the community gets. sometimes i like to read the 1 star reviews on really big releases just for a laugh. the reasons people give for panning games are hilarious. the ones where people complain that the whole game is bad because they don't wanna to goon to the characters always get me. like, no shade on objectophiliacs, people like what they like, but you couldn't pay me to say that out loud lol

(if you haven't seen the game, she basically looks like a combat edition of a 90's supermodel. i had aloy flashbacks in the way people reacted to her). now, i mean no shade on objectophiliacs, we all like what we like, but the lack of humongoid bahongalongas it's a pretty wild reason to 1 star a game you haven't played yet. albeit not as wild as panning a game because you don't like the skin color or sexuality or identity of a character. it's all extremely trivial, but these boys took it so seriously. and not one of them saw an issue with any of this, despite how blatantly entitled and self-absorbed these takes are, and how utterly they disregard the social contract. the primary underlying argument seemed to be that the game was bad because it wasn't specifically catering to them and their desires and their beliefs. and as a implacable gamer and as someone who isn't on anyone's illusory ideological teams, it has very strong karen energy. "for me but not for thee" as they say. but i'm not one for snap judgements, and i'm fascinated by what people believe and why, so i'm making the rounds, doing my due diligence insofar as exposing myself to the content and the communities. just employing the basics of honest engagement, you know? asking questions and presenting ideas for to get a better picture of the underlying reasoning and feelings driving what, on the surface, appress to be simple entitlement. i'm hoping there's something valid and well reasoned here, but if i'm honest i haven't been able to find it yet. mostly i've been insulted for asking honest questions or desiring honest answers, and...i've also encountered a weirdly large amount of logical fallacies. like a LOT. @@micahfoley9572 I was actually talking about the runesscape section of the video at the 10.15 mark. The idea of reporting people that don’t use your pronouns, and having them banned for it. Such a system would be abused almost instantly, and the end result will always be exclusion rather than diversity because it literally limits the voices in the conversation. Forcing people to address you with the words you choose is compelled speech, and has never worked out well

@@bohemianearspoon8493 We don't use any of those on my 3 man team. Our primary are usually 2 tenderizers and a blitzer for bots or flamethrower prime fire pump and a pummel smg for bugs. We bring 1 spear, 1 HMG and 1 laser cannon for bugs or bots usually as our support. Side arms are whatever or just grenade pistol. We bring 2 stun grenades 1 impact. Bugs we bring fast strats like cluster bomb & precision strike or orbital airburst. One person has the 500 KG but we typically have 2 rocket turrets that deal with heavies while we fight the small guys off. Bots we like airstrike, smoke and precision strike along with rocket turret maybe orbital rail. Not the perfect build but we win 90% of our lvl 10 missions. Sometimes you get hit with a full battalion of heavies and not much you can do but run away.
Remember kids: When they ask you if you are against inclusivity, ask them how they define inclusivity. These people define words differently, and most people are against what they actually mean by those words. They enjoy not having to define them and getting you to tacitly agree something completely different than what you think you are.
it means that everyone who spends money on games gets a little piece of the pie. everyone gets pronouns and stories and content that feels relevant to them, and no one gets to have it all to themselves. ie: if your pronouns are in the character creator, complaining that someone else gets the same thing is just entitlement. some major karen vibes imo
They way they're handling the game sucks and hopefully we see an improvement in the next 2 months like they promised. The issue with this dude is every time he talks about how AH/HD2 handled the woke or not woke is disingenuous and blatantly false. That's surely what you believe about their motivations, but that doesn't make it true. What id say is that it's important to remember that businesses aren't people, so they don't have ethics the way you and I would. If they do something, it's because they think it'll benefit the company. The see a way to expand the market while angering fewer people than they'd please. I personally like the added options because it means more people can see themselves in the game, and that's what great about videogames. No matter who you are or what you like there's a game that's gonna be special and relevant to you and your experience. They're available to everyone, without exception. From kids to old people, rich people and poor people, boys and girls and everyone in between. Gatekeeping the experience so it only appeals to certain demographics feels like a step backwards to the days when girls and adults would get bullied for liking them. Know what I mean? And plus, the whole reason mainline games have been eternally 60 dollars is cuz the market keeps expanding to new demographics. More people playing benefits us all in tons of ways. It's it really worth giving up those benefits just to exclude other gamers?

I'm actually worried that games I already own will be edited. Will I go to boot up the Mass Effect Legendary Collection and the character creator and outfits are completely changed one day, nobody really knows. Unless it's a patch that implements quality control it shouldn't be legal, you're basically changing a product that someone already paid for. It's like purchasing a DVD but the next time you go to watch it the entire movie is rewritten with a completely different film. It doesn't matter if it's only a very small change or not, it's not what I paid for.
Now is the time for based game devs to fill the void. Players just want good content without being preached to and demonized for having differing opinions, not to mention predatory business models.
Because it is their playbook to take over a game and then tell you to make your own. Its all about capturing anything that has cultural value so the only option is to accept what they want. It is cultural degradation 101.

The problem is Arrowhead keeps saying they're listening and that they have taken community feedback, but proceed to do f all about it, or straight antagonize the players by doing the exact opposite of what the community is asking for. So every time they say "we hear you, thank you for giving us feedback" now, I don't believe them. There are only so many times the boy can cry wolf before people decide that the wolf can eat the boy this time. I had almost 700 hours of playtime on Helldivers 2 before I vowed to stop playing. If you've played or are still playing the game, you know 600 hours of playtime means I've put up with a ton of Arrowhead's bullshit decisions to get to that playtime. But now, I'm all out of patience. In fact, I now want the game and Arrowhead to cease living, to warn other companies that following Arrowhead's decisions will cripple them, too.
Had 350 when the Sony connect issue showed up and I just quit cold turkey. Demanded a refund all weekend but got nada and eventually steam stopped responding to me. I won’t be buying anything from sony, steam, or arrowhead ever again. Torrent for me from now on.

Though I'm sure there are many other examples throughout history across the world as you said many "cultures all around the world have done this". However I chose the USA in particular for a reason; the original comment I replied to from "@calebvandenburg1400" was "The only answer to "make your own game" should be "we did, and then you complained, took it over and forced us out."" His comment may have only explicitly been speaking to the dissatisfaction present in, what could be called the "sub-society" that is the Helldivers 2 fandom implicit within the comment is captured a very real, present and interesting phenomena; that when considered objectively, rationally and without the lens of any ideology makes a very interesting piece of a larger puzzle. Though I am not nor have I ever been a player of the game myself, from what I have gathered "Helldivers 2" as it was originally sold to people was as a community focused, apolitical, or perhaps anti-political, teamwork driven game that was geared towards working towards the common goal of defending humanity itself from evil inhuman enemies. It did not profess any real true ideology of its own but it did cultivate a strong sense of common community within the fandoms zeitgeist almost akin to that of the ancient Roman Republics. Considering all that has happened since those early days, the creep of ideologies into the super-structures of said fandom, the cessation of service of the game to many players with the whole PSN debacle and everything else. The feelings of disenfranchisement that many feel is quite understandable. This whole process bears a great deal of similarity to the history of the USA. Where the USA started as an attempt by White European peoples, whether as small groups of people fleeing from Empires and Kingdoms or those Empires themselves it was initially a project of White European peoples. Eventually those people managed to free themselves form the control of their parent states and forge something new out of that for themselves. Yet a, comparatively, short time later the USA has changed irrevocably in an incredible number of manners; culture, creed, society, ethnic makeup, government, politics, the list goes on. The microcosm mirrors the macrocosm as the distillation of cause and effect are the same.
@@roberto8442 The war vet mini-boss early in the game goes on a rant about Communism during his cutscene before and after the boss fight. Essentially having a PTSD moment and showing visual and audible disgust toward Communism. Which was both hilarious due to how over the top it was, but also depressing because you were witnessing a man losing their shit in a real moment of PTSD induced delusions and paranoia that overwhelmed him to such a point that everything looked like the enemy to him. They removed that. Why? Who knows. But, I do know that Capcom are trying to cater to the wrong audience, lmao.
Well, the Grand Exchange was polled like three times over two years when the polling system first came out, the first two times it failed. I've always been skeptical about the voting system in OSRS, and that showed me that it has always been a "manufacturing consent" ploy, even in its early days. Nexus mods gave me a temporary ban when I reported a mod for like Morrowind or something that put a trans flag replacer in, kind of just did it as a joke, and I got a DM from a moderator for the website and they were like ridiculing me and telling me that I was the scum of the earth 😂

When you think about it you will begin to realise both the far-left AND the far right treat the rest of the political spectrum exactly the same just for different reasons. They both think that they are always right and any who does not agree with them should be vilified with extreme prejudice. And when the two tribes of far left and far right go to war it’s us normal reasonable people who suffer. Some things will never change. Our only hope is greed, at some point the need to make profit will win out. Businesses can’t lose money indefinitely. To think that Greed is our best hope is not ideal but I think it is the only motivation that can work over time.

I really hate the 'modern audience' saying that these companies keep pushing for. This is why I love physical media. Nobody can mess with or override the contents. They'd have to kick in your front door and pry the disk out of your hands to take it away. Don't like the effects of patching the game? Don't install the patches and stick to the way the game was when it was released. Digital stores can always sell the "normal" copy of the game to generate sales during the first weeks. Once they've gotten your money, the woke dev can then issue an update that wokifies/censors the game and replace the "normal" download with the woke one. Anyone who updates loses access to the "normal" game. Anyone who beat the game and/or uninstalled it are stuck with the wokified digital download if they revisit the game. The only people left with the non-woke game they paid for would be those who didn't update their installation of the game. Naturally, live service games fall into the latter category due to their very nature. You either update to the most current version of the game, or you can't login and play.
DRM Free digitals also actually have this benefit too. You can burn the install files to disc too if you want a physical copy too. Not to discount the value of physical media as number 1 just not all games make it there.
You explained it perfectly, they don't actually care about what they work on or if it succeeds or fails just so long as it has their agenda in it so they can brag about it. Yet they don't realise that bragging about a failed product isn't actually the win they think it is. It will get worse before it gets better. once companies suffer some big losses they will all turn on this idea.

The problem with Helldrivers 2 is that most of us who played it clowned on "Managed Democracy" because our American Democracy is currently an authoritarian joke. They support team they left in charge is of the other camp and they can't stand us, hence we left.

I'm not buying DA: Veilguard. It hurts because I absolutely love Dragon Age, but based on what I've seen and read over the last couple of years, it's not Dragon Age anymore. BioWare and the director were more interested in making their mobile game fanfiction instead of creating a proper dark fantasy RPG brimming with the life and lore the series started with.

I remember when runescape, a dev team which asked the community whenver they added a new event, unilateral decided to host a pride event. In response to this, a bunch of players put on "ghost" outfits and were blocking the event. T'was hilarious, shame about the banning spree that happened tho
When Dead Rising was released for X360, the game was a huge deal because it showed how powerful the system is. With the ability to have tens of characters on the screen at the same time. I will play the version which is applauded for that achievment over the soulless demaster anyday.

I really want Helldivers to be available in all regions again, since after the sony situation I am no longer able to buy the game. And I believe with more players with different backgrounds and different values we can definitely stop the woke autism more effectively.

If you were building a next generation truck and the interested buyers or previous owners of your trucks told you they explicitly wanted 4WD, LED headlights, options for a light bar, options for a powered and non powered side step, underbody armor solutions, and tie down points in the bed for large items, and the manufacturer listens to it all and then released the truck with some of those options with more to come, but when you bring it in for service they start removing the features you asked for and paid for and just say, it wasn’t intended to have those or work that way. It’s time to sell the truck. Screw them. They’re tone deaf.

People have really forgotten these days that there are ways to get along. Games like Runescape and Helldivers 2 here think they can appease just 1 group of people. While still making the income they usually do. Which simply isn't the case. We need to find a way where people can just be themselves without bothering others. I can be the straight, 28-year old male I am. While the 18 year old femboy or whomever else can be theirs elves. People don't want to accept other peoples' opinions and they don't want to cater to them. This sort of attitude is toxic and it's going to kill them sooner or later.
I know we've asked this, but why does a pve game need nerfs? If a weapon doesnt worl the way they intended or is literally a shoulder fired nuke, they yeah, nerf it. But no one was complaining about the flamethrower, why nerf it?
@@Ver.3gA-06 It's possible that you just have familiarity with the weapons your are accustomed to operating, and any combat veteran, including this one, would feel much the same IRL. You don't take some untested piece of shit into battle. You take the weapon you know so well that operating it is second nature. Often, your movement and tactics will change to accommodate the weapon. But gamers contain a whole breed of people that just master every single thing they are given, based on their intuitive knowledge of gameplay mechanics. The day something new comes out, a bunch of them will figure out how to exploit it within hours. The most 1337 of them, to use the old parlance, immediately figure out every binary bit down to the finest percentages, which Yours Truly cannot do. I prefer the weapons I know how to operate, and you may be in the same boat. If not, you may just be that far ahead of the rest of us in terms of skill.

I haven't confirmed it personally, but apparently Terraria has also removed the gender selection from it's character creator, so now you have to pick a body type... which is funny, not just because the game has a gender switching potion, but also because the difference between male and female variants of the same assets is literally 10 pixels.

I have to step in and say there is nothing wrong with a third option or choosing your character's romantic path if you want to walk it all, but the keyword here is "option". In other words, people can still choose the traditional stuff and the non-traditional stuff. And mods for punishing people for misgendering online is ridiculous. World of Warcraft removed "Male" and "Female" from the character creator in Shadowlands pre-patch and replaced them with "Body Type 1" and "Body Type 2". No pronouns... *yet.* My ElvUI addon still shows "Male" and "Female" though on character tooltips, so at least not everyone is crazy.
Cancelled my osrs subscription in protest. It breaks my fucken heart to see a game that I've played on and off since 2006 turn to such evil. I will miss it, but I must stand by my values to hope to see change.
As an OG Ultima Online player, I have always hated Runescape since it was first 'created'/stolen from Ultima Online. Garbage looked like it was made in MS-Paint, but was almost exactly the same game but just worse in every way. Let it burn.

As much as I agree with the sentiment, certain things regarding flame did need to be adjusted. We could talk all day about whether incin breaker needed 2 mags removed but that point has been done to death. The way I see it, weapons have specific uses, if something checks 1 box, lets say between chaff, heavies, or zoning, it needs to be strong in that area. The spear is a great example of a weapon that checks one box and is fantastic at it. The flamethrower checked all three boxes prior to the patch, it dealt with everything very effectively. So they cut down it's ability to deal with heavies. While I agree guns should feel fun to play with, ultimately theres always going to be something someone doesnt find "fun". Our primary weapons are not meant to be relied on alone. They're trustworthy armaments that you always have with you for different circumstances. But your strats are where the power is. Our divers arent powerful, they're regular people that just so happen to have the ability to call on orbital destroyers for help when they need it. Do I think nerfing primaries is the answer? Eh, not really. Incin breaker was very strong and dealt with every type of enemy up to titan size pretty effectively. The difference now is you don't get to just spray and pray it. Theres a breaker variant for that. This concludes my essay.

I uninstalled HD2 as soon as I heard about the Discord mods going on a power trip banning ppl for DISLIKING a furry art.
If you actually play the game, our entire arsenal is more powerful that it has ever been by far. It's not even close. There have been a handful of nerfs that corrected buggy weapons shooting killing tanks in 1-2 seconds.
The game is just getting boring and repetitive, because that's what happens with coop games.

i was just now thinking of the review section in the xbox store for a game called flintlock. pretty cool game, from the makers of ashen. good combat. it's a soulslike, but with all the trappings of a more conventional rpg. i quite liked it.
but within an hour of release, there were dozens of 1 star reviews from people who couldn't possibly have played the game for any meaningful amount of time, claiming that no one would ever want a black girl as a main character except as a political statement. really overt racism and entitlement, in other words. it was accompanied by trump 2024 spam and people complaining that the whole game was bad because they didn't wanna goon to the aforementioned black girl. the sentiment that if they wanted her to look like a man, they should have just made her one instead of going her small breasts was pretty common too. (if you haven't seen the game, she basically looks like a combat edition of a 90's supermodel. i had aloy flashbacks in the way people reacted to her).
now, i mean no shade on objectophiliacs, we all like what we like, but the lack of humongoid bahongalongas it's a pretty wild reason to 1 star a game you haven't played yet. albeit not as wild as panning a game because you don't like the skin color or sexuality or identity of a character. it's all extremely trivial, but these boys took it so seriously.
and not one of them saw an issue with any of this, despite how blatantly entitled and self-absorbed these takes are, and how utterly they disregard the social contract. the primary underlying argument seemed to be that the game was bad because it wasn't specifically catering to them and their desires and their beliefs. and as a implacable gamer and as someone who isn't on anyone's illusory ideological teams, it has very strong karen energy. "for me but not for thee" as they say.
but i'm not one for snap judgements, and i'm fascinated by what people believe and why, so i'm making the rounds, doing my due diligence insofar as exposing myself to the content and the communities. just employing the basics of honest engagement, you know? asking questions and presenting ideas for to get a better picture of the underlying reasoning and feelings driving what, on the surface, appress to be simple entitlement.

Such a system would be abused almost instantly, and the end result will always be exclusion rather than diversity because it literally limits the voices in the conversation.

@@bohemianearspoon8493 We don't use any of those on my 3 man team. Our primary are usually 2 tenderizers and a blitzer for bots or flamethrower prime fire pump and a pummel smg for bugs. We bring 1 spear, 1 HMG and 1 laser cannon for bugs or bots usually as our support. Side arms are whatever or just grenade pistol. We bring 2 stun grenades 1 impact. Bugs we bring fast strats like cluster bomb & precision strike or orbital airburst. One person has the 500 KG but we typically have 2 rocket turrets that deal with heavies while we fight the small guys off. Bots we like airstrike, smoke and precision strike along with rocket turret maybe orbital rail. Not the perfect build but we win 90% of our lvl 10 missions. Sometimes you get hit with a full battalion of heavies and not much you can do but run away.
Remember kids: When they ask you if you are against inclusivity, ask them how they define inclusivity. These people define words differently, and most people are against what they actually mean by those words. They enjoy not having to define them and getting you to tacitly agree something completely different than what you think you are.

That's surely what you believe about their motivations, but that doesn't make it true. For example, if someone was to say you only believe these things because you hate anyone who doesn't remind you of yourself. That wouldn't be fair, right? Because you didn't express that yourself. It would just be them imposing a motivation on you. It sucks when people do that to you, right? So it makes sense to not do it to other people, yeah?
For 2, can you tell me more specifically how they're being downgraded? It seemed to me like nothing is being removed, and rather Stuff is being added to account for members of the audience who'd like those options. You can just not use them, right? In your eyes, where's the downgrade?
And 4, that's another logical fallacy, called survivor's bias, or cognitive bias, depending on how you're approaching it. Basically, you're naming games that reinforce your preferred belief, but ignoring all the other games are successful in that same category. and it also seems like ignoring other reasons why those games might not be popular? Cuz most folks don't care about features that aren't targeted at them. If a game is fun, they play it. If it's not fun they don't. Cuz they're gamers. It's a small number of people making a loud noise, and the same is true for people who would 1 star a game cuz there's a random extra word in the character creator. To most people it's just trivial to the point that might not even notice it.
What id say is that it's important to remember that businesses aren't people, so they don't have ethics the way you and I would. If they do something, it's because they think it'll benefit the company. The see a way to expand the market while angering fewer people than they'd please.
So to me, all this stuff just looks like normal-*ss capitalism. I personally like the added options because it means more people can see themselves in the game, and that's what great about videogames. No matter who you are or what you like there's a game that's gonna be special and relevant to you and your experience. They're available to everyone, without exception. From kids to old people, rich people and poor people, boys and girls and everyone in between. Gatekeeping the experience so it only appeals to certain demographics feels like a step backwards to the days when girls and adults would get bullied for liking them. Know what I mean?
And plus, the whole reason mainline games have been eternally 60 dollars is cuz the market keeps expanding to new demographics. More people playing benefits us all in tons of ways. It's it really worth giving up those benefits just to exclude other gamers?

I'm actually worried that games I already own will be edited. Will I go to boot up the Mass Effect Legendary Collection and the character creator and outfits are completely changed one day, nobody really knows. Unless it's a patch that implements quality control it shouldn't be legal, you're basically changing a product that someone already paid for. It's like purchasing a DVD but the next time you go to watch it the entire movie is rewritten with a completely different film. It doesn't matter if it's only a very small change or not, it's not what I paid for.

The problem is Arrowhead keeps saying they're listening and that they have taken community feedback, but proceed to do f all about it, or straight antagonize the players by doing the exact opposite of what the community is asking for. So every time they say "we hear you, thank you for giving us feedback" now, I don't believe them. There are only so many times the boy can cry wolf before people decide that the wolf can eat the boy this time.
I had almost 700 hours of playtime on Helldivers 2 before I vowed to stop playing. If you've played or are still playing the game, you know 600 hours of playtime means I've put up with a ton of Arrowhead's bullshit decisions to get to that playtime. But now, I'm all out of patience. In fact, I now want the game and Arrowhead to cease living, to warn other companies that following Arrowhead's decisions will cripple them, too.

It did not profess any real true ideology of its own but it did cultivate a strong sense of common community within the fandoms zeitgeist almost akin to that of the ancient Roman Republics. Considering all that has happened since those early days, the creep of ideologies into the super-structures of said fandom, the cessation of service of the game to many players with the whole PSN debacle and everything else. The feelings of disenfranchisement that many feel is quite understandable.
This whole process bears a great deal of similarity to the history of the USA. Where the USA started as an attempt by White European peoples, whether as small groups of people fleeing from Empires and Kingdoms or those Empires themselves it was initially a project of White European peoples. Eventually those people managed to free themselves form the control of their parent states and forge something new out of that for themselves. Yet a, comparatively, short time later the USA has changed irrevocably in an incredible number of manners; culture, creed, society, ethnic makeup, government, politics, the list goes on. The microcosm mirrors the macrocosm as the distillation of cause and effect are the same.

This is why I love physical media. Nobody can mess with or override the contents. They'd have to kick in your front door and pry the disk out of your hands to take it away. Don't like the effects of patching the game? Don't install the patches and stick to the way the game was when it was released.
Digital stores can always sell the "normal" copy of the game to generate sales during the first weeks. Once they've gotten your money, the woke dev can then issue an update that wokifies/censors the game and replace the "normal" download with the woke one. Anyone who updates loses access to the "normal" game. Anyone who beat the game and/or uninstalled it are stuck with the wokified digital download if they revisit the game. The only people left with the non-woke game they paid for would be those who didn't update their installation of the game.
Naturally, live service games fall into the latter category due to their very nature. You either update to the most current version of the game, or you can't login and play.
I don't download updates until I know what's in them.
DRM Free digitals also actually have this benefit too. You can burn the install files to disc too if you want a physical copy too. Not to discount the value of physical media as number 1 just not all games make it there.

If you were building a next generation truck and the interested buyers or previous owners of your trucks told you they explicitly wanted 4WD, LED headlights, options for a light bar, options for a powered and non powered side step, underbody armor solutions, and tie down points in the bed for large items, and the manufacturer listens to it all and then released the truck with some of those options with more to come, but when you bring it in for service they start removing the features you asked for and paid for and just say, it wasn’t intended to have those or work that way. It’s time to sell the truck. Screw them. They’re tone deaf.
Really you should be filing lawsuits and fraud charges at that point.

You don't take some untested piece of shit into battle. You take the weapon you know so well that operating it is second nature. Often, your movement and tactics will change to accommodate the weapon.
But gamers contain a whole breed of people that just master every single thing they are given, based on their intuitive knowledge of gameplay mechanics. The day something new comes out, a bunch of them will figure out how to exploit it within hours. The most 1337 of them, to use the old parlance, immediately figure out every binary bit down to the finest percentages, which Yours Truly cannot do.
I prefer the weapons I know how to operate, and you may be in the same boat. If not, you may just be that far ahead of the rest of us in terms of skill.

I haven't confirmed it personally, but apparently Terraria has also removed the gender selection from it's character creator, so now you have to pick a body type... which is funny, not just because the game has a gender switching potion, but also because the difference between male and female variants of the same assets is literally 10 pixels.

I think you mean something like "unprinted". Because you can definitely reprint physical media. That's what ripping and burning CDs is. And while you can't "unprint" media you can delete/erase/destroy. That's why 🏴☠""decentralized backup data libraries"" 🏴☠are good and necessary and ultimately 2A rights are so important.

I have to step in and say there is nothing wrong with a third option or choosing your character's romantic path if you want to walk it all, but the keyword here is "option". In other words, people can still choose the traditional stuff and the non-traditional stuff. And mods for punishing people for misgendering online is ridiculous. What do you if a person's character isn't the same as the actual person? Which set of pronouns should a person use? That's going too far.
I had no interest in those _Helldivers_ games but hearing news about it was unavoidable. That _Helldivers_ boss is just giving a typical politician /lawyer response. He said nothing tangible, nothing specific = coward.
I wouldn’t be surprised that the decline of helldivers 2 was done intentionally from arrowhead, Sony, or another entity. They couldn’t let a game so simple and fun that doesn’t push for Marxism.

Yeah, what’s crazy is RuneScape has a democracy system were they ask the players to vote on things coming into the game they will never add something into the game unless the players voted on it, and this was something that was never voted on. They just added it without the players, knowing.

World of Warcraft removed "Male" and "Female" from the character creator in Shadowlands pre-patch and replaced them with "Body Type 1" and "Body Type 2".
No pronouns... *yet.*
My ElvUI addon still shows "Male" and "Female" though on character tooltips, so at least not everyone is crazy.
Cancelled my osrs subscription in protest. It breaks my fucken heart to see a game that I've played on and off since 2006 turn to such evil. I will miss it, but I must stand by my values to hope to see change.
As an OG Ultima Online player, I have always hated Runescape since it was first 'created'/stolen from Ultima Online. Garbage looked like it was made in MS-Paint, but was almost exactly the same game but just worse in every way. Let it burn.
