Motion Raceworks Sick Summer day four at Great Lakes Dragaway saw thousands of people turn out for our biggest day yet! Bryant Goldstone, Alex Taylor and Michael Manuel remain the leaders but its got serious tight in the chase between first and second.
Thanks again Tom for Sick Summer. I was able to complete it this year after blowing up my transmission at Union Grove last year! Awesome event and awesome people. What a great community.

Great Lakes is my home track and even in person, I can't see the display at all. Especially on a sunny day. It's really time to upgrade.

Who drove the pickup that flipped?
I think a lot of folks must forget this is a 1/4 mile event lol. See a lot of passes where they’re on a great run and pulling chutes at the 1/8 mile cone
Not that type of event you can test and tune on these type of events .
That’s cause there’s 1/8 Mile classes at this event.. that little 16 year old kid Blaine is running 1/8..

What happened with the pickup truck roll over. I could not tell.
Dude was shooting ducks for 1000 feet, probably lifted the head gasket(s), then water under the tire... Completely avoidable not doing a hero run.

Yea, there were to many people standing around to be doing donuts in the road like that.
I personally found no reason to be concerned. The guy was clearly a wheel man (and it wasn’t a Mustang), so everyone there was safe.

Nerd alert... After one mile of total racing, Alex's lead for 2nd place equals just .92 inches at an average trap speed of 210 (the slower car) heading into day 5.

I agree, it's shameful and rude the amount of hate she gets, mainly from males that won't accept that a female can be successful in a male dominated sport. If they have watched the coverage closely they would see how many times she expertly pedaled the throttle or gotten the car back in the groove smoothly.... The girl can drive!!!!

Went to 1320 there videos were spot on. Could see the times on the board and didn't have to see the same 6 drivers. Finally didn't have too listen to taylor the whole time. Tom love your videos but u need to make some changes. 2 yrs in a row of bad coverage
This hasn't been too good of a promo for SM engines. The failures and hurt engines, THEN, there's gonna be some pissed off customers considering he didn't want to race because of his workload but dropped everything to help out Cleetus. Then for Cleetus to turn around and say he's now not sure of what engine run in mullet....Ouch!

He's only racing to the 1/8th and his car is certified for 8.5 or higher in the quarter. So, if he goes faster than 8.5 his run doesn't count.
He's only running the 1/8th mile not the full 1/4.
@@timothybruzewski2915 he's technically running the quarter, but pulls the chute after the 1/8 so not to go under 8.50 in the 1/4. The last day they plan on running out to the 1/4.

That is the gospel. Frat boys tear up every engine and basically everything they touch. But when you have hoards of kids and fanboys willing to plunk down $26 for a cap you paid .50cents for you can do that. Fun to watch but can’t help wondering what some of these little guys would do given $500,000 to build themselves a hot rod.
@@pieflies, When he was destroying those Texas Speed engines everybody said get a Steve Morris engine, you’ll go faster in that heavy ElCamino. And he did! He needs to do maintenance on his stuff, not just beat the hell out of it and park it, wiring shorting out on it. They need to check it over and take of it and McFlurry too. The only vehicle to make it through the week was Sam’s truck and that’s no surprise, everyone knows he that’s care of his equipment.

Reality is that she's in a virtual tie for second place overall out of over 300 racers, no matter the sport, the leaders are going to get the majority of screentime so you might as well suck it up buttercup cause it isn't going to change no matter how much you cry about it.

20:20 aaah so they watched Cleetus video of Steve Morris doing the cardboard to catch the lifter trick early this week. Cool.
Aaaah, how to say you aren't a mechanic without actually saying it, that "trick" has been around since the early 1950's when the manufacturers went from the flatheads to the OHV engines, if you were a mechanic during the 80's you did that multiple times a month if you worked on GM cars.
