In this video, we are in Chicago for the Route 66 Nationals NHRA event. While everyone else is stressing out and qualifying, we cruise our street legal Pro Mods downtown! This isn't like Street Outlaws where the cars are trailered on the street, we actually drive them. Every car is registered and insured. But then we get serious for the PEAK Performance Street Car Shootout Presented By Sick The Magazine, featuring Alex Taylor, Dave Schroeder, Bryant Goldstone and more. Авто/Мото
CONGRATS To Dave Schroeder. He definitely deserves it. Great video. Shout out to Tom and everyone behind the scenes for a job well done.😎
I was thrilled to see Nikki Bobby and Uncle Sam are up and running and that they're included in this group.
Nice to see Tom,Dave and Nick got there cars back out.
Yeah, that was cool!
So glad to see Dave back in the game!!!!
The ZL1 running 7.07 with air con, heated/cooled seats, and almost every option. 😂
Dude bought a band new ZL1, drove it to the race car builder and cut it up with 50 miles on it.
To me, that’s the coolest car at the drag and drives. It’s the only fast one that makes any sense really.
@@strangefruit8776 definitely been my favorite for a long time! That thing is SO clean!
41:17 All original, all steel, factory dimensions. 😂😂😂
And the “interviewer” didn’t even react. The definition of clueless.
Congrats to Dave Schroeder! Well deserved. Looking forward to seeing him run at Sick Summer.
I'm liking the cat from Louisiana!! Nice edition!
Me too. I'm not a ford guy, but I like his ride.
What tha,, Tom chicken footed that lap?? He's been a 5:99 at 250mph but he spooked when the front lifted at mid track?? Ya mean our buddy Tom Bailey has human emotions too??🙂
Who can’t love Alex for her sportsmanship? Congratulations Dave!! It’s great to see the C7 back out on the track.
Request, when interview other drivers and teams. Could who edits videos put name there. So we not so hard-core fans and international viewers would learn to connect name, car and driver/team. Well all know Tom and Alex... but the rest 😀TY for great video again.
They all introduced themselves at the beginning.
Wow!! Tom's last lap 6:33 @245mph,, he's gotta be "kinda" happy with that. HUGE mile per hour even though it broke traction, slipped sideways and Tom hadda lift,, that lap was ON POINT for a record. Yeah,, could'a, should'a, would'a but it was pretty good considering all the troubles he's had recently.
Pretty good for sitting 2 years. He’s still the guy to beat if he’s on his A game.
a real shout out to Steve Morris Engines to send him out the back @245 after the pedal. The engine makes crazy power
Really enjoyed this TB. The personalities of the drivers (and a little of the competitive sarcasm) was fun.
Always a great day when Tom posts a new video.
It was nice to see DAVE and his VETT back at it
Three things that never lie:
1. Time slips.
2. Spark plugs.
3. Alex Taylor's yoga pants.
When loose-fitting clothes are an upgrade...
sure dosent bother her!
Hey Tom
I'm a 60 yr old retired Toyota/Lexus tech out of Ontario.
You sir, are the epitome of straight line racing.
I love your dedication and devotion to racing
Much respect
It’s awesome that Precision Turbos janitor was able to rebuild your turbo.
Finally good to see the smx stretch its legs even if it was a pedal job mid track. That definitely would have been a 5.
Tom Bailey, Subscribed because your videos are always awesome!
So awesome to see fellow Canadian Dave Schroder back out and to win to boot! 💪😎
Great video, very impressed y'all got in the 6s on the light prep.
I love the "pop-up" car show at the prison! Great effort by everyone, thanks for the videos
Hell yeah, Dave is back.
It was so good to see Schroeder back in the game. Love drag n drive
so happy to see dave back with the vette ive missed that car
Hell yeah, this is like a movie of racing content. These are the fastest of the fast also, no one is a a rookie and everyone knows their vehicle from front bumper to the parashoots. 👍🏻🏁🇺🇸
It's great to see Dave and the Corvette back out there.
Love Alex Taylor but happy to see the canadian win seeing im Canadian
It's an all steel camaro...I blew out my drink laughing
Love Alex's attitude! Great video, loved seeing everyone racing!
One of your top videos to date! Excellent!
It’s good to see Alex Taylor’s brother got his car going again.
Nick is her boyfriend lol
@@MichaelSmith-jv7zm- I heard a whizzing right over your head there.
Lol - Alex and Nick are engaged, they just happens to share surnames. But Nick do seem to be an perfect fit into the "real" Taylors.
That’s her hymen stretcher boyfriend.
@@russellridge8623jelly of the guy?
Man that Morris engine in Tom’s car wants to eat! Crazy power
Excellent coverage - Thanks👍
Excellent Video Tom ! Great Job Mr Schroeder ! On to Sick Summer ! Thanks for Sharing !
Fkn love seeing Schroeder. He always has such a positive demeanor.... And he is fast!
What an Awesome video!! watched half those runs twice, that was epic, thank you Tom and crew!!
How fun you guys got to enter this race. Drag and Drive is a super cool event. Best of luck to each of you! Be safe!
Tom being excited and so humble at the NHRA race is awesome !
has anyone noticed that prostock and promods all the cars make full runs I know these guys only make runs, on a dfferent surface however alex and her father adapted and made full runs on a NHRA surface. congrats , fyi i raced for over 30 years in nhra. thanks to all involved in this mile stone event and for bringing this video so more people can keep drag racing alive there is a livel for everyone get involved at your local track.
As usual NHRA totally blew a great opportunity here. For almost all of the runs there was maybe a couple hundred fans in the stands. NHRA had to be the most clueless racing organization on the planet. Their events are a total snooze fest.
@@danmyers9372 The NHRA is doing these guys a favor by letting them tag along.
Except for those who watch RUclips videos literally no one in the drag racing world knows the names of any of the drag and drive event guys.
They don't race any real competition, they race a small pool of the same cars and drivers.
At the Pro Mod Invitational at Bradenton racers I spoke with didn't even know who McFarland's was, they called him "that RUclips guy who bought the track next door."
Nor did they even care. A real promod guy would eat his lunch.
@@iknklstNobody cares about NHRA. That's why tracks are being closed down all across the country. I highly doubt Cleetus cares who knows him or doesn't.
@@iknklstwho cares about NHRA that's why tracks are closing all across the country. You think Cleetus cares who in NHRA knows him or not. He's got rich off of fans that love him not billion dollar corporations.
@@rmzlife Tracks are closing due to economic reasons, not the NHRA boogeyman you created in your head.
Racing is too expensive for the average working guy and that also has a lot to do with tracks losing money; no cars are showing up.
No one cares how much money McFarland makes, I stand by what I stated:
He doesn't race any real competition, he races to create content. Win lose or blow up he makes money on people watching his videos and the merchandise he sells.
The NHRA does the same.
Awesome Event, you Drag and Drive Crew are like the little Aussie Batler to the Guys who turn up towing their purpose built stuff.
HELL 'UVA FINAL!! Alex's PB mph was awesum!
Nice work everybody it’s great to see everyone getting tuned up for Sick Summer. Can’t wait
So cool to see you guys driving down streets I'm on once a week!
I give Tom extra credit for his love of racing and the enthusiasm he has for the nearly-abandoned Route 66 Speedway. The track will probably sell to another intermodal truck center like the rest of this section of Joliet.
Hey wait I recognize that nitrous drag week winner. i like the new vette he got.
Thanks Tom for an excellent video 📹. The exposure for drag and drive at this national event will pay off in spades! Excellent job by everyone who kept chipping away at poor track prep for radials. Congrats Schroeder on the win. Alex Taylor's enthusiasm and sportsmanship are second to none. Thanks to everyone who made this event possible.
The engineering behind the profiles of those exhaust and intake wheels is next level.
Thank an Engineer…
@@LTV_inc As an engineer, thank you 👍
I would love to see these eight cars, do a 1/2 mile event together.
Great show Tom thanks guy's have a great weekend 🇺🇸💪🏼🔥👍
Love seeing Greg talking on the videos Greg is my dude so happy for him
What an epic video of a highly successful week end! Thank you , and thanks so much to Peak for making this happen.
Turbo spins 100,000 rpms to 150,000 rpms it is mind mlowinhwhen you think about it. When I was drag racing I run a 1271 blower with Endurely injection. It was 2000 hp at the wheels 2650 pounds When I stop i was making passes 7.62@165. 70 Camaro moly cage. Leo Supercharger's is who built my motors. I miss racing so much. I had lot people couldn't believe I raced an had no legs from above the knees. Lost them in 1993 at my job. An got into drag racing . It don't let me post websites I have a website of all the cars I raced. And I had a chimpanzee that went to the track with me every time. Love your channel!!

“ I’m just a idiot with a streetcar “
"Anyone can do this."
Sir. I do not have a 7-figure budget to build a multi-thousand horsepower monster and all the support stuff that goes with it.
Great job tom and team !

Alex's Chevy is by far the sexiest car in it.
