    //FAQs??
    -How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
    This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
    This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
    -How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
    Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
    This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
    -How much yarn do I need?
    Unfortunately, I will be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.

    I almost never comment on videos but I wanted to thank you for your detailed, easy to follow tutorials. My 11 year old twin girls decided they wanted to learn to crochet but although I’ve tried many times to learn I never could get the hang of it. In an effort to learn so I could help them learn I headed to google and your videos were one of the first ones that came up. It’s only been a couple weeks since we started but both of my girls and I are slowly getting the hint of it thanks to your tutorials. I love the look of this pattern but I think I’ll stick to the easier ones for a while until I get a little better.

    This Canadian gal has this blanket are done. My chosen colors are variegated pinks, white & soft blues & every 2nd row I change to solid white. Then I put a ribbed border of 2 rows & wow does it ever look nice. Now I am making a baby beanie using this exact design & using a draw string at the top. My draw string will be 1 row of ch in white. Then I'll make 2 small soft pink hearts & attach to the end of the draw strings so they don't slip through. Then for the brim I'll do 2 rows of a ribbed border to match the blanket. I might add a pink heart to the blanket.....this blanket set will be for a tiny baby girl in the NICU in a hospital where I live in western Canada

    It's absolutely beautiful and so easy to follow. I'm almost finished with my current project, and I think I've found my next one! My question is about a border - since you are carrying yarn up 1 side, is a border necessary?

    • @bellacococrochet

      If you want to carry on adding rounds you need to increase the number of stitches before the increase stitch by one each time. In round 6, for example, you should work 4 trebles before working 2 trebles into one stitch. I have a question. Is it normal for the bottom edge to roll? Mine is rolling, and I wonder if this is normal. So far I’ve crocheted 10 rows.

    • @Ami5Jo
      @Ami5Jo 3 года назад

      I'm not an expert but in my experience it might roll or it might depend on the yarn. You should be able to get rid of it if you block your work (there sould be tutorials around the web for that)

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  3 года назад +1

      If the bottom edge is pulling up it could be a sign that you're making your front post stitches a little tightly which is causing the work to pull. Make sure you bring your hook up nice and high before you yarn over and pull through 😊 You should find that blocking also works to stop any curling.

      @@bellacococrochet I’m sorry, Love, I meant no disrespect, just to point out my difficulties. You are absolutely one of the best tutors & a lovely girl too. There are several cases in which I have trouble with colours together, not one of which is your fault, please accept my apology, I’m not usually such a “moaning Minnie.”
