- From the creators of the Shadow Fight series, Studio Nekki, Vector is a classic mobile runner that became an instant classic in 2012 due to it's unique art style and realistic parkour animation compared to other games in the same genre. 10 years later since the game came out, the full backstory of Vector has yet to be explored... until now.

This game was just the pinnacle of underrated back in the days (It still kinda is to this day) i was so hooked to Vector 1 i would just replay the game without getting bored, the smoothness and the gameplay plus the parkour all fit so perfectly it was just a perfect combination, nothing complex just a simple parkour stylish game with a bizarre story that can grabs anyone attention, one of the best games second to shadow fight 2 imo!

This game has my childhood and i didn't see the lore but now I'm interested in lore and i got to say including the lore this game is underrated

Playing Vector back then was so good. I missed the insane chases and the secret lore. But thanks for telling lore of this awesome game
I think you missed to mention some other minor plot points like the other 2 "runners" the girl from the end of chapter 2 who appears 3 more times and a girl with a pony tail and a shotgun in the extra levels of chapter 3 that seemingly "escapes" with you If you purposely slow yourself to see what she'll do.
Also, the strange device the delivery boy hands you before he is captured that is never shown, used or seen again.
Oh dang I never noticed there were more of them, I should check that out whenever I do a revisit on this video or something similar.

The normal girl appears twice more after the intro of chapter 3, once climbing an air duct in an apartment which you access by taking an exterior elevator and another one running alongside though depending the route you take she might just disappear.
The shotgun girl appears almost at the end of either the penultimate extra level of chapter 3 or the one before that.
The device delivery boy gives you are probably the car's keys. That's why Vector jumps in automatically
Nekki games have great storylines. Their legendary Shadow Fight series has one of the best stories in vudeo games imo.
Yeah Shadow Fight 2 had the best story for a mobile game especially with the opening cutscene.

As someone who has little to no knowledge about this game, I'd say it's pretty well put together video that connects the narrative together, which seemingly isn't directly told.
Even if you may or may not be getting the supposed story its presenting right, as you may think, I'd say it tells a fitting, if not what it is trying to say. Helpful, informative editing with the in-game docs, too.
As always, looking forward to what else you have about other mobile games.
Ive been wondering about this game’s lore since I began playing it when I was 5, now that I know I can finally delete Vector 2 and free up some storage on my device.

Now I imagine Pheonix from I expect You To Die, Mono from Little Nightmares, FNAF Junior's Jeremy, Detective Dale Vandermeer from Rusty Lake, and Stanley from The Stanley Parable just absolutely booking it from a crazy fan-mob like that one Cuphead and BATIM RUN meme!
You could even have Niko, Scott Pilgrim, Rocket Bunny from Walten Files, and Pedro (from Crazy Boy Pedro and his friend) playing guitars in the background as cameos!

Vector's one of the great mobile games I played as a kid. The Silent Age is another really good mobile game from back in the day, might be worth checking out.
This was the one that started my childhood.
and my parent's divorce saga.
Honestly this is a very cool video game considering a semi-realistic parkour. But hey I am looking forward for the part three of this Vector fanchise in near future.

I mean have you seen how many guards has tried to capture Vector ? He outran them almost all by himself until the end of the game.

Well you don't know enough actually if you see the doors in. Downtown it's all written 404 and also there is a small detail about mr Fredrickson, A.I gala journal is not completed. Also in new update and it's connection to new game called Spine from nekki. And more importantly Fredrickson body was never after death... let me hint you more about vector 2 biological contamination program in Vector 2 the last mission in the game of how our protagonist is actually different and also that the Subject 001 never took a part in running, it shows that the lore is even more deeper and they actually planned to use this deep lore and add new usable character in vector remaster. Guess what there is many more that Vector holds, but I don't know if people are still interested in it
I honestly skimmed that part of Vector 2 because I thought it wasn't important but I never knew there was more to it. I also never heard about Spine, but it looks pretty cool and could hold more clues for Vector's story. Thanks for letting me know about this stuff, hopefully when the remaster and Spine comes out I might make an updated video on the full lore.

What i thought is the richest man (who is a dumbass) in the game wanted to control the world. Possibly, the matrix. Vector was able to breakthrough & run for his life.

I have a own personal fan theory that Vector and Shadow Fight 2 are connected (No proof actually) what if the S.A.M Artificial intelligence was Titan (the final boss of SF2) imagine if SAM became so intelligent that it managed to build it's own physical body and gain the power to travel through different worlds and managed to arrive at Shadow's world, (In Titan's lore in shadow fight 2, Titan is known to be traveling and conquering many worlds)
Also in the updated version of the game, Shadow is a playable character in the current version of Vector.
That is an interesting theory, it's very possible they could be connected since there's lots of lore for both sides.

1:35 hey speaking of limbo I thought you should make a video of that game as I remember watching alot of let's play videos on that game back in the early 2010's and it was a pretty scary experience lol but it was an interesting one I was very young back then but I was able to appreciate the game for what it was and really loved it even if I had no knowledge on game design in any way
A Limbo video does sound like a really good idea, might add it to the list of future videos, also I do plan to make more Dan the Man videos as there's still the second season of the webseries I could work with.

You can see, in vector remastered the news heroes have a description can expand the lore, and a another thing in the hard levels you can see some bulinding with "Tensei" logo (sorry about me bad english)

Yeah that's a good idea but they're definitely enhanced clones because they do get tired during some parts of the chase.

İt is an bit disturbing to think about how the ai controls the world in the game
Essentially all it does is copy and paste everything
Every other worker that was inside the building vector was in were clones of him or most likely he was a clone himself
And just like that all the officers and police are clones of themselves too
Even the city is cloned probably with how similiar all the objects and levels in the game feel

How did you find this storyline?
It mostly comes from Vector 2 which had Journal logs that talk about the story before the events of the 1st game.

Vector 2 doesnt feel like vector, and i think its a bit complicated maybe (i dont honestly remember because i didnt play vector 2 for a very long time, a few years)
Yeah I agree, Vector 2 felt like a generic sci fi game and they ruined it with all the upgrades and stuff to make it more grindy. Vector 1 was good because of it's simple, but interesting world and story.

Vector will always be one of the greatest parkour games out there, not just for mobile platforms! and it has inspired me to develop my own mobile parkour game with elements from it and Mirror's Edge combined called Runner's Faith, lemme know if you check it out :)
I just did and I gotta say it's really great! I love the idea of a parkour game like Vector with the customization of Minecraft/Terraria. I'm sure it'll turn out to be an amazing game someday and I wish you luck on it's development. I might even make a video on it in the future when I get to play it when it's finished.

for long much, I had assumed that the main character of these two games' from back then was actually just some regular company-enslaved worker. a regular, naturally Created Human being like All others. but no, had to be written as a superhuman Lore-wise. Physically speaking.
I like the reference to Halo's Spartan Program, they are pretty similar apart from it being clones vs augmented child soldiers. It's also possible that Vector could also be a clone since in the opening cutscene majority of the workers look alike, which would explain his superhuman stamina.
