As someone who watched Dan the Man _after_ watching Bluey, Joe Brumm has great skill with telling meaningful stories using deceptively cartoony visuals in only a few minutes.
I loved how the creator went from making a ginger warrior fighting his way through everything that he confronts. To a fucking really good kids show about a family of dogs the glow up is crazy 😂
Sadly he's not eligible, he started as an animated character not as a video game character. But I would not complain if they decided to break that rule for him lol. (Personally though I think if any non-game character should make it into smash, it's Popeye...)

Which let me to this big mystery, who is this Dan character and what he look like in real life? Also I'm not talking about Joe Brumm's brother who he got that name from.
I have never felt more empathy to a fictional character than the baby dragon forced to generate energy. the king is a big meanie. Edit: i have been told it was the advicor, and i hope they stub their toe.
But the king had no idea about this stuff happening. In fact, in stage 9, when he was shown what was happening behind his back, he was heartbroken and started crying. He even tried to stop the advisor from doing anything more.
Maybe unrelated, but I got into terraria like a month ago (yes, very late), and I refused to fight the wall of flesh for like a week because I didn't want to kill my guide
I loved playing Dan the Man when I was little. I personally loved world 3, especially the battle against the Dark Master. Definitely one of the greatest mobile games out there.

Yeah even though Mobile games have a bad rep due to many cheap knockoffs and terrible monetization, there are a ton of gem games out there just hidden deep inside.
Bro that game hit different as a kid cause I'd play that game every single day when I was young I couldn't get past the boss in the sewer section cause it was hard and I was using my custom character spaming jump punch and punch cause it was op but now that I'm older it's still my favorite game till this day

Dan The Man started off as a short YT series. Evolved into a full badass game with an atmospheric finale. Then was long forgotten. Then it got revived with a season 2 YT series and now they are making Dan The Man 2 which is gonna be much more phenominal in every aspect! I mean, look at how the pixel art became in DTM2!
