- There are many zombies games out there, especially for mobile games, Zombies Ate My Friends is a very unique game with a cool artstyle and simple gameplay, but it was removed from the App store in less than year, but why?

That was an annoying aspect of the fucking game honestly, it being made at the height of pay to win/energy based mobile games sucked ass.
That goes double when all the other Zombie games back then were basically free and fun (Mini DayZ, the first person runner one, etc)
Why the devs didn't just bother to sell it without the micro transactions is confusing to me.
I remember the cash shop being easily bypassed with a little bit of tinkering. Gave you a week of free play until you got bored.
understandable, energy systems in video games are one of the absolute worst features to exist

Right? Like if you're gonna sundown any piece of software, it's your prerogative to let the end users know you're sundowning the software and won't continue to support it.
Glu just got double jeopardy by also removing it from the Google Play/Apple App Store, so that you REALLY can't do anything if the game corrupts to a point where uninstallation and reinstallation would be the only solution.

Anyone else remember zombie vs samurai's? That was another childhood game of mine. It's still on playstore though you can't play it because it hasn't been updated in ages, but yeah i just wanted to see if anyone still remembers that game.
Sir that game was THE mobile game for me growing up and it still is for me. It was made at the right time when smartphones were still limited and developers were making genuinely creative games, I miss that era and the games from that time it is a shame a lot of those games are unplayable or unremembered.
Dude. I used to play the crap out of it back when I was a kids. I even remember how I always used the glu coin on some meaningless reviews instead of using it on premium upgrades 😅
I love it so much as a kid and it even had a sequel adding more playable characters to the game.

I remember one zombie mobile game which Square Enix created. It was a Card-based game. I know it has a wiki, but the issue is a preview which had a character design I will never forget. Anyways, this genre was swarming the world in 2015-16. This game really did have a generous run which servers still continued. Some games had interesting plots that really did show betterment of writing and gameplay at times.

I have ben searching for this obscure zombie game that I played when I was a kid. For years I couldn’t get a lead, all I remembered was the faint remembrance of the apps art style, so unique from other video games I played. As soon as I saw your thumbnail I knew this was the game. Sucks how it’s not on the AppStore anymore, I loved that game, thanks for making this video

Anyone remember a 2d zombie game with a blonde guy wearing glasses? The first level was a city with a 2 headed big zombie, then there was a jungle with a big bug, then an ice cave with an ice giant and the last level was a factory with a giant robot.

I might be wrong but I found the game you're looking for is "Monster dash", made by the same guys who made jetpack joyride, dan the man, fruit ninja, etc. I found this out by using chatgpt and narrowing down all the possibilities and found this to fit your description. Idk about that one but does anyone remember a 3D zombie game where the main character kind of also looks like a zombie? If i remember well the first level was in a cemetary. If i remember well the game was something among the lines of "chuck vs zombies" but i search for it and never find it.
I played this so much when I was a kid, I looked it up recently and couldn't find it and now I've just seen this video and it brings back so many memories.

there is no reason for the deletion of the game. Glu just deletes their projects if they don't make enough money or stop funding them and keeping them up to date. Examples are SvZ and its sequel, and Zombies Ate My Friends.

@@Cattdude if possible try going over the holiday missions too, I remember them being a thing when I played. I think there was a limited time Halloween event story.
I think that what makes zombie games so appealing (at least to me) is the concept of having all of humanity against a single foe, and how there's no hiding behind military forces because not even them are able to control the situation in most of those games' universes. It's a scary situation that gives us a thrill real life doesn't. the teamwork is the biggest appeal factor in most apocalyptic scenarios to me.

I randomly remembered this game yesterday and considered redpwnloading it, then I see this, the algorithm truly does read minds. Sad to see the game is dead, but great go see this video. It reminded me of a zombie survival game around the same period called DeadTown Survival, it's a top-down survival game with some automation aspect, the game has tons of potential and gameplay depth, too bad the developers just kinda disappeared and its google service shut down, at least its still playable today but unsupported for some android version.
WTF, by the time I checked this game on google play store it showed that it just updated last month wtf happened, I thought the studio already closed or something like that happened to them

Hey, I remember playing this game. Pretty much have the same thoughts, too: the pay to win is lame and the energy sucks, but the rest is good.

Holy crap I forgot about this game till now. I sue to play this as a kid and enjoyed it so much it was the coolest zombie game I played at the time
this video reminds me of another zombie game that i love a lot and used to play it a ton in my ipad, it was called zombie! zombie! zombie! (Zx3 for short) it was made i think by a company called big fish games??, it was a unique spin of the match three formula in which a wave of zombies will slowly appear and get close to you and you needed to pick 3 zombies of the same type to kill them (and every zombie that was in the middle of the zombies that you picked also died as well) there was also other ways to deal with the zombies with some stages having stage hazards that had cooldowns but did a lot of destructions, some special zombies that you could find in some stages, like a screaming mohawk guy that when killed with their pair dropped some mines that exploded zombies or mini bosses that had a ton of health but when killed will give you a special ability that you could use any moment in the current level and save for other levels, there was also some abilities like one of your survivors turn into a ninja that you had to drag to move but was fast and killed zombies very quickly, and also a tank with a minigun on it that could tank damage if a zombie got very close to your survivors, and it also had lives system but only if you lost the level which i found very good, and also there were some minigames like ones where you only use the ninja and tank powers up for the entire level and even boss fights (i only remember 2) which was a big zombie that threw zombie heads and you had to play a pong style game for you to damage them and later kill them, and there was a mutated giant american football player that threw multiple balls at you and as the other boss fight you had to fight in a pong style game.
theres a ton that i remember from the game but i don't feel like writing it all in this comment but i wanted to mention it cuz i though it was interesting
I have no clue what the game is, haven't played it but still pressed the vid out of curiosity and sticked around on the journey, I had fun watching, this was well made and well researched, you got yourself a like and a sub random stranger.

Anyone remember a zombie game where you run a zombie high school that goes from bottom to top and you raise high school zombie to attack humans high school to get more zombies or something like it. And the whole game is you managing a zombie high school to attack a human high.
I never played this game myself but remembered watching my brother play it. I was scared of the game because I was terrified of zombies at the time.
