What do you think about the photos from this digicam? The slight vignetting in the top left corner is probably the only thing that really bothers me about it. I do have a deep love for these slide cover cameras where all the zooming in/out with the lens happens inside the body of the camera. But wow is this camera slow...
Lovely shots! Do you shoot in auto mode?
I’m not a huge of this type of camera because the lens aperture is quite mediocre for low light, but here the dynamic range is pretty good and the lens is decently sharp.
@@MrAndreCoutinho Thank you! For this camera I didn’t shoot in auto because it has full manual controls. If a digicam allows for full manual controls I’ll always go with that. But many are auto only. Thanks for watching!
You really have the gift of putting an atmosphere in your videos, it's really good
Thanks for saying so. A lot of credit on most of them goes to the musicians who made the songs. And I will say that J Foerster / N Kramer’s album Habitat is soooooo good if you’re someone like me who loves ambient music that transports you…
Thanks for watching and commenting 🙌
Great video, as usual! I loved the photos, especially the one at 6:53.
Good call. When I went over the bridge I started shooting a ton because that kind of aerial perspective combined with the starkness of the lot that dumpster was 🙌
That shot is one of my favorites from the walk as well.
I like the photos. Any camera will do a great job. These cameras are very nice.
Thank you! I really love their design I just wish they could take the photo a little faster 📸
am inspired from ur vids & photos. thanks man
Get out there and shoot! 📸
And thanks for leaving a kind comment 🙌
Awesome pics! Are we gonna explore CCD sensors in the DSLR world next in this channel? Would love to see it!
At some point perhaps. I do have a CCD sensor Sony Alpha 200, and I also have a Leica V-LUX bridge camera I need to make videos about.
All in due time, but I appreciate the feedback. I’m always open to camera recommendations so always feel free to cite specific cameras, and if I can track them down I’m happy to make a photo video about them.
Never mind I watched to the end and got the answer! Very relaxing though. I know a lot of those locations, esp downtown. But the ones of the White House seem very typical of a lot of places on Omaha. Reminds me of 13th? Near Sokol.
Yup, that’s exactly right. I had parked just east of 13th St. and walked close to 5 miles round trip from Little Bohemia to west downtown back through central downtown. It was great to be out making photos for most of the day. Thanks for coming over to this channel and watching!
Hey Matt, do you edit these photos or do they come straight out of camera like that? (Commenting at beginning of vid cuz those are nice shots)
Haha - saw your 2nd comment. Yup, all info for these vids is in the end credits 👌
Fun video
Thanks for watching!
I'm wondering if these colors come out of the camera like that or did you apply any filters afterwards?
All of the photos in my videos are edited using the RNI Films app for iPad (I cite this in the end credits). I apply their Portra 400 film emulation that I’ve customized in order to reduce the strength of the emulation. I also adjust exposure, highlights, shadows, etc. to get the images where I want them.
While SOOC images are interesting to see, I prefer to edit the photos to my liking.
Appreciate you watching and commenting!
Colors are wonderful. Beautiful shots
@@oleksandrart21 Thank you!
I had one of these. It just isn't for me so I sold it - color science leaves some to be desired, and the video quality is dubious. The vignetting you mentioned also applied to my unit, and the stereo mics are pretty poor.
I probably won’t ever bother messing with the video on this camera, and while I love the form factor I don’t love how slow it is. I’ll write a bit more about this in the description soon so those who are interested in it have a better idea of what’s good and not good about this camera.
Thanks for your input!
@@somephotovideos The anti-shake feature on these are also notorious for failing, as does the plastic trim around the camera which cracks and breaks. Thankfully it worked on mine, but only because it already had the firmware updated.
@@brigganthewolf1461 Yup! I learned this the hard way as well. Luckily I was able to update the firmware and can still use the camera. I was shocked that I was able to do so on a camera that came out in 2007. Going to include that story on my write-up in the description.
Thanks for watching!
@@somephotovideos My unit actually already came with the firmware updated, which was a surprise as it was listed as untested. Then again, the seller mentioned their father had taken great care of the camera, so I shouldn't have been that surprised.
@@brigganthewolf1461 Definitely got lucky with it. I can’t decide if I should keep this one… I love the design of it but don’t love shooting with it 🤔
