Interesting video and nice shots. I like older digicams too. Have a tiny collection and use all of them. Most times for landscape photo walks and location exploring :-). With greetings from lower Bavaria.
Thanks so much Siofna! Lovely to have a viewer in Germany. I was in Bavaria last in 2006. I will have some more vintage digicam reviews on the channel soon!
@@MattLovesCameras Oh that's fine :-). Maybe a tip. My favorite cameras are the Lumix LS3 and the Samsung ES15. At the moment I am erperimenting with the Fuji Finepix E500.
Wow, winning! 🥳 great little camera, I have a second video about it too showing travel shots from Japan! Hope you have fun with it and thanks for watching!
Thank you for that detailed video! I just bought the casio ex-s2 , but I'm not sure how to transfer the data to my pc/phone my camera didn't come with the original usb cradle How did you transfer the photos? any specific software needed to be downloaded?
Hi, I never use the cradle other than to charge. To download the pics, I take the SD card out and pop it in my computer ☺️ I don’t have any specific software for it, I import into Lightroom and add more saturation and contrast. I talk about that more in my second video about the Exilim 😁 thanks for watching!
@@MattLovesCameras Will watch the second video too, thank you didn't know you could connect the sd card to the computer (I mostly use film/wifi cameras) will try to see if that's possible too for me :)
it looks very good, how did you get that green filmy look, when I look at the photos on flickr, none of them look like this .... did you edit the photos ....ps/ did you play with WB or does the camera have some settings with color contrast and so on... I'm planning to buy it, it's important for me to know ... greetings
Hi thanks for watching! Yes sure did, I ramped up the vibrance and contrast in Lightroom. Also check out my other video about this camera - I use it in Japan. I show you a before and after editing example. Straight out of camera the images are a little flat.
Hello !! I recently bought a Casio Exilim M1 and as you mentioned that EX-S1 would only work on 2gb, is it the same on the M1 or does it have a higher capacity? I'm just new in using these things so I'm always a lil bit worried cause I might break it or smthng 😅😅
Hi! Since I recorded this video I bought an M1 too! I haven't used it much, but just inserted a 16GB SD card in it and it doesn't work. Pop a 2GB or less in it, and it works fine. Happy shooting and don't forget to check out my second video about the Exilim EX-S1 in Japan on my channel!
Hi, thanks for watching, glad you enjoyed it. I've addressed the music in another reply already and I don't think I've used any music in my videos since this one. Cheers Matt
They should be recording on the SD card? But if you have some that you took on the internal memory before inserting an sd card, there’s a menu option to copy them over
Picked it up through a camera store here in Australia selling stuff online. They pop up from time to time, keep looking! I just ordered a couple new batteries for mine as the originals don't hold their charge.
Hi Paul, I'll be mindful of the tracks I use in the future so they're not too distracting. There are closed captions with this video, so you could turn the volume off and just read those instead. It's also worth pointing out that I've only been on RUclips for 8 months so I don't claim to be a professional presenter or video editor but I am trying to improve. Cheers.
I had this cam in my shopping cart. I smashed the buy button after seeing the images you got off it. Lovely
Amazing, I hope you have fun with it! Such a cool camera. I have a second video about the Exilim with photos I took in Japan 😊🇯🇵
Love the nostalgic quality of the CCD sensor. The photos of the arcade seem to be the perfect setting!
Yes I love the lofi ccd look! More games arcade photos coming up in future videos ha ha. Thanks for watching Jonathan!
Really liked the video. Well presented and very informative. Also loved the pictures from this funky little camera!
Thanks so much! Really appreciate your feedback 😊 🙏 more vintage digicam reviews coming soon!
i loved it. so nostalgic photos.
Thank you! It was lots of fun 🤩
Love ccd as well the focal length..the pics came out very awesome...I would rock this whole day as an edc...
Thanks so much, appreciate your kind words! I really need to get a new replacement battery for it, then I will be able to rock it the whole day ha ha
I have one and love using it and the results. Seeing a growing hype about this little digicam. Thanks for the review.
Yes it’s a lot of fun! I’m thinking about taking mine on a trip to Japan this year because it’s so tiny! Thanks for watching 😊
All the photos had this film look which I really liked. Great video.
Thanks so much Gabriela! I have more vintage digicam reviews coming in 2023 😁
Protect this man at all costs, he's so precious🥲
Me? 😅 thank you 😊🙏
you just solved all the problems in my life here i was freaking out trying to get the supa cute pics off with a 32 gb sd card 😥❤️
Ha ha yeah it’s an easy trap to fall for 😂 have you tracked down a 1 or 2 gb card?

@@siofna9709 very cool, I will look for those 2 cameras in my hunting! 😄
That ball claw machine image is pretty sweet
Thank you! How good are games arcades 😍
Great!!! I love it. Is it Casio Exilim 8.1 mega Pixels ?
Hi no this is 1.2/1.3 megapixels 😂 they made more of these cameras though so some might be 8mp 😊
i just got this camera for $5 at a flea market, i'm very happy to have found such a small treasure and for so cheap too! ('‿')

Great video without that unnecessary too loud noise in the background

Saya punya camera ini, tapi tidak hidup lagi. Saya curiga mungkin battreinya rusak. Bagaimana cara mengganti battreinya
Hi! You can buy replacement batteries online, search for “Exilim EX-S1 battery” 😊
do you know how to get the pictures on the camera to the sd card, i can’t figure it out
They should be recording on the SD card? But if you have some that you took on the internal memory before inserting an sd card, there’s a menu option to copy them over
where did you buy this one? can't find it anywhere

What’s the video like??
as you'd expect 😅 lo fi but pretty cool. There's a small clip here ruclips.net/video/gWP0C5Wj94M/видео.html
so if i used the sd card with 32 gb, it wont work on this camera?
Yes that’s right! Anything over 2gb and the camera will turn on but nothing happens.
No didgeridoo digicam pics?
There’s a didg digicam? 😅
Struggling to follow the dialogue because of the pointless muzak. No thanks.

what does it mean when the red light "stays on" on the blinker?? I just used it for only twice and it suddenly didn't want to turn on 🥹
Gosh I’m not sure, have you tried a new battery with it?
