Do you like patina or nice paint?
as a body man l cant stand patina. l fill if I put time in to make run it needs new paint. sorry Silas l dont mean to raint . really like your show even your raints it just a good release some times
I like nice paint on them but it's whatever anyone likes if you like patina and that's what you want go for it
Depends on the vehicle and the patina
I like nice patina, exactly like that blue C60 you talked about.
I can't afford to keep nice paint nice haha 😂😂
If its Original paint, with just minor wear, some Patina is ok, otherwise paint it.
The first truck I remember dad had was an International K farm truck. It was gone around 1960 then a 62 Chevy pickup and GMC grain truck. I sometimes drove the 70 Chevy one ton cattle truck to high school when picking up supplies in town. Then a Chevy C 50 that was on the farm when the farm sold 8 years ago. Watching you save the old iron makes my heart happy.
I can't believe you smashed the Tahoe with those two front immaculate seats those seats alone are $500 you should open up a warehouse to put such items in interior pieces is all I'm saying are worth a lot of money😮🎉🎉
I had them priced at $75 for the pair and no one wanted them
That blue grain truck sure is a gem Love it and hope it goes to a good home.
I waited a month to bid on this truck only to to see the price go insane at the end of the auction . I'm glad you got so at least I can see it in action! I also own a salvage yard and I've NEVER seen a big back window on a big 60-66 truck not to mention A/C on a 292. I bet it's the only one left in running condition
What did it sell for?
Good afternoon everyone, Happy New Year to everyone. And congrats to you Silas on hitting the 100 thousand mark for members viewing. You and Sleeperdude are the main RUclips channels I watch.
me to
That is a super clean truck. Hope someone can put it back on the road. Thanks for sharing your time and adventures. Peace
I agree, and I have never seen a farm truck that old have factory AC. If I had the 15,000 dollars I would buy it in a heartbeat and drive it back here to Pennsylvania.
Leave everything stock except a 4" chopped top !!
No chopping it. That will ruin the value and it will not be all original.
Your new year’s first video was a great start for you Silas! Hope you and your family had a great holiday!!
That blue truck is a beauty Silas I hope someone buys it and keeps it
Excellent video to start the new year. That blue Chevy is in great shape. 👍 👍👍👍
It's good to see your new video Silas and hoping that you and your family are doing well and having a great start to the new year. I also enjoy when you go through the interiors of the vehicles looking for treasures and money left behind. Hope to see one of those videos soon as well. Take care Silas.
Many thanks Silas, I just really love following along with you and your channel. I've e been here since the early day's, and It never disappoints.
David in the UK
Hope you get a good payday on the truck it's in great condition and it's really nice 👍 👌
He needs a broker to show case these trucks instead of just tossing. Them. Wasteful
The Patina looks freaking awesome. As soon as I saw the factory tinted windows, I knew it had to have AC ... ❤ thanks for all you do, Silas !!
I was thinking the same thing when I saw that. Then I said to myself, "No way will that truck have factory A/C. Well I learned something new today.
For years, I painted cars as a hobby. I love patina. If I were to paint anything now. I would paint it satin black. Keep the adventures coming! Smitty
I was the first one to give you a thumbs up for this video. I know that doesn’t mean anything but it makes me happy. You are one of my favorite utubers!
no it does not mean anything and its sad your happy for that!!!time to get a life then if that makes you happy!!lol
@@yeahright302 You know that was mean and unnecessary, it wasn’t funny at all. Maybe you should keep your mean comments to yourself.
Nice #1
@@garyduquette1784 lol!!!!
@@mr_jake.y8348 yeah nice #1!!!from a fellow (no life person),we have to stick together!!!btw, when you leaving your moms basement and coming to see me in my moms?lol
Really like seeing some of those ole trucks. Being in my 60s I grew up around them. We made a living in the timber. Thanks for sharing 🙏.
Good Afternoon There My Good Big Bro Silas Of Adventures Made From Scratch
Agree with the other guy you are one of The best RUclips we've got out here.
Silas When you talk to the camera and You are explaining things and playing Simple English We really enjoy that.
A lot of people talk down to you on these videos. When I watch your videos? It's like I'm sitting right next to you and listening.
Thank you sir.
Hey man, love your outlook and attitude on life. Keep it up! Always makes me happy to watch. Happy New Year, friend.
You’ve got so much knowledge, it’s really amazing.
Where I just came across your channel and I did not know anybody was still doing about old trucks it's nice to see them
Great video, its always an adventure cutting up the old trucks
I would buy the grain truck. I have a 1977 International loadstar 1700. Grain trucks are the most underrated truck type
Great video. . Congratulations on reaching over 100,000 subs
Great find!
I just love that old Chevy garn truck you got into your yard ❤❤ ❤❤
Happy New Year Silas. Keep up the great work.
Yes Happy New year Peace out
Awesome always cool stuff always thanks
I am so sorry that you chose to be so simplistict in your reply. I am an engineering technician (84 years of age) who has a few more smarts than not to try that first. I could control your voice but when it was at that point of being listenable the background music was so loud it wiped out everything. I have never had any trouble with this condition on your channel before and by the way I have enjoyed your "adventures" for some time now. Perhaps you could look at your settings??
That's an AMAZING C60! Definitely deserves a good future! A fully functional awesome workhorse! Will make someone very happy!
Dear Mr. Silas.
👍👌👏 Oh WOW, you purchased some really, really nice trucks. The one with the rare options could easily be put back to daily work. I love the big six cylinder inline engines. A lot of torque in them.
Thanks a lot for making teaching explaining recording editing uploading and sharing.
Best regards luck and health in particular.
For your merchandise line! An idiom you often use would be a good seller “ It is what it is “. Think about it!
Good evening Silas!
Hello Silas. happy new year!
Wow! What a sweet truck!!! truly is in awesome condition, you are correct that this is a special order truck that you just never see. It has factory tented glass in great condition with factory A/C , & Deluxe Trim. I think it is such a cool truck. Silas, please do not cut this up at all, it is perfect as is. I hope you fine a buyer soon so it can live on.
Awesome video Silas
HappyNew Year Mate
Beautiful Kansas sky, there at the end !
You always got all the cool stuff. I'm trying to save up and hopefully by spring I'll see something old you have that I want. All our old big trucks in Buffalo are mostly gone or total rot boxes by now and not worth fixing, and I want something old, (1950s, 60s, 70s), something I can work on myself and use for my carpentry, hauling tools and materials. I like Dodge, Chevy, IH. And a lot of those old farm trucks still have a lot of work years left in them, built to last.
Very cool truck and rare there are people out there who have money and will spend it for something they want good luck
Excellent silas 😊
Very cool buy
$15k is nothing for this truck. I’m retired and old!!!! If I was in my 40’s I’d be flying over to buy this and drive it to Virginia! I love it. All it needs is bucket seats!! Nice video. Man that truck is cheap for what we see at dealers.
That would be one awesome roadtrip back
That’s definitely a nice truck Silas
that blue truck is pretty sweet, very clean, 12v swap or etc.. probably worth what your asking just have to find someone that really wants it
Very cool trucks
That grain truck with AC would be one to list on eBay. Worth a shot.
Congrats on 100k
Love that truck very rare .
Restoration on that well maintained farm truck would be a very easy task! :D Wouldn't be much work for an enthusiast who's into restoration. A dream find, that's for sure! 😃👍👍
Around about 1950 my Dad bought an old ex Army Morris Commercial truck. Wooden sides, canvas top to use around the farm. Giant ex army sales place near Nottingham, England getting rid of surplus army vehicles. Got it home, cracked cylinder block from being frozen in winter I remember. But in the back it was stacked with wooden boxes marked EXPLOSIVES. He thought they would be empty and opened one up. They were full of some kind explosives as stated. He rang the suppliers and the Bomb Squad came and took the boxes away. Anyone else had similar experiences.
You should run the vin to see what where the options on it. The auto makers did a lot of experimental stuff and still do
The algorithms dont lie. More viewers because of awesome content. Who wants to watch network TV when you can get Adventures made from scratch.
Our last farm came with, I think it was a 1947 Chevy grain truck with a dump bed. The Owner ,told me that it hadn't been started in about 20 years . My buddy from Church came over and helped me change the fluids and filters, I had to put a new hoses starter and rebuild the carb and new master cylinder. Only took up about 2 days of work getting it done. Fired right up, drove it to our CO-OP around 8 miles away. When we got there 😜 I don't think there was any tread left on the dry rotted tires. Then I realized the 2 outer rear tires had literally disintegrated. I paid for the new tires and drove it back home, they also replaced both rear wheel cylinders and brake lines. I don't think I ever got it over 50 mph, howling like a pack of wolves, the low gears. My brother rode with me 1 time 😮😅, wouldn't do it again because he got hoarse throat trying to talk over the noise. We got rid of it a couple years later because I got laid off from my town job. I always regretted my decision and never found one that nice again.A True workhorse.
Hadn't been getting notifications silas hope you're Christmas and new year's was joyful
wow,that is a nice old truck.those 6 cyl.were good motors.
some was not so good on gas, some were.
WOW that 292 is a gem
Awesome truck, I sure hope the right person buys that! Stick to your price
Puddin’ from Puddins’ Fab Shop needs that tilt column.
Nice truck
That was a nice truck you wanted $15,000 for but true you just dont see those very often. I have a boatload of money just not enough property for storage. That's why I only have one project right now. You have to make money any way you can these days. Thanks for the video Silas and Happy New Year
You Bought some really COOL Trucks - very Impressive Looking ! Yes - some People are very unreliable indeed - throws out Your Schedules all the Time ! Congrats on Your 102K Subscribers - well done and well Deserved as You always put on Super Interesting Video/Adventures ! Many Cheers from Australia !!!!
Love the old blue truck. We used to have 2 1961 C60 grain trucks on our farm when i was a kid in the 80s
15:15 ,thats a nice truck ,definitely needs to be kept or restored, or just kept in working order, the last time i seen one of those was in 2000 in Southern California at my friends relatives farm & it was sitting abandoned for 20 plus years ....it also had factory AC & super rare ,i ended up getting it with my friend Vincent & it went directly to the Port of Long Beach to another friend who exports vehicles to Japan, where thats where it went for restoration & then it finally ended up in Australia.....that truck is definitely worth the $15.000 ,especially if it ends up in the right hands... i actually like that blue color 💙 way nicer than the white one that got exported
I just wanted to tell you brother you’re doing a great job. Also, the truck is very unique and considering the condition and everything working. I think you are a triple your asking price and that still wouldn’t be too high because it’s such a unique truck a guy like you works hard enough deserves to make some decent money on those trucks. I just don’t want to see you cut yourself short, God bless you and your family. Keep up the good work that the Lord has planned for you
Old trucks like that are worth some money if the right person comes along and restores them back to original condition
Wow that truck is a 10. I definitely can't afford that. That is definitely worth taking to the auction like Mecum Auctions.
Nice nice ole blue Chevy farm truck w/ ac from factory
Great adventure with you Sir always enjoy those interesting videos and cars you have in them keep up the good work in2024 as well !!!
Hey guy, new Comer on the block. The super57trucker realy needs a 72 or older 2spd. rear end out of a C50-70 Chevy truck.
I just bought a 1951 Chevy like the orange grain truck in your video.. It is cherry, even has the original head liner in it..
I have a soft spot for those farm trucks. They could tell some tales if they could talk, they're also a small part of the farmer's legacy. I know you hate it dear but yes you need to make room. there's always going to be vehicles coming in. Folks don't consider just how hard you try to give the classics a second chance. Praying you and your precious family have a safe, prosperous new year full of many blessings and adventures. Stay safe and GOD bless
Suggestion: Keep that running and driving truck to use as a yard runabout/scrap gatherer!
That blue square body would be cool with one of the older cab and clips set on it with a nice flatbed.
What a great truck wish i could afford to buy it.
The Chevy Bonanza is highly collectible and that one looks too far gone but the good parts are valuable especially the “Bonanza” badges.Hope you and me and everyone has a better new year and that we all remember to be kind to one another.
Halfassed Customs made a crew cab International by welding two cabs together. Then he mounted it on a modern Dodge frame. The truck called The General, is really cool.
that blue chev truck a beauty could be built in to something cool easily that truck would rotted in haft up here in ontario canada great video
Gday mate. Been watching for a while now, normally watch on my TV and can't comment. Now in hospital and watching some older content. And I just wanted to say thank you. Love the variety the honesty and the old cars
Just wondering if you have ever had any Australian cars in your kot
I never have. Someday I’d love to find an Australian Ute of some sort!
Wish I had the money that thing is beautiful!👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
On that really nice blue truck that you started up there was a rubber hose going to the top of the air cleaner I never seen that before is that just something that's there or has does it have a purpose
GOD SHINES ON YOU..THAT 454 IS A GREAT FIND. ..YOU SHOULD KEEP THAT ENGINE N PUT IT IN A CLASSIC. TRUCK OR A COUPE...YOU GET GREAT STUFF..
I'm guessing this guy enjoyed pulling the wings off of flies when he was a child. 😅🤣😂
Wow! You saved a sun tach !
Only a $200 item. I should have tossed it in the trash I guess 😆
Thats a cool old 60 Dodge in the background when you were pulling the engine out of the Hummer. Hopefully it isn't getting crushed.
i agree with you, please dont cut that old blue truck up, give it a chance to live on, the fact that it is so complete, brakes work, everything you mentioned, is very nice, if i were able, i would definitely buy it and NOT quibble one bit on what you are asking, it is a true diamond in the rough
At times it's good to purge, there is only so much space. As long as your getting a number your happy with it's worth it.
Yes Sir!!!
Great deal on that truck Cyrus man I think purrs like a kitten
....??? ....who is Cyrus ??
Silas at end of video or near the end was orange Chevy truck with loader on it with jeep next to it did truck have a loader or did it just look like it
the loader in fast forward 😄😄beepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeepbeep
Glad to see that Chevy semi truck was saved
It was a pleasure seeing the Hummer torn apart. I did enjoy that!
I need the driver's side fender off of that blue Chevy pickup.
I sure hope that 1963 ac equipped farm truck finds a new home as a complete unit! It’s to nice to take apart! But, the market will decide.
Woah i just seen that 62 rambler classic station wagon, i need a parts car so i want that
just wandering do you buy fuel or harvest it of the wrecks ?
Some of that stuff ur crushing sure has alot of good bodys!
you should keep that really nice truck for farm clean up and take that 454 out of the 77 and put in it
