Man, every day is a treasure hunt for you! I agree, that camper is cool. Someone who has the time could really turn it into a nice unit. Thanks for sharing your adventures with us. Peace
16:08 Yamaha Moto BMX bicycle. Swingarm rear suspension and telescoping forks. I had one back in the 70s. Rode it down to a nub. Jumped it over 10 trash cans a few times. Thanks for the great memory.
The scene at 20:46-20:50 is so tranquil, that lighting, almost dreamlike. The dust blowing in the background adds to the dreamy aura. I also love the wide open countryside as you drive down the 2-lane highway. And the train horns in the distance earlier in the video. Wish I could live near there to work with you and help you haul stuff.
I love the old camping trailer, you are correct, it does deserve to be restored and used again, I do not remember ever seeing one like it, would be cool to know the maker / manufacture and the year it was made. Thanks for making an effort to save it from the crusher & hopefully, find a new home with somebody that can give it love & a second chance to once again be beautiful as is once was.
you always find and get the coolest old trucks and cars ever Silas! This is one of the reasons why I watch you, you simply know what great history in vehicles and not many people know what they really have! Happy Mother’s Day to your family, and thanks for a great adventure!!!
* I believe that's a 54 - 55 Series 62 Caddy. They used to call those campers "A Canned Ham" . That one is pretty rough but people restore them to pull behind they're vintage car.
Oh man! I sure dig that camper! That was a favorite from the bunch. I would go through that and fix it all up for camping again. I have never seen a model like that one before.
My dad got a53 fleetwood Cadillac out of a field restored it we used to go to shows when I was teenager back in the 70s.seeing your Cadillac brought back good memories. Thanks Silas God bless
Thats a clever way to load those crushed cars using that stand. That old caravan going to take a lot of work Id start by cleaning it out and resealing the roof to make it water proof.
Cool camper. Mind-blower here: Up in Alaska, these people came into the shop one day from Manley Hot Springs. Come to find out, they'd found...I think it was a 1967 Shasta camper in the woods on their property in about 1.5 feet of mud. They drug it into town (in Fairbanks) and requested we rebuild the thing. Basically, the only things we really needed to do was replace all of the running gear underneath and redo a majority of the electrical/fixtures to make it all highway lega, then upgrade the safety chains. The thing was immaculate inside...even had the old owners manual under the seat and all of the exterior/paint/flying wings/hitch/etc...Mint. And there it was...who knows how long it just sat in the mud with a total of about 7 people seeing it over the years (guess). As of the time it came into the shop (2014-ish), it was roughly 47 years old.
Love all the vintage vehicles (especially luxury cars, and old farm trucks), glad you try to rescue as many as financially possible. Unfortunately where I come from (eastern Ontario Canada) anything older then 20 years of age are usually one big lump of RUST, because we use salt in the winter, so these are all interesting!
Happy Mother's Day to your wife Silas. The Camper! Cool. Lots of people around that restore these old beauties. You know, that would make a cool kids playhouse.
I had a 54 Caddy I bought from a gas station in 1969 for 85 dollars. I’ve owned a lot of cars in my life but I still miss that caddy the most! The 54 had slightly larger fins so I think this one is a 53…
I love that turquoise green Cadillac man that's beautiful. You. You should just save that car it's far and in between you find a car like that move. Your videos keep him coming❤
The camper is awesome. It would be a fun project to restore, but would take alot of time, I really wanted that International step side pickup he sold. Would like to find one
Silas, about a year ago, i gave you a hard time about wearing so many clothes, and complaining about the heat, you explained that being hot is better than getting cancer-Very true words, in newhampshire, im still goin without a shirt-at 54, i dont believe it will be the cancer that gets me,my father, of 93 tells me! Your videoes are just getting better and better, just plain good vibes, even when you have to stay after closing time!
It is a 53 Cadillac. From my opinion the best year of Cadillac , but they use to rust like that so its not unusual . Its a Cadillac that i guess can bee putted back on the road if the frame is stil good ? In Sweden people drive around in very rusty old American cars but they put new floors in them . My Pontiac is also from 1953 ,and not that rusty . Somebody in America saved my car many years ago using 2 part cars .
Burn Baby Burn ! Lovely Driving through the Country Site - very Flat but Pretty ! Now that Camper can be very Useful ! Cool looking Barn from the Inside - wow and wow again ! Great Smalls You bought and all those old Trucks - the Scrap Yard Spinning Wheel keeps on spinning - a never ending Story - but a GOOD one ! Yes - You saved some really Good Trucks - hey - Camper must be close to being the Top Dog ! Many Cheers from Australia !!!!
as someone who runs a similar business in the uk, its nice seeing someone else with a similarly hectic schedule, everyday another treasure hunt with no idea what you might find, makes me a feel a little more normal since this is about as far removed from a 9/5 as you can get. i'd love to come and visit one day, can see a lot of £££ being thrown away that might be worth my time to buy and ship to the uk....
Love that camper just got one myself saved it from going to scarp its a Serro Scotty brand going to restore it a 1967 model year , enjoy your channel what's the best way to reach you to make an appointment to come by your ranch to buy parts or whole vehicles thanks again .
Thanks Silas! Love that 54 caddy and the old camper trailer, both are very restorable, but could of course become art pieces and parts if no-one buys them! That Mustang rear looks great!
I appreciate people like you taking these old vehicles and try to restore them to their former glory if they can be saved that is.😊

That 53 Cadillac with the Mae West bumper, was nice.

What architecture!
Almost cathedral like!
It's kinda hard to see classic old cars being scrapped because i have a place in my heart for those cars
Oh man! I sure dig that camper! That was a favorite from the bunch. I would go through that and fix it all up for camping again. I have never seen a model like that one before.
Great find Silas! There is quite a following for those old Gulf Stream trailers (that looks like one) and they are very straightforward to rebuild!
The old Dodge and the camper are a couple of great finds. 👍 👍
Loved that clock from the barn
My dad got a53 fleetwood Cadillac out of a field restored it we used to go to shows when I was teenager back in the 70s.seeing your Cadillac brought back good memories. Thanks Silas God bless

Thank you for saving so many old American artifacts. Once they are gone, we won't see them any more.
Cool Trailer !
I love the camper
The green Chevy 4400 was my favorite.
Barn finds we're cool.
Silas, why dont you fire up the crusher and crush as you are moving them instead of staging them? Seems like it would save time and fuel.

Silas , I 'd like to see the Cadillac pulling the camper !
That'll be my favorite pair !
Some good saves for now
I really enjoy your videos! 👍🏻👍🏻
Some people just have that nack to make videos interesting! Although I think the older rigs help👍
That M is just like the one I pulled a bailer with in the mid 80's.
My favourite was the old red International at the start of the video..
David in the UK.
Look at the tail light lens it should have a date on it
I liked the Gremlin at the end also.
The camper was cool but loved the old caddy
