As a dump and privy digger I would breaking out a backhoe and and a new feature to your channel , digging adventures from long ago! There are bottles that can be worth thousands of dollars.
Looks like 1930s to 1950s but there could be better age deeper.
Happy New Year and doesn’t matter how long you film for it’s just fun going along with your adventures
Well said, was thinking the same words
Love your videos love the old trucks an cars
If you dig down, you'll probably find some perfume bottles, and those are worth some money. Also, the cobalt blue bottles are highly collected. I hope you do some digging! 😊
The easy way to clean the glaze and varnish from old bottels is to soak them in deture cleaner for a few days. It will leave you with clear glass.
Never heard of this method
My grandma used to dig bottles, and we'd go in the holes with her. It was so much fun finding treasures in the old buried dumps with her. I still have some of her bottles. She used to soak them in dish soap and warm water, but the thing that got everything off of them was salt.
@ShoeSniffer-qu7gg enjoy your spaghetti bro. Don't use too much salt. 😂
Hey, there’s a table missing in your cabin!
Enjoy your food !
If you market with orange paint, you could see it from the air with your drone. That would be really cool.
We use a empty plastic tomato sauce bottle clean it out and when it’s dry fill it with oil for cooking and you only use what you need
You should defiantly do more videos like these
Happy New Year to you and your family. Fun video never know what you will find. 🎉🎉😊😊
❤
I like it
Good Evening There My Good Big Bro Silas Of Adventures Made From Scratch & Happy New Year
I like the old dump picking, brings me back to my youth when my twin and our friend used to explore an old veterinarian site near our houses in the 1960s. we found all sorts of interesting stuff, including the vet's pewter shaving mug. we knew it was his because it was engraved with his initials! I had that thing for many years but don't recall whatever became of it. I can actually date our fun up there as the first moon landing took place at the time we used to go there. Just one of those things where you remember what you were doing at the time it happened. great video Silas
I enjoyed watching you eat lunch in the bus restaurant
Last summer my buddy bought a property that had a old small house on it. The terms of sale were of course it was as is and you could not enter the home it also had a old two car garage with no doors and a new wood shed also. So once he got the keys and got into the home it was unreal of what this guy had left! Antique toys, signage, radio equipment for like firefighters, computer towers like 50 or more. Whole sheets of stamps that were in a cardboard tube. Security cameras etc. Then in the old garage we found a 5 gallon bucket of silver change, filled to the top and I’m talking real silver, the new shed had all kinds of hand tools, yard tools, electrical supplies, it was damn nuts! The we walked the property to find the back pins and the property sloped down to what we thought was a creek. Well I seen some glass sticking out of the ground and there it was, a long trash pit that at one time was a ditch that led down to the creek, I found a amber Orange Crush bottle like 10 oz and a Pepsi and Mtn Dew same style bottles. On eBay they were going for $20 bucks each and didn’t look as good as the ones I dug. Then I ask my buddy is this a creek or a spring run off and we looked on google and it didn’t have a stream shown on the map so sure enough it was a spring and soon as we got down to it I spotted where a old still location was at one time. We walked up the small stream and found the spring head which was on his property and headed back towards the front I ran across a old huge hand dug well. Biggest one is ever seen, it had to be 6ft in diameter, it had filled up with dirt over the years only being 4ft deep at the time. I can’t wait to get back in there with some tools to see what else I can pull out of the ground. Run your machine back there and turn up some of that soil and see what you can find.
Finding uranium glass is like a needle in a haystack I think. It is beautiful though! We have collected a few pieces over tbe years.
The Vicks jar is older like 1930s-40s or older
I bought my property about four years ago, 21 acres of mature forest. It's a blast exploring it, and I come across signs of former occupants and user all the time. I had to do pretty much what you are doing, a little detective work to find the property lines and corners. Like you I've two corners that are somewhat guess work, but eventually I'll find the buried markers (iron bars). Fun times.
I wish they would have buried iron bars here. Another nearby property used the river bank for the property line, and over the last 100 years the river has moved nearly 400 feet 😆

In the property owner's favor or no?
Great video thanks for sharing
I was born in Wichita... You might check to see if that was an army encampment at one time...
I live in Va & I used to go metal detecting in an area where the northern army encamped a few days ..
But there were 30'000 troops there for about 10 days ..
I found mini balls by the pockets full , but I also found brass buttons & brass chevrons...
At one point I realized I was walking along a perfectly straight enbankment ...
I researched it & as it turned out it was a quaranteen camp for small pox...
So , you might have an army camp or just a tree line that caught the sand & dirt during the dust bowl & since...
I studied the U.S. Army history focusing on the civil war thru to 1900 and as you know, Kansas had many forts & army camps during the Indian wars...In fact ,
Custer spent a lot of time in Kansas before he met his fate on The Little Big Horn...
My dad worked for Boeing and when I was three , he transferred to a Washington factory ...
We ended up in W.Virginia when my dad was hired by Kaiser corp. to develop the tiles for the Space Shuttles ...
They developed a method to fuse aluminum plate together at a molecular level thru heat & pressure ..
The tiles were several inches thick & they wanted an alloy of aluminum that could take the heat of re-entry , but fused with a different alloy that was extremely light...
So the first 3 to 5 inches was made to withstand thousands of degree , and then fused with a much lighter aluminum they would disipate the heat...
I watched a demonstration at this Kaiser plant where they heated the outside layer of aluminum hot enough to melt rocks , but on other side it didnt raise the temperature even one degree...
As you know, the last shuttle disaster occured when foam broke away from the external tanks and blew a 14 inch hole in the wings leading edge ...
Those poor souls were doomed a few seconds into the mission , but didnt know it ...
On re-entry , the heat entered thru the gaping hole which caused the shuttle to break apart while traveling over two thousand miles an hour ...
I've lived in Tx most of my life & the shuttle was scattered all over east Tx...
I talked with an engineer at NASA & he told me the commander knew they were in trouble because scensors in the wing showed extreme heat & then went offline ..
He further said the audio was never released , but the last two words spoken were from the commander & they were "oh God "..
9:07 Best I could find using Google lens, "PL" and the trident is "Petrolager" a similar jar is selling for $25 on ebay, that one reads "physicians sample" on the front.
Happy 2024 Silas!
🤠👍
Happy new year 🎊🕛. The Pepsi bottle maybe you could cut it and make it less jagged around the top. It would be an interesting pen and pencil holder.
First time seeing a Pepsi bottle like that. I did a google picture search and an ebay picture search on that brown bottle and didn't get anything. It's a cool amber bottle though.
Metal piece appears to be the tail section of arrow showing wid direction on an old weathervane . The more expensive ones had arrow tip and feather end made of brass.
Use the brown jar for a toothpick holder, in the junkyard cabin.👍
Aarma dilo Holes or a medal detector found out there use the be 1800s dump there and went diggin with out permission.
I sometimes find nice old glass bottles in the woods near my place, & sometimes the extra high tides that come with full moon tides or hurricanes & noreasters bring in really cool old bottles as well from both the older parts of the fresh kills landfill as well as the tidal marsh
Great video, Happy New Year

Happy New Year to you and all your family
Thank you for the vi#eo, Happy New Year.
Hope you and uour family had an awesome Christmas and and amazingly New Year.
You should talk to your neighbors and start a new trend marking the corners with old cars by vin#'s pour a clear UV resistant resin over an older cars vin tag and put it on the corner hell maybe even 2 pointing both directions.
If all property owners agree just drain all fluids and take off the tires. Run a Dozier in then drive the loader with the car in.
Any ways just a thought...
Also in 1 of your old campers remove the fold down table ( the ones attached to the wall ) and put it in your bus...
Hoping you get a knife sponsorship so you can get an awesome machete for these adventures.
Keep up the awesome work
the weird bottle is an ink bottle.
You can use the compass on an iPhone and type in the coordinate on the deed to get within a couple of feet from the property marker. I worked up in Dighton as a powerline contractor and that's how I had to find the pole that I was supposed to work on.
Whiskey bottle
If property dates back to 1800's.....depending on when dumping started....could be some very good botlles down deep. May be worth digging a few test holes with excavator.....then digging by hand. The surface botlles looked 1940's....May find some good milk bottles, and Mason jars.
It was used as a dumping ground through the 30s and 40s mainly
Is it possible that’s old rail tracks? The hill that is.
Phoenix or eagle rare whiskey bottle
Make more junkyard treasure hunting videos
8:37 Fleischmann’s Liquor 1940s
how did your property get a new area?
It didn’t. I’ve just never explored that area
Do you have a P.O. Box that gifts can be sent to?
9:36 that would have been a poison bottle, ribbed so you didn't mistake it for something innocent in the dark.
Question for you, is it better to order clip on rocker panels or to cut one's off of a van.
Those clip on one's are mainly used by people up in the northern states where they can't get their vehicle inspection for safe road use. Cutting and welding new ones is better for longterm repairs!
Indian burial MOUND
McDonald's is the last resort you're hungry to get a quick bite

Why not mention the date you created the video??
Because I have no clue many times 😆. Many of my videos have clips recorded over the course of weeks or even months. Very rarely do I record a whole video in 1 day.
@@moreadventuresmadefromscratch I do remember you talking about the 9" of snow.

I totally understand how busy you are but.....if there is any chance when you start a video if you could say the day/date? TIA and Happy New Year Silas!!
That hospital despensery bottle is over a 100 years old
Anchor Hocking. Good value
I know that I have never seen a bottle like that hospital bottle. I knew when you picked up the blue jar that it was a Vicks vapor rub jar .
I doubt pushing 100. Looks to be 1920s to 1940s. Probably at least 70 or 80.
Happy new year from Australia bro!
Awesome always cool stuff always thanks
