I'm a Bea Arthur fan. I'm sad, as this is around the time she was diagnosed with cancer, and she tried to keep the public from knowing. She will always be a diva to me.
I thought she was a little bit older when she was diagnosed with cancer. This was filmed in 2002. I still wish the Golden Girls could've gone on for another decade. She passed away in April of 2009, less than a month shy of 87. I was under the impression she was diagnosed in 2006, treated in 2007-2008, unless she had more than one round.
How wonderful of Bea to invite them to see the show and even offering to put some tickets up for them- a class act through and through! The interviewers are awful here though.
+andii doode It was well known throughout Hollywood that Bea Arthur liked her drinks as well...Just saying...Stories have been told that at dinner parties she wasn't that far off from Vera Charles in Mame...
Bee author I love you you are a wonderful person thank God you stood up for these poor tigers on judge Judy..... It's sad because of this I lost all respect for Judy.... You did the right thing.... I love you.
Bea has more talent and intelligence in one fingernail that Richard & Judy combined - how on earth has he in particular sustained a tv career for 40 years?
Omg how many times they wanna bring up her looks and she keeps shutting them down 😹😹 I mean they were being nice so that’s good but bea is just so direct and fab
Well Judy is back which it's the same judge show where she is right and makes everyone out to be a lier same show different name... And now she has her granddaughter on and of course she is valued over everyone
I don't think Richard Madeley (Tony Blair's yapping Pekingese) took very kindly to Bea's jab at George Bush. Nonetheless, massive respect for Bea for staying classy and composed despite their persistent rude remarks.
I didn't like this one bit. When she said stuff like I don't understand etc I felt after that they didn't take her words seriously enough, they did but not like other ones have. It was kinda uncomfortable
To be fair, Richard Madeley is a complete jerk both onscreen and off.. Judy Finnegan, his wife, is a really nice person and she was a brilliant journalist....He always talks over her and interrupts her, and that goes way back to when they co-hosted This Morning on ITV
I will always be grateful that I had the chance to see this Legend in the Savoy.

Queen_Of_Domination Agree!! I am a huge lover of Bea and I am curious how do you know this. About her cancer? How do you know it was around this time?
It was all over the news actually. She kept her cancer private, until the last week or so. What great talent lost.

Wow I love when they ask or comment on inappropriate topics Bea sets their asses straight. Loved Bea!
Why can't they just talk about her career instead of making her feel uncomfortable?
Daniel Maya Indeed.
Wow what a blast from the past god love ya bea we miss you and love you
They started with a wrong foot and Bea was very frank. She surely wasn't a diplomat, you know.
I wonder how much she knew about his neoconservatism and his support for Bush's Iraq war.
Why is it that every chat show from Britain that Bea was on seems to involve asking her about her looks or her voice or other personal topics?
Brits summed up. Obsessed with looks age and money.
@@desertrose1226 America is far more obsessed with this topics. But this was the trend in both countries on trashy morning tv
Bea looked a lot like my late mama. Dorothy was also my moms fav Golden Girl. 🤍
the late Bea Arthur was too classy for richard and judy.
Richard with his alcoholism, poor guy!!
Bea liked a drink or two too! However she was classy about it.
@@asprelskcalling1151 what does alcohol have to do anything ? The point is these hosts are were rude to their guests.
I still love my Bea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!From the bottom of my heart, with greetings from the north of germany!
We were living and working in Eton at the time of thIs very awkward interview. We saw her at the Savoy and enjoyed the performance very much.
Living in Eton and working in London as expats, that is.
Richard and Judy are so rude here. Why would you start the interview discussing her age? Bea was so professional and classy.
You know, when I think of great literary figures of our time, it’s usually Faulkner, Fitzgerald, and Schwarzenegger.
Season 3 episode 15 👍
Is it just me, or are the interviewers making fools of themselves in front of Miss Bea.
YES
Richard Madeley made me cringe by assuming that Be a would even want to have a drink with him after one of her shows
probably his drink problem rearing its head

MrCherbear1990 Thanks for sharing, I had no idea. Interesting though, perhaps he thought she might be a good drinking buddy.
She kept herself classy up until the end with their rudeness

Bea was wearing Batik from Indonesia ❤️
A face lift will cut 10 years off even Bea Arthur.
Omg how many times they wanna bring up her looks and she keeps shutting them down 😹😹 I mean they were being nice so that’s good but bea is just so direct and fab
Easy to see why Richard & Judy aren't on tv anymore! Truly awful interview.
Well Judy is back which it's the same judge show where she is right and makes everyone out to be a lier same show different name... And now she has her granddaughter on and of course she is valued over everyone
LOL. What did you think when Arnold was running for Governor?. Bea "Oh Please". Yep. Miss this lady.
I don't think Richard Madeley (Tony Blair's yapping Pekingese) took very kindly to Bea's jab at George Bush. Nonetheless, massive respect for Bea for staying classy and composed despite their persistent rude remarks.
The final minute and they ask about her show. The whole reason she’s on there in the first place. Rubbish.
did he say lovely to meet you ? hes interviewed her before
Wow.
If bea really knew how much her fan base have grown
I didn't like this one bit. When she said stuff like I don't understand etc I felt after that they didn't take her words seriously enough, they did but not like other ones have. It was kinda uncomfortable
Flattering
To be fair, Richard Madeley is a complete jerk both onscreen and off..

Jos and Toady 😀 TV
A stroppy attitude? What a rude interview!
Daniel Maya Yeah, I just cringed. Where was the respect??
Soooo bad!!!!
"I'll bring some Jack Daniels..."
"Why?" - quick as anything
She had to cover up for him all the time I would imagine
What an awful interview!
Bush is too classy for Bea Arthur
What an awful interview. No knowledge of her career or relevant questions.
Talking about people’s ages is so tacky. And dull.
Terrible interview. Left the interview knowing nothing about Bea Arthur.
The gravel voiced?? The DISRESPECT
Cringe worthy interview
