I could listen to this gentleman regale me with stories of yesteryear. His encounters and friendship with Bea Arthur are treasures for me. Thank you for sharing.
This guy is awesome! Did he ever get to write his book??? I always love to hear the behind the scene stories! The films are great but what happened behind the curtain is what really intrigues me!
Yes! I think he was done with them by the time we got to filming this. He had a few dozen of stories written out and I have a copy of them somewhere. Glad you enjoyed Larry; he was a gem of a man and a great storyteller.
so betty says but from what we do know is that bea wouldn’t even go to lunch without the girl and according to her son bea did in fact like betty very much she was merely introverted
No. Both Betty and Rue said so. Rue had to play constant mediator. At the end, Bea had run all three other actresses off. Deal with the facts. Bea was extremely cantankerous and rude to many.
@@smcclure77, this is STRAIGHT from Rue McClanahan's and Betty White's mouth. Neither of them had ANY reason to lie. Several people have heard heard Bea refer ti Betty with that despicable C word. Wake up Lady and deal with reality.
@@Michael-qb5hg I’ve read EVERYTHING on it. At the end of the day, they got on each other’s nerves at times but people have it made it bigger than it was. It’s not anything you should get upset over. Just chill a little bit, it will be ok.

Intriguing
Did the book ever get written?
Who are these people that thumbs down
Assh*les, Jeff... assh*les.
Queen
Breaking news! Larry, however, preferred to be called the "Queen mother"... please use that nomenclature in the future.
The eyebrows - come on
Bea wasn’t fond of Betty

@@Michael-qb5hg I have to politely say that you couldn’t be any farther from the truth.
