All governance will descend into oligarchy, plutocracy and fascism at rates that are determined by the quality and stability of its consensus seeking strategies, the tolerance of bad faith actors in its processes, its best practices policies and the documentation of data that goes into the making of its policy choices. They cannot be compared outside that framework in regard to speed of that descent. Consensus seeking strategies are what create the possibility of a society. Anything less creates a war zone. As such these are the foundational topics of establishing a healthy society.
An entirely fanciful discussion unless you address HOW to bring down the state, a state that controls everything that matters, including people's minds
The situation is even worse than depicted. The missing link in understanding the state (the self-interested state competing in the interstate system) is understanding that the state reduces to self-interested human tribalism competing in the evolutionary arms race (instead of species competing against species, human tribalism competes against other human tribalism in the same manner). Alternative to liberal orthodoxy, human state of nature is tribalism, not tabula rasa individualism. Moreover, that tribal state of nature is instinctive, demonstrating a taxonomy of tribal instincts with authoritarian characteristics. Tribalism is evolved through three primary components: a) ethnocentrism (“race” and ethnicity), b) monotheism (typically a unique exceptionalistic origin story, but can be any prevailing belief system), and c) ultra-nationalism (territoriality, sacred resources). These three elements constitute a synthesis resulting in a non-negotiable identity, which is affected through in-group/out-group dynamics by tribal instincts with authoritarian characteristics. Essentially, in-groups demonstrate exceptionalism and supremacy, including demonize out-groups as lesser entities deserving second-class status, and worse in the draconian treatment direction. These in-group/out-group dynamics are at play within class structure, where the ruling class always represents a vanguard identity that subjugates the working class while prioritizing achieving ultimate power and security within interstate competition. Escaping Homo sapiens species exceptionalism requires stepping outside of biological determinism through cognitive-based abstract thought, scientific reductionism, and objectification. The solution requires a comprehensive cognitive-based alternative (systems-based eco-socialism) to the entire instinctive-based origin story.
The State isn't sovereign, the transnational rentier oligarchy at the top of Wall Street is sovereign.
