The smile on his face says so much. It seems like gratitude.
It is medicine. It is everything good about the world. Barton Lynch is such a dude too. His passion for surfing and knowledge rivals the best🤙
That hit hard
Here's well explained why I do surf.. 🙏
The most beautiful piece from a surfer.. Love your work BL
Paddling is a sport...actual riding of waves is an art
Beautiful! Drop that mic!
BS
a tip : you can watch movies on flixzone. Been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@Randall Joe Yea, I've been watching on flixzone for years myself :)
I've always known it to be called The art of surfing.
It's an art. We've turned it into a sport, but it's one of the few things that was created without competing in mind.
Total BS. Hawaiians used to bet on their competitors in competition.
Champions achieved a higher social status, but that is what sports is for! Art is just a gimmick.
@@rasmuszaurins7233 lol ok. My point still stands. The first man to stand up on a surfboard didn't do it to compete with others.
@@kipuchino How do you know? Actually polynesian and pacific coast people did NOT have written language, therefor no written history. Also when and where did people first staretd stand up surfing? You seem to know a lot or just pretending.
@@rasmuszaurins7233 lol. Your one of those kind of people. Flat out trying to make as point online to someone who doesn't care. Later dude.
Gold once again Barton Lynch ! Thanks for sharing . Love your style . ❤️🙏
Where is this full interview?
Btw, Barton Lynch one of the coolest guys ever. WSL is lucky to have him, Pete, Kaipo, and a few others.
Medicine. Well put.
Righteous
I know what you mean BL I lost my son and surfing is the only thing that keeps me sane. Losing someone that close to you when it's too early for it to happen. It's the scariest reality to face.
Soulful art in its purist form
This hit so hard. It so damn true.
beautiful
To me it was always an art form of flowing with the wave, however, with today’s competition and extremely athletic competitors part of it has become a sport! So it’s both!
Surfing is an art and a medicine.
Man. This hurts to watch. I can't surf anymore cause of this bad hernia. Been almost 2 years. My back was so bad before I had to start surfing an SUP 6 years ago (see my profile photo, at a Baja beachbreak). I'd still surf a normal shortboard if I could. But with this hernia, it's all over. Like I have a Big-Mac sized ball of intestines poking out left of my groin. And I can't get the surgery. That's for people with money. Like medicine.
It’s an experience
Art until finally! 🤔🤙🇺🇸🌺
Both
Spiritual medication
indeed . protect the oceans
made me shed a tear me-self mate -- i mean YO, its exactly what you said it is: Medicine
cool anecdotes..didn't really answer the question though.
With an answer like that, the question doesn't matter.
💪😎🤙🌊
Everyone says this type of shit about their own sport, which surfing definitely is.
But... surfing really is an art. Really, when pro surfing came about, in the late 1970s, it really sold out as a sport.
@@SlickRick4EVER Ignoring surfings´s history. Even hawaiians held surfing competitions giving winners a high social status.
Mainly surf is just a business.
You have not surfed....
@@SlickRick4EVER i can said the same for you. I dont speak about what is surfing for me, but what is surfing in general. And its really hypocrite to dont recognize that surfing is a business washing.
And thats sur you dont be interesting by a large part of surf history...
Ooh, and for your judgement, im surfing for 25years ago...
@@clo3342 You know about surfing´s history, really? Ancient hawaiians had surfing competitions way before whites or "business" came. And winners gained social status and beters made and lost valueables.
But of course "business"!
@@rasmuszaurins7233 yes and surfing swimming pool is an incarnation of this spirit? Greenwashing to? Workers exploitation to? LVMH, Keirin, Nike, red bull.... to? A large part of surfing magazine is like a fashion magazine in order to retribuate announcer, but its not a business. And surfers are mainly just a consumer... See the placement of the world of surfing about brazil in 90's 2000's and now with no hypocrisy...
Its mainly a business and the spirit of your ancients is far away or just in your own practise.
Surf is mainly a business, thats just a fact and a lot of surfers dont like to said that, i know that to. Your contradiction is really revealed.
