Just bought my first house and I’m doing the kitchen and bathroom all DIY. your videos are a god send! And yes, I filled the kettle first
Hi mate, I'm currently doing my own bathroom and your videos have been so helpful, just subscribed! Great content
So many of your videos help me- this was another. Thanks so much
I always watch your video. You explain every stage very clearly.well done
Great informative info as usual! Thank you
Exactly what I was looking for great video 👏👏👏
I like your videos. Instructional and entertaining. Just subscribed
I've just repaired a leaking O ring on the flush pipe of a concealed toilet system. The job took 15 mins but took over 3hrs to get access to the back of the toilet! The worktop had been fitted & tiled on leaving no access to the back of the toilet! Nightmare! Another great video from plumberparts!
We have a leak under toilet and access is very tight. Looks like small leak for a few tears that has now found a way into floor above sitting room. The cistern is completely tiled in, no access except for pulling out toilet unit. The clean flush water pipe connection to toilet is where the leak is. The end of the pipe was cut off unevenly. I have made that smooth and lubed up the connection but no access to push pipe in the only way is to line it up and push in toilet unit. I think it is not making a good connection still. So . . I'm starting to take off tiles! Great fun, kind of.
@@JamesColemanLikesWind You have my sympathy! I reassembled the bathroom vanity units & worktop to give easier access in the event of it leaking again.
James man.... fix sounds like repair. Fit seems more appropriate... tut tut 😂 I remember the " this stuff is cheap, leaks are expensive " saying... So true
loved the video
I always use a piece of soil pipe in the bend to make any slack up when fitting the Flexi
Nice video mate, love the watch to 😍😍😍😍
Thanks for these great videos - I'm a DIYer who is just in the process of ripping out a early 80's bathroom and putting in a new state of the art one - your help and advise has been a godsend - do you have a vid on fitting a steam shower ?
Could do with steam shower info myself!
Another nice video, ta. Quick question, are those 90 degree horizontal bends generally safe? wouldn't it obstruct the flow?
Hello mate, thanks for the video. What do you think of those pan connectors that have the built on waste boss??? Thanks in advance - I'm holding tight!
Thanks for the video. Which sealant did u use? Not CT1
ok great video ! is the cysten described by the makers as a front access one ? Thanks
Great video, what size hole saw did you use for the strap on please?
Thank Chris
What make is your quick release hole cutter, and where can I purchase one, thanks, always enjoy your videos
Can a pan connector flange go directly into a push fit socket?
And can you use a push fit coupler with an existing piece of 110m?
Great video. I'd like to fit one in my bathroom but my 4" waste pipe runs across , am I able to cut enough out of the sink vanity unit to allow the 4" waste to run through it??
I can't have the sink/ toilet the other way round as the space doesn't allow it
What does the return pipe do, is it like an overflow, breather or suchlike??
What quick release arbor are you using in this video? Does it work with any hole saw?
Did you bring a track to the job site? That was a slick camera pan in your first shot of the video.
Good tip on the ‘strap on boss’ installation. I’ve had a few of the solvent weld boss’s not take properly before and couldn’t figure out why. I’ve seen in various USA videos they usually use a primer the pipe with a solution before the solvent weld, but that doesn’t seem that common in the UK I’ve found.
Just for your interest , I work with industrial plastic pipe and its always cleaned with a cleaner , don't know why this doesn't apply to domestic .
you are supposed to use a cleaner but people rarely do, i recon the reason the strap on boss may not take too well is because your just pushing them together and thats it , unlike a pipe and socket where you twist them together which allows both the socket and pipe material to fuse into each other , otherwise your just putting glue on the top and allowing it to dry ....
In the US, primer makes a big difference on PVC and is required by some building codes, almost a guarantee to have problems if you don’t
Excellent.
Hi I'm swapping a built in back to wall pan tomorrow and don't want to have to damage the granite fitted on top over the valve.
Can I remove the pan and put a new one in without turning off the water. ... your video seems to support that xxx
I have one of these enclosure units and unfortunately I cannot change my toliet seat cannot figure out how to acsess underneath the toliet where the seat bolts underneath nightmare
Hi just started to re-do my toilet I've been looking at your vids for some time one shows you cutting the collar on a cast iron soil pipe is it still available ? I cant find it is there a ref. number just to make it look neater thanks Ray bennett
Good work!
You really like your job.
Hi mate I have learned a lot watching your video and taken up my bathroom project which is nearly finish. I just wanted to ask you quick question regarding boss strap you use for basin what size hole cutter you use please. Many thanks
Hi mate I found the answer to my question on RUclips as I presume you must be busy. The hole cutter size is 54mm to use please don’t make a mistake of using 56mm.
Can we connect toilet plastic sewage pipe to old cast-iron pipes or do we have to replace all the system
Fantastic
I just fitted a floating toilet and it appears to be leaking ever so slightly from the flush pipe, I suspect its the rough surface of the porcelain, any tips how to stop it? Could i put plumber maite inbetween the ribs of the rubber seal?
Hi, can anyone please tell me where I can buy the adjustable legs that fit on the inside of the cistern cabinet carcass that has no base?
I cant find them anywhere. Many thanks.
Well this video panned out well in the end , Boo laka sharrrrr!
try doing that when the concealed toilet is tiled and no mention of the pan fitting kit!!!.. good vid for tips for some tho. but lifting toilet over pan fixings while trying to connect the flush and waste pipe can be a proper ball ache on a tiled boxing. I love removable panels on the back of toilets ... im proper old school!!!!.. but good entertaining vid none the less .. well done!!!!
Is there not an issue with condensation in the enclosed space?
was the grey coloured elbow that the toilet flexi pipe went into a 90 degree or 92.5 degree elbow? thanks
Are offset pan connectors ok to use?
Cistern outdoor overflow no longer needed on these new concealed ones?
Just watched a couple of your videos and like your energy and delivery so decided to subscribe. I'm planning to refurb our family bathroom and your vids will come in handy.
How do you actually position the clips to mount them to the floor, my toilet has some weird side mounting clips that sit inside the pan and I can’t find a video to Install them
Should you have pushed the O ring seal on the flexi WC pan connector straight into the soil pipe bend without a 110mm off cut pushed in first?
Do you ever use those weird things you get with the toilet to screw it down to the floor, or just silicone??
Is there a video on how to adjust toilet flush volume on the same cistern whilst the toilet is in position, is it just twist the valve and pull it out? Unsure if I can get it back in without being able to see in to it , worktop is fixed in position and bathroom is finished thanks
Can you do a video on 10mm to 15mm adapters please.
Was your slip ring split?
What do you do if one of the flush buttons stop coming back out fully? Like the big one on mine only comes out half way now.
How far into the pan do you push the pipe through the flush cone?
very good
Hey mate ... Where can I purchase a concealed cistern with 90 degree bend flush pipe or just the pipe on its own (38/40mm) as yours on here instead of a long swept bend? Got a fluid master to replace an original unit and sits above the cabinet worktop height even when cut to its minimum towards the bend ..... help can’t make the misses flush the no.2s with a bucket for much longer !! 😂🤣
Hi great video but what is gunkday?
Good video but was always told never to put pan connector in to socket, should go straight in 100mm. What you think?
Yeah I usually do too, but changed method for this job to see if it will work. They're only down the road so any problems I'll know straight away. As it happens, all ok at the moment!
its only a matter of time!
We always cut a sleeve for the socket
Flush is being a frikin nightmare on this one I'm doing. Just can't get it to not spitting out of the back where the flush cone goes
Not a fan of those flexi pan connectors. You could have got away with a straight pan connector? Neat job though.
Hi mate I noticed that hole saw kit u use is on another level!!! Which brand n make is it? Pls hit me up I’m a big fan 👨🏾🔧🤜🏾🤛🏻💯

How do you fix the toilet to the floor after finishing everything else? I would have thought preparations for the fixings should have been done before.
Wait, how did you fill up the cistern to test it? Why didn't it all run out of the hole in the bottom??
Currently sat on the loo watching this video.
on a shower waste is 1"1//4 ok or is 1"1/2 better ?
What was the make of cistern you fitted in this video?
Fantastic video, big help for me!!
Thanks a lot Jimmy
Wouldnt you have to of disconnected the toilet again anyway to fix it to the floor with the brackets?
Hi James. The tool that you used to cut plastic pipe looks really quick and easy to use. What is its exact name please?
Wood saw with a fine tips
Any videos showing standard sizes of each pipe for each situation?
So you didn’t fit a floor pan kit to the floor before you pushed it all in. Or do you not bother with those? In which case the customer is left with the two holes in the side of the toilet pan!?
i was hoping to do the same thing with my bathroom basin but thought the smell of the wast pipe would come up through the plug hole
this is prevented by means of a basin waste water trap.
What’s the holsaw size please
Not sure why you're using silicon instead of the correct cement?
I love it this job
Hope you like guys! Was on a job so thought I'd film how I got over this! PLEASE follow me on Instagram www.plumberparts.co.uk/social.php?social=Instagram I would have used a toilet elbow with integral boss but didn't have one on the van! Sorry! Also was a bit naughty installing the multquick into the elbow without a 110 sleeve, but all is well and there's no leaks!
plumberparts Nicely done James ! Accurate job - however slightly doubting about flexible filler pipe - it looks overbended a little bit - I think shorter pipe would be a better choice... or even copper pipe with threaded fitting.
plumberparts Excellent video, easy to follow... nice watch, what brand??
Think that's a Diesel!
Plumb-Dawg have you ever used one of these? 'Aladdin EasyFit Isolator'

I've got a unit like this and it's leaking a tiny bit from the bottom where it is sealed to the floor, any tips or ideas on how to fix or what the issue may be please?
Could be cistern leaking from the bottom, water supply connection, cistern overflowing, flush bung leaking, pan connector leaking check them all
Take it the Pan is just getting the good old Silicone Jobby to fix it to the Floor?
The question is how do I access the concealed cistern toilet once it is installed. Basically the big button does not flush the toilet anymore only the small one. What could be causing this?. Trouble is a cremaic tabor vanity basin is fitted on top. Would I need to remove the whole unit just to get to the Toilet. Or just remove the sealent and the two pieces?
80's Lad bit late reply but you’ll be able to access the cistern through the front 2 vanity unit pieces allowing you to work on the cistern
Shouldn't the title say 'FIT' not 'FIX' a concealed toilet?
Hey ... that flexi is designed to go inside the soil pipe not into an elbow..That elbow should have a small amount of soil pipe inserted AND then your flexi pushes inside that small piece of soil pipe. It gives a tight fit as it was designed for. Mate I believe this is the only error I have seen you make. Please come back to me. Regards Don
Are u from Manchester?
What about a air vent for your toilet so no gurgling? I'm trying to solve this problem & want to join one on the elbow due to limited access ??
He's already fitted a durgo valve inside in the void stack !!!
shouldn't you have some 4" in that elbow for the pan connector?
Yeah, fins on fins is not a good thing, sleeve with a bit of 110 soil.
I don’t normally reply on stuff like this. But you’re absolutely right. Small piece of four-inch to take up a proper seal.
I would defo sick a bit of 110mm in that socket, especially as it's gonna be concealed.
Was thinking that too.... and silicone on a strap on? Is that a thing now?
Yeah I usually do too, but changed method for this job to see if it will work. They're only down the road so any problems I'll know straight away. As it happens, all ok at the moment!
Was the toilet seat top fit........
Like how you talk so much about flexi friday, and then use flex connector for the toilet - in UK :D
Yeah I know mate! Sometimes you've just got too!
James or anyone that can help. I have water feeding back through to the toilet from the pipe that connects the toilet with soil pipe. We have a dirty brown coloured water in the toilet every morning. Thanks in advance
I have flexi that just pops off the spigot all the time, doesn’t inspire confidence😩
You always want lube on your rubber, Don't let anyone tell you any different.
I'd have to argue I save a lot more time fitting the occasional item twice than reading every instruction manual thats not to say you shouldn't. but further to that if you plan a job based on the spec sheet and instruction manual without actually physically inspecting the product, you are gonna have a lot of problems and a hard life.
Why not use a 4" tee with a 1 1/4" reducer for waste and soil instead of the strap on boss , 😉
Fairy liquid rots the rubber
👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼
So if your fooling around in the bathroom, lube your rubbers ribbed or another wise !
I job
why bodging a T-connector? You can buy the T factory-molded as a single plastic piece.. no leakage risk...
Cheaper aswell
Hi do you have a link to one of these please? Thanks

Are you talking about the boss? I don't really see what the leakage risk is anyway in that situation since it's top entry.
@@nobodydoesithalfasgoodasyou 1 ) you know that silicone doesnt stick to PP pipes? 2) you know what sewer gas is?
That setup is a pig if eventually the float valve leaks and needs replacing
