Thanks for the very helpful advice Nick. I used the new knowledge to rectify what our plumber didn’t do when refitting the bathroom. They just used sealant to glue the toilet to the floor!
Ahhhh the old silicon the toilet down trick, works for a couple of years but never a long term fix, get them brackets in!! Thanks for taking the time to give me some positivity I love it!
Hello Nick Taylor .Nice video . it is very helpful for those who are fixing the brackets on the floor as we do also have wall drained smart intelligent toilets fixing on the floor . We highly recommend your videos to our customers as well , Its awesome. Thanks for creating such videos . You have clearly explained and filmed it with accurate measurements. Keep going on ahead and wish you all the best .
Hi KLEENMAC, thanks for taking the time to write a nice and positive messege, I plan to keep uploading new content on a regular basis because I LOVE IT! If there’s a specific toilet you would like me to make a video for just let me know and we’ll cover it 👍
Thanks for the video. I'm not a plumber but fitted a few pans. I've seen other RUclipsrs not putting the floor fixing screw in the middle of the floor bracket (4.50 in your video) as they claim the bracket could move over time. They actually drill 2 new holes in the plastic bracket - what's your view on that?
Hi GrumpyGrampa, Thanks for your comment and if you haven't already please don't forget to like and subscribe. Im my experience I've never had the toilet brackets loosen over time using the method I've used in the video, I find a neat bead of silicon around the base / footprint of the toilet acts like glue and helps stick the toilet down, along with the toilet brackets the toilets not going anywhere. :)
I have an s trap toilet it's 195mm from the wall to the centre of the opening on the floor but all the new toilets say 80 to 180mm set out! What can I do to make it fit so I don't have a gap between the wall and cistern????
Our toilet is plumbed into the floor too, and this video helped me. Floor or wall, no difference really. The pan connector that comes with a floor mounted toilet is an L shape but it has the same connectors on each end
So simple … but so helpful ❤

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Shame the tiler didn't have the same attention to detail as you as the tiles were not centred in the space.
er....levelling up the pan?
😄
Our toilet is plumbed into the floor so this didn’t help
