I met The Jon when I competed in the Cape Town Showdown tournament in September. When I tell you that this guy was on point with EVERYTHING he did and is definitely one I'm expecting to take the tournament
@@thmistrapillay1811 I really prefer the Jon over Atif because he's cool as cucumber just like Arslan and Atif is kinda live wire he's dangerous and he likes taking revenge that sometimes gets on to his nerves.
@@benny720p yep I live in SA and during the tournament I even had the privilege to fight and get a few rounds on Book That's still the highlight of my tekken life🤌🔥
Even though its late, I have really enjoyed these videos. I myself was too busy working to even watch the EWC. Plus, the thing with Tekken content, IMO, is that the best and easily digested content, is tournament and educational. Its tough to just watch random online matches of any game unless you're heavily invested in said person. This is coming from someone who spent many years Watching Online Warrior episodes before Max went to Twitch. SO having Tournament matches be educational is a huge plus. I myself cannot wait for the TWT breakdowns in the coming weeks.
Keep it up man. This content is awesome and it's great that this type of content is being made finally for Tekken. Hopefully this helps grow the scene!
Also Ulsan has incredible timing of using rage art. It's like he can predict what the opponent will do and he countered it with RA. It gives psychological scare for the opponent and hesitates to give any opening when Ulsan hp reaches it, and that is when he gets brutal
Any chance of a video highlighting some up and comers in the regional boards. Allidar from Guam looks like he's making some waves against the pros. Equally plays Jun. Much love Phi! Thanks for all the informative videos!
Rooting for Atif, but yeah, he's been doing pretty badly post-EWC. Hope he's at better form for the finals, but I would not be surprised if he dropped out in the group phases.
if knee wins LCQ its going to be knee vs the jon grand finals mark my words, but the jon would win. i feel like no one can stop him, hes just too strong.
@khanali0 the jon? yea but if you look at the twt bracket who qualified already, who would win in your opinion? be honest with me here because im also not the jon fan at all, i think the top 20 if theres no khan, the jon would win it all, maybe other pakistani have a chance to beat him, but outside pakistani i just dont see it.
@@reishakyu3553 I am not even play Tekken but as a Pakistani I support ma boys but I really don't think Jon gonna win he may come top 8 at a loser bracket and that's it
He can. They hit because B4,2,1 is all guaranteed if the first counterhits. Also, there is a mindgame of "Will you take your frames after B4,2" since it's kinda of a gamble to finish the string. It hit because you have to be a little crazy to finish that string, and Atif can do crazy on occasion.
I feel like people underestimate P1 and P2 position. When I watched double live he was so strong on one side and had this playstyle which he didnt have on the other side. They should make it that every tournament players can play on their favorite side so that we really get to see who is better when both players are in their prime side. I feel like players that start on a side which they dont like, they start the match behind and not as confident. I see players practising their bad side to get better. But in my opinion its like if you are right handed, no matter how good and strong you get with your left hand, it will never reach the confidence level of the right hand. I hope what I said made sense. Correct me if im wrong pls.
it makes sense but how can every tournament player play on there favorite side? they do heads or tails or winner gets to choose side i dont know but if both players prefer left one will always be on the ''wrong'' side the tournament cannot ensure everyone is on their favorite side?
@@astralshockwave no probably not. want to see either old legacy names that haven't won anything in T8 like JDCR,KNEE, Qudans or other good players like yagami, keisuke, Tekken master.

21:15 Phi going through 4 different emotions in the span of 5 seconds🤣good stuff
Just hit Fujin with my main Leroy in my first tekken! 🎉
Good job, you’ll be Tekken king before you even notice
This is my first tekken too. I hit fujin with my main Claudio since then I never touched rank because fujin was my goal.
Congrats brother
Welcome!

this didn't age well with farzeen's yoshi lol
@ahmada56 I guarantee you not in a million years that he ever expected Farzeen to pick yoshi. Lmao 🤣
Are we really going to just overlook the "Oh, my goodness! He's in the rear!"? LOL
I really want to see you as an official commentator for Tekken Championships, you are so good at this! Tasty Steeve, step aside! :D
Seeing Knee's improvement... it would've been interesting to see how he could've performed in this tournament...
Maybe he can still beat the lcq xb
He is done and finished. This game is not for him
6 cups of coffee? That explains the twitching during interviews.
That explains a lot, actually. Bro plays like he's on crack and looks jittery as hell. Now I know why. 😂
I watched these live but i still appreciate ur input n perspective phi!
Phi sitting here talking like he isnt the only tekken content that i actually pay attention to
This is dragunov tour finals. Also looks like Knee is done with tekken 8
i watch your videos as if its my job
Man that was sick! I'm learning so much from watching these vids thanks man!
Best T8 content by far. Don't let miserable people convince you otherwise.
Great vid as always
LOVE THE PHIDX GRIND KEEP IT UP
feels like you big brained this by waiting until the last minute to do these videos. now im hyped and ready on the day the day of the finals
Bigger brain would've been planning a more sustainable schedule 🤣 I'm glad you enjoyed it
anyone here after farzeen yoshi vs ulsan 💀

Its prob gonna be nina vs drag tbh

Hoping we get to hear your thoughts on Double vs The Jon. What a match.
Second channel!!
Here to drop my designated +1 for Phi
Ngl you the reason why I’ve decided to grind this game out I always wanted to be a pro in this franchise😭
Here after watching Farzeen put Ulsan to LCQ by 2-0 using Yoshi. It was insane
Y'all ready for Dragunov world tour
If Double could duck some of those Drag strings that end with a high. He would've had a chance

when you go to japan phi for lcq???
I'm not going, got content to make 😎
only Drag players i care about is Nobi and JDCR
Is Knee playing at all? In any group?
He has to go through the LCQs. He didn't make it to the regional leaderboards either.

As a Jin main I stand for Jin players to win this tournament
I bet on Ulsan and Ash
👍
Drag is so boring to watch at this point I don't care how good you are at tekken.
OMG Ulsan is toying with him. That must be traumatising for Yagami.
Atif is a seasoned online warrior with the rage arts in mash lol
I'm excited to see jimmys bryan again and i hope he can fight knee.
Is he participating???
@arsalrana9568 yup
Funny how none of them won. The bear won at the end. It should have been ulsan instead of Atif 😢.
joka arslan farzeen atif or the jon will win the tournament in my opinion
why are some of your recent thumbnails numbered from 2-10 but it goes from teaching max tekken to TWT stuff
Just happened to intersect where I left off
Not gonna lie, don't know what I feel about ft5 format. Seems unnecessary excessive.
They should just do the regular ft3 with a loser bracket.
Ft5 is more hype imo, allows time for downloads and comebacks like Yagami did to Chanel
Dragunov makes the competitive scene boring to watch ngl.
I’m gonna bet on arslan
Ulsan is out💀
Phidx for commentary pls
Can it please not be Arslan or atif or Uslan. I want to see an unexpected underdog to win the whole thing. For the sake of seeing other winners
King Rey jr? Lol
My boy low high gonna win the tournament watch!
YES PLEASE YAGAMI or THE JON

Only on heat engage.
Oh I guess this is previous patch nvm.
Old patch!
He said old patch in the video are we not watching
This is what made the team say "ok maybe we should take that away 😅"
You have to be a good player to make a Dragunov match look hype. I usually find watching his matches very boring.
Yagami PRAYGE (of course trash tier-sexual wins again...)
Atif is not looking good 😢.
I'll be surprise if he wins
I can't see this russian mf anymore. As hype as the evo kuni vs kuni tournament🥱
