    You should talk about what needles you need to do quilting or embroidering different materials like cloth vs baseball cap. Also how do you change your thread in the middle of an embroidery project if you run out.

    • @BoricuaSewingCrafts
      @BoricuaSewingCrafts  2 года назад

      Hi Jessie. During the Happy Hour videos I refer folks to the following document. This document is really handy. Recommend printing it out and keeping it near. It will tell you what needle size and stabilizer to use for a particular type of fabric. www.emblibrary.com/el/elprojects/pdf/pr1153.pdf
      When running out of thread in the middle of embroidering. I cut the thread, put in the new spool, back stitch about 10 spots and then continue with the embroidery.

    Thanks for this video. Received the hat hoop for Xmas. Followed along with the video. Only issue I have is after the last stitch of each color the machine moves the needle out further than the edge of the design and then back to where the next color is to start. The foot gets stuck on the edge of the brim and frame and there is a gear grinding noise that totally messes up where center is. I work around by resetting up position and stitch count to where I need it to start. Is there a way to get the machine to move to the next color start without that big move? I am using the hat hoop setting. I don’t want to mess up my machine!

    • @BoricuaSewingCrafts
      @BoricuaSewingCrafts  10 месяцев назад

      You have to make sure to flatten out the hat as much as possible. This is easier to do with unstructured hats. Structure hats are more challenging.

    • @idakelsey8682
      @idakelsey8682 10 месяцев назад

      @@BoricuaSewingCrafts Thank you for the quick response. Maybe if I don’t push the brim of the baseball hat in so far I won’t have to move the design so low. sorry I don't want a monthly payment for that program :( the free version lasts for only a month?

    • @BoricuaSewingCrafts
      @BoricuaSewingCrafts  2 года назад

      Hi Barbara. Embrilliance isn't a monthly subscription. You for the product once and you get the updates to the program for free. Not sure if the free version is only good for a month, I believe you can use it longer than that. However the free version isn't the full Essentials program. I recommend reading up on it on the website.

    Now I know there is no money to be made in embroidering ball caps on a regular home embroidering machine. It just takes to long using the hoop. It took about 1 hour to complete. A commercial embroidering machine would be faster and more profitable if you're looking to make hats to sell. But this was a good video none the less. Thank you.

    • @BoricuaSewingCrafts
      @BoricuaSewingCrafts  Год назад

      Yes. If you are selling a bunch of hats you will definitely want a bigger machine to handle that for sure. It’s much easier and faster.

    • @BoricuaSewingCrafts
      @BoricuaSewingCrafts  3 года назад

      Yes. I cost about $130.00 for Embrillance Essentials. I choose this software because it's easy to use and I use a MAC. Other programs are designed to work with Windows only.
