Thanks for showing us the complete unedited video. The best teachers show you how to repair real world mistakes without needing to toss your work or start over if possible.
Thank you for understanding. You don’t really understand how anything works unless you can trouble shoot and problem solve when you run into issues. That’s life. Always something. Either you work threw it or you ball up in a corner and quit and blame everyone else. We don’t quit over here. 👍🏾🙏🏾🙌🏾
You make me hopeful. I’m at home recovering from cancer treatment and can’t go back to work but I need to do something. After watching your videos I decided to make the jump and start my own business. I was blessed in that some friends gifted me my Brother SE700. Without their help I couldn’t even start learning. 😊
I once heard "you are not learning if you're not making mistakes" and come to think of it, it is true! We learn from our mistakes. Thank you for the great embroidery tutorial
Mannn I was fighting with the beanie last night. Had to practice breathing. Finally got it then the design was way too big. Going back at it today. Thanks for the the old and new vids. They still help. HAPPY 2023
I just wanna say as a learning newbie I appreciate the unedited realness of this video showing the mistakes and how to fix in real time is very much appreciated by all. Thank you so much!
I love this tutorial. Quite a few lessons learned. Keep my embroidery scissors near because the threaad stitiched the foot to the fabric. Use clips because the fabric adjusted and the end of the hat got stiched into the design. 3 hats and and me tryibg to figure out why the outline stich is not aligned. I realized i did not use water soluble stablizer. Now the stiched align. ❤thanks❤
This is by far one of my favorite videos on Beanies. Thank you so much. I just purchased a Brother SE1900 and I’m ready to start embroidering things here and there. I got the machine basically for my brand labels. But you gave me a cute Beanie Idea for girls. Thanks for such a wonderful video. Made my day.

I’m thankful that you show the mistakes....THANK YOU 🙏 not only does it make you better, but it also makes us better....I am a crafter at heart ❤️ crochet 🧶 knitting ( well a little knitting 😊) sewing 🧵 I too have a brother embroidery machine and finally launched my crafting business this year yayyy several years ago the Lord told me that my prosperity was in my hands...I would always sew and make things here and there for myself....and others would ask me to make them something as well..... but this year A Dubb.....it’s on and popping. I have hats & scarves, socks, T-shirts (honestly still learning on those, but did have a order of 17 shirts for a fifty and fabulous bd party huge success) made and ready for purchase...I have a brother embroidery machine as well...innovis 2800D. You just motivated me to use it more...thank you so much I enjoy watching you...I just recently found you but I am a new fan thanks for showing your flaws that’s great. Sow’n Seeds of Luv (my business name) Toni💖
You made this look so easy. You really sell that Brother embroidery machine how easy you make the projects look. I’m glad I found your channel. I think I’m gonna purchase this machine. Thanks again.
Just wanted to say , I had some trouble trying to do this on a beanie hat this evening , almost gave up and watched a few videos before this one that didn’t help at all , this one made it really easy . Thanks mate , I owe you one
No problem. Glad I could help. Just hit that subscribe button and get a few other people to subscribe. 🤣🤣 trying to get to 100k. Thanks for watching David.
Thanks for that video I appreciate the time you took and I will be trying to do this one myself. I have a Janome Memory Craft 400 E .. I love the humbleness and your willingness to show your flaws it’s encouraging
I like your attitude on how you share your knowledge and your mistakes. We all do! Keep sharing and thank you for that!! You're inspiring a lot of people.
You are too great to do this. I love that you show your mistakes instead of just saying "this could happen." It really brings it home. Doing beanies like a champ thank you soo much for your videos!
I think you did a good job I like how you talk can understand you compared to a bunch of the other ones I'm an old 65 year old guy going to add it to my screen printing and sublimation to help with my retirement
My new SE600 gets delivered tomorrow. 1000% new to this, but been following many of your videos. I also purchased Embrilliance Stitch 1 so I can digitize my PS prints. Been following many others and quite grateful for you and others for the great tutorials
You did a fantastic job! I have a Brother SE-400 , but I just ordered the Brother PE-800...I'm so excited! I just got my husband a robe made out of waffled material. I wanted to put his initials on but I couldn't get the embroidery machine to do right because the embroidery foot kept hanging up in the material. You gave me the idea of trying it again with the water- soluble tear away stabilizer! Thanks so much for sharing this!
Thanks I have had my se 600 for about 2 years . I’ve went through many trials and tribulations . It felt great finding your videos they’ve truly helped a lot . Thanks
A-Dubb University for win.... thanks from a newbie... starting out with a PE 535 that I purchased last week. I've been watching you for about 9 mo. now and you have inspired me.
Great video THANKS A LOT! I used to stitch labels on my beanies, now I know I can embroider and personalise them! I love your honesty about mistakes and how to fix them..rare quality on social media platforms!! Thanks a lot as I'm learning HUGE AMOUNT OF INFO by watching your videos!
That, is a good look'n hat you got there in your video bud. I appreciate you for the real talk. ✌ I grew up with a heavy sewing/cross-stitch/embroidery influence from my Mom and now I'm picking it up as a hobby. but the more I get into it, (the video tutorials I watch) the more I get overwhelmed..😵 But you are correct, I am gonna make some mistakes, I am gonna fall up the stairs, it won't be pretty the first time around, but its all a struggle, I gotta learn to handle the basics, and I gotta just get back up and keep going 😇 Thank you,
I’m actually just starting embroidery on my machine the Husqvarna Designer Ruby 90. It’s a birthday Christmas gift from my sister and mother. So I have been watching lots videos. And I have to say that I really loved your thinking insight. You are going to be a successful person in all you do because you’re not afraid to show mistakes because that’s the way we grow. And I really enjoyed the way you were teaching, thank you!!
Love your entire video! Learned how to hoop a beanie, even though I own a different machine. Water soluble stabilizer, if you lightly wet it, it comes off way easier and stitches are safer, the left over stabilizer can be used to pat the wet stabilizer off the design. Im glad you use it though! First video I see that it's used in! 😂
Thank you for sharing your knowledge with us. I appreciate your honesty and genuine personality by showing mistakes. In my opinion, the more you show, the better it gets in my head how to do this. You are a real and genuine person! Thank you I just got the SE600, do you have a video telling us what supplies we need to buy to get started? Thanks
Love your presentation. Very comprehensive. I find your acceptance of errors refreshingly. I am fairly new and was getting frustrated because of my mistakes. Others say my work looks good but I saw errors. Keep up the good work and encouragement.
Thank you so much for this great tutorial. I have looked at so many videos and found it hard to follow because steps were left out. My logos have been printing upside down and I know exactly how to fix it now. Thanks A Dubb!
Great video and "Happy Belated Thanks to the Lord Day"! Being positive makes it easy and admitting you don't know everything makes a great business owner. I watch others as well for all types of craft ideas; sewing and embroidery (a super way to learn) and I'm finding out so many different and effective ways to do things. Believe you me, learning is a process and we positive folks want to grow in the right direction. Keep throwing out those "not-so-perfect" videos. They truly help us all!
This was great! Thanks for the inspiration and also showing the wrong way--I totally would have done that--I put a pin at the top because I was pretty sure I would do the same thing anyway--it is counterintuitive.
Hi A-dubb! I love your channel it's been super inspiring. I would really love to see a "embroidery beginner" video which goes over all the things you need to buy for your first machine and maybe comparing a few software (from inexpensive to the one you use, I looked it up and man I don't make that kind of money lol!).
This is great! Love your message! I work similarly as you…. Jump in, make mistakes, make adjustments and learn from others. Thanks for sharing your videos
That is the thing that impressed me was you show the mistakes. I teach embroidery and that is the first statement I make if there is a mistake to make I have done it so don't stress we all do it.. Keep up the great work. Glad to see you are going to a multi needle machine too. I have both type of machines. A tip is find a sewing buddy it makes it a lot more fun..
Thank you for your videos I learn so much and especially when you make mistakes because when I mess up I go straight to your videos that’s how I learn thank you for so much God Bless you and be safe
love what you were sharing about how you were speaking about sharing the mistakes.. and how everything isn't perfect! ah been struggling before launching my embroidery business - feeling like "wtheck am i doing, is this all worth it?" but I have trust, and thank you so much for portraying realness and your passion!!
What tension do you have it on for beanies i have my tension on 2 for my sweaters and hoodies for my Pes designs that i got digitized ive also never used water soluble does this make the stiching more solid? Do you use it for clothing aswell?
You can use chalk and make a directional mark on your hat before you fix the hat to the ring. Example: write "this face up" That way you know if the hat is installed incorrectly before you even start the embroidering process.
My Baby Lock Spirit is sweet. It’s the big sister to Brother machines. It automatically cuts MOST jump stitches. Sometimes that drives me nuts. It makes a lot of machine noise.
My first machine was like this but it was called PE770. Loved it. After 2 1/2 years, I sold it. Now I have a single needle. but it’s a little more “slick”. So, I’m in my 9th year embroidering. I also sew and do a little Cricut. So tomorrow I’m going to attempt my first beanie. I am 65 and have a pixie hair cut, but I don’t care! Thanks for your super great lesson!!! I’ll let you know! Are you on FB? I can send a pic. I’m going to try a Grinch, maybe. (I was going to make a patch and glue it on.)

I found that using a large hardcover book to push on the hoop helps close it easily because it can put pressure on all four corner at the same time
Great idea!
Great tip

Any special adjustments made for tension on the machine?

This was really helpful and I can't wait to try embroidering a beanie. Any recommendations on where to get quality blank beanies? Thanks!

Thanks for your real stitch out.
Very nice indeed !!
Thanks very nice refresher
Great vid! Thanks for sharing! 👍
Great advice! Only I forgot to flip it and now I have my image upside down. Now like you didn’t warn me!!
It’s valuable to make those mistakes now so you don’t make them when a customer gives you a hat to embroider on. Good stuff. 🙏🏾👍🏾
Great job.. was wanting to try a beanie on my Janome memory craft 500e .. I do appreciate you showing mistakes.. thank you
Love your realness! Enjoyed watching and learning from your mishap not mistake. ;)
Omg I can't take it. .. lol.... Your intro is THE BEST
My Baby Lock Spirit is sweet. It’s the big sister to Brother machines. It automatically cuts MOST jump stitches. Sometimes that drives me nuts. It makes a lot of machine noise.

What do I think? I think you're great, your videos are great and realistic. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, time and effort.
thank you for this video im excited to get one now knowing I can make beanies!
Awesome. No problem. Thank you much for watching. Don’t forget to use my affiliate link when you get your machine. se1900 amzn.to/3if0FcT
appreciate This !! going too give this a try . Thank you
Great video Allan!👏🏽 What was the Tension set to please? Thanks A Million!!👑❤🥰
I have the PE770 and 🤯, what you did to hoop that beanie 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
I wonder if others have this problem with acrylic beanies. Use a practice beanie to get tension right. Then embroider a logo onto beanie and it comes out great. Hoop another beanie the same way. Embroider it out and tension issues abound. See some bobbin thread on right side and eventually I'll lower tension. Does not improve stitch out. Is this the stretchy material or me.
This is a great video! Thank you so much for sharing!!
No problem Kylie. That you for watching.
Un buen video. I learn too much. Iam going to make one to.my grandchild. I understand every word you say although hou speak fast. Spanish is my first languave. Thanks. Hasta la vista.
