Romero what commerical embroidery machine did you decide to go with? I was thinking about the pr1055x, since everything I have is Brother brand, learning the design space and knowing how to work the machine would be easier for me so I just stick with Brother. Happy Thanksgiving
Hi, quick question I’m not seen a 70 ballpoint needle for the brother PR 655 that you’re referring to in this video for embroidering on beanies. Can you tell me what I should look for when purchasing this type of needle for my brother 6 needle machine
As always, thank you for your informative and instructive videos. I really appreciate them, and I have learned alot! Could you please tell me where you purchased your beanies?
@@RomeroThreads Thank you! I’ll be sure to check’em out. And although this isn’t the respective video, thanks for the Etsy fee breakdown and the ordering samples videos!!! I have always shied away from Etsy. Using it as a springboard to get myself noticed never crossed my mind🤦🏽♀️As for the samples, I began ordering them right away. As always, much gratitude for sharing this knowledge. You are greatly appreciated🙏🏾
Love your videos! I'm learning a ton from you! I kinda adapt your process to my machine...I have the Janome 550E. It's letting me do tons on it though! 😂
You said these are your favorite beanies to work with, can you please tell us the name of the company and how to purchase them in bulk? Maybe you could even do a video on how you purchase all your blanks? I would definitely watch and love all your videos. Thank you for putting out so much information. Have a wonderful day and keep making videos!
Hello, thank you for the comment. I buy my beanies at SSActivewear. Good thing about SS, is there are no minimums. You do have to have a resale license, and create an account.
Awesome, thank you!!! Also, what size ballpoint needle do you use for beanies? I am looking at 70/10 jersey ballpoint. Will that work for beanies? And can I pair that with regular 40wt thread?? Thanks so much, you are very informative and inspirational.
I never see ricoma machine listed when trying purchase off hoopmaster.. which company or machine it compatible to the ricoma machine.. thank u for the videos you've helped me so much with ur detailed videos
Thanks for the message. This is the link here, scroll down and you will see Ricoma. Select eith TJ360 for your 14” hoops or your 23.75 for your bigger giant hoops. If anything, you can always call them to verify and be 100% sure, thanks. hoopmaster.com/ref/Romero/
Thank you for sharing Romero. is the knockdown stitches the same as apply offset. And the knockdown stitches is from the digitizing of the design. I hope you understand what I mean.
Great tutorial, thanks! I prefer Flex Fit beanies, I’ve found the high quality perfect for my customers! I’d love to hear what your favorite beanies are Romero! Thanks!
So you turn the beanie inside out first, tag in back and then you embroider the design facing you in the opposite side? I always get this confused. Thanks
Yes, can be confusing at first. What you can do is wear the beanie correct on your head, and place a piece of tape on the side to be embroidered, write the letter "F". Use that as your reference so when you hoop it, you can confirm the direction of your design. Hope that helps.
I have a pretty complicated design that I’m trying to put on these beanies. I’ve had it digitized by two different people and it’s still not stitching out correctly. Do you offer embroidery services that I can send my file to you for you to do it because what’s your do when it’s totally different than what either of the other places have tried and I think that’s why it’s not working.
Hi Ever, I want to thank you for the great content and for sharing your knowledge with the rest of us. My wife and I are starting on this embroidery venture, needless to say, we are very greenie and learning a lot. Not only we learn but also saved on the shipping on the mighty hoop started kit and infant setup. Do you have planned to make a video on how to design and digitize the beanie in the computer? I’d be interested to learn about creating the base for the embroidery. Cheers. Thank you for your service!
We don't accept customer blanks, we use Yupoong beanies or any beanies from our vendors. One time, somebody tried to have us embroider on a very cheap beanie material and from there on we said "No Way".
This doesn't work for most machines because you would end up sewing the front to the back. You can't just slide the beanie over the hoop without moving the back away from the sewing area
That's great information, Never seen the Snab nabit! crazy tool for the box
Glad it was helpful!
your instructions are very clear and the heads-up on the needles is great.
Thanx for sharing. A lot of ur information is helpful. When you have a flatbed embroidery machine no mighty hoop not a lot of tutorials.
Again, thank you for your knowledge. Always look forward to your videos.
I can't thank you enough for being a newbie in the embroidery business your videos have been inspirational
Thank you for the comment, much appreciated.
Congratulations on your new truck! I just ordered some mighty hoops I used your code to get free shipping thank you I appreciate it.
Thank you, Im sure your going to love your Mighty Hoops.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge. You are very helpful and a great teacher when it comes to embroidery.
Thank you for the comment. Im glad the videos help.
you make that look easy..and I know it isn't. Now I have to knit a hat to try this technique. Nab nabit...OMG
I found the beanies on bulk apparel for 3.85 instead of $12 on Amazon 😁yes it’s the same exact beanie.
Thank you for all of your wisdom. I have never heard of snag nabbiit but I have personal shirts that I need that for!!!

How did you choose the center point on the beanie? Is it just a standard measurement from the bottom or does it depend on your design?

@romerothread I measured my hoop that came with machine at 15.5 inches.. I'm I still choosing the one u suggesting or the ch400
Yea, looks like it matches the ch400.
Thank you for sharing Romero. is the knockdown stitches the same as apply offset. And the knockdown stitches is from the digitizing of the design. I hope you understand what I mean.
The knock down stitch is an open cross stitch. I just made a note to myself to make a quick video on how I design in the program. Thanks.
Great tutorial, thanks! I prefer Flex Fit beanies, I’ve found the high quality perfect for my customers! I’d love to hear what your favorite beanies are Romero! Thanks!
Thanks for the message. Yes Flex Fit beanies are labeled under the Yupoong brand. Those are my go to beanies, excellent quality.
I just use dressmakers chalk to mark?

Pardon my ignorance, but did you put the beanie inside out?In order to get the lettering, right
Yes, inside out. I also place a tape w/ the letter F, to make sure the design is facing correctly.

Is there a ball point needle for the multi needle machine?
could you add the link to the beanies.. please!!!! thank you
Hello, I just added the link in the description. They have other colors, but the black is sold out everywhere.
Ever, just curious. I went to Amazon following your link to the beanies. How do you make a profit buying $10.00 beanies.
The 1st link is using Amazon (retail price), I buy my beanies w/ the 2nd link using SS activewear.
@@RomeroThreads Even though I don’t really have a business, At least not yet, I have a business license. Thanks for the info.
What was the thread density of this beanie?
What weight of cutaway do you use on your beanies? 1.5 or 2.5?
2.5 oz
How to create a nap blocker and how do I stitch it out on my em1010 what features would I use
Hello, I talk about how to do it in this Saturdays live class, good question and good topic, thanks.
@@RomeroThreads Hello you are on your A game. How can I view this past live? I would love to learn knock down stitch digitizing from you.

Good video thanks
Hello, how far up from the bottom of the beanie should you mark your mid point?
You want to go as high as possible. You can print a sample of your artwork and verify before stitching.
Thanks man 🙏🏾
Where do you purchase your beanies ?
SS Active Wear
@RomeroThreads what is the style number of this particular beanie in the video.
Hello there do you have a link to purchase beanies plz
I just put the link in the description. I put an Amazon link and a 2nd link to the vendor we use.
Thank you

What size is your hoop pls?
5.5x5.5 with the freestyle base
Thank you for all the great information, it is so helpful !
What knife is that?
This is what I use to cut stabilizer:
Fiskars Rotary Cutter, Titanium: amzn.to/3I8aFFd
This doesn't work for most machines because you would end up sewing the front to the back. You can't just slide the beanie over the hoop without moving the back away from the sewing area
Should be good w/ a multi needle machine. Yes, a flat bed single needle is different.
