Embroidering on sweatpants is exactly the same as embroidering on a sweatshirt, it’s the same fabric so you do it just like I did it in this video. You are however limited to the areas you can embroider on but the actual embroidery method is the same.

Thank you so much for your videos I have a brother pe525 that I've had for a couple of years unfortunately because of the fear of downloading software and making mistakes I've only used it a handful of times but in the last week I've used it approximately 6 times thanks to your videos! just curious do you know the difference between the pe525 and the PE 600 is it the Hoops can't find a comparison chart thanks in advance

Does the tension number depend on how the design was digitized? I use 4.0 tension on sweatshirts but I watch your videos and you usually use 1.8 so i wasn’t sure if i should switch over my tension

at random times my bobbin thread always jams up underneath but ive followed your threading videos and inserted them properly (both bobbin and upper) w the same tension you put. HELP!!
Hi your videos have been helping me out tremendously, however I came across a problem that can’t seem to find the solution anywhere. The needle is cutting straight through the stabilizer 😣 I don’t know what I’m doing wrong. I appreciate any answers :-) thank you

If you don’t mind me asking what do you recommended for the speed for it and any other settings to change for a sweatshirt? Did mine and the smaller lettering looks a little jumbled could have been the tension not being 1.8 like you said I had it at 4 default

Man your channel is a heaven sent brother I want you to know you’re cutting up with the informative videos. I just have a question since I am new to the machine and embroidery as a whole. Can I use any digitized file to embroider on the brother or does is strictly have to come from the brother embroidery software? Thanks in advance
Most if not all embroidery software can export the proper file format for all the different brand machines. For these single needle brothers machines you need a .pes format.

Can you use another program to digitize the artwork
You can use what ever program you’d like along as it exports the file type for your machine.
So I use procreate on a iPad and I would like to know if I can transfer the design from the iPad to the machine?
I’ve never used procreate but the answer is definitely no. Images have to be digitized before and embroidery machine can embroider them. Procreate/ photoshop, in design and other image creation and manipulation products produce images. Images have no stitch or thread information in the files. You need digitizing software to digitize the image to be embroidered. I use chroma luxe. Here is my affiliate link if you’d like to look into it. Ricoma SHOP link

You need a digitizing program

Just regular 100% cotton on sale at JoAnne fabrics.
Can the pe800 do more complex designs?
Yes. As complex as you can design it can embroider. The complexity is up to you.
How big is of a design are you able to do with this machine?

No. For a standard sweatshirt a needle change isn’t required. Maybe if the image had super small lettering but not for this image.

You are doing the right thing by educating yourself on the equipment before you purchase it. Try to think of a few ways you can use your machine to make back your investment. Maybe even get someone who has the machine to make something for you to have as a sample to show people before you get the machine to see if they are potential customers. You are going to be fine. Stay focused learn the tech and be consistent.

I lowered the tension because it looked like my stitches were to tight.
You always set your tension at around 2?
Yes I do. It really depends on how you digitize. This works the best for the setting I use when I digitize.

I received my Pe800 yesterday, it’s my first time doing embroidery, and the needle keeps breaking!! (Tension is 1,8) and I was doing a sweatshirt embroidery

A protection plan never hurts but ai didn’t get it and I wouldn’t get it but it doesn’t hurt to have peace of mind. I wouldn’t get it though. That just me. Thank you for using my link also. I appreciate that. But I’d keep the extra in my pocket. It should have a manufacturer warrantee. I’ve never had anything break on my se600 and I’ve had that for over two years. I’ve even half way taken it apart to oil it when it started to squeak which they don’t suggest you do but now that I did it it runs like new again. Idk. I wouldn’t get the warrantee but you honestly can’t go wrong with a warrantee just incase you drop it or spill a bowl of cereal i guess. Things happen. Lol

What's the best setting to embroider a sweatshirt?
I wish I could answer that question but I can’t. It really depends on how it was digitized. The settings I use are for files that I digitize. If a digitized added more pull compensation to the file while digitizing i would change the machine settings. All files are not the same and all digitizers digitize differently. The only way to really find out what works best for the file you are working on is to just embroider it.
