Wonderful job. The little mistakes really help so I can self correct when I encounter them myself. Don't worry about editing them out. Looking forward to the next one. Thanks so much.
Glad you enjoyed the video!
Boricua, thank you so much, I purchased my SE1900 about 2 weeks ago and your channel is the first channel that I found actually helps. I was like finally someone that cares about the little people that just don't get it. I am happy to learn with you. Your videos are so detailed and you offer so many different tools that the book doesn't offer. Thank you so so much.
Welcome aboard! So glad to hear the videos are a great help. Enjoy your SE1900. It's a wonderful machine!
I read the manual first, then watched your video and I haven't received the machine yet (in transit now) LOL! Thank you, now I know how the machine runs. This is my second embroidery machine and so excited! And you have a wonderful helper (your son)!
Yuchan Thanks! It's a great machine. You are going to love it! There is a lot to learn but after you get it, it's fun!
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts I also read in manual about a marker (line) on the spinning wheel...! I'm wondering if the automatic threader only works if the marker is in upright position? Same with threading needle.... Normally when you thread, the needle has to be at highest position and this spinning wheel has a marker for easy reference - sweet!
This has been 100% helpful. Thank you so much.
Thank you so much for uploading this tutorial. I watched this video before and after buying my machine and it helped tremendously. I'm a visual learner so this video was a life saver, on top of reading the manual!
KP You are welcome! I'm so glad that it helped! Enjoy your machine!
Thank you for the tutorial. I look forward to purchasing a Brother 1900. It is a fine product.
Joanne, you are going to love it! It's my favorite machine.
Love this video. You really explained a lot. And pushed all the buttons so we could see what they do. Thank you
You are so welcome!
Thank you so much! Your videos have been soooo helpful and i appreciate it so much
You are so welcome!
You are phenomenal.
Thank you!
Thanks for the tips
You bet
Thank you for the SE 1900 videos. I just received my machine this week, and I was putting off opening it until the weekend because I don't have time to study the manual until then. I feel more confident after watching your videos. You've saved me a bunch of time working through the manuals.
It's been 3 years since you posted on this video. How has your embroidery journey been since you got started? You still using the SE 1900?
thank you very much for your video :)
I got this machine 2 years ago and have been too intimidated to use it until now.
Hi Finn, Glad I could help! Don't be afraid of the machine. Once you learn the features you will truly enjoy using it!
I’m researching which machine to buy. Thank you so much for this video. Thorough explanations and great step by step instructions. Love your sense of humor.
Thanks!
I appreciate this so much ! I just got mines and was on a hunt to find a video who has the brother 1900. Thanks for the video !
I'll be sure to do more videos. You are going to love your machine!
Thank you for another great and helpful video! Since buying my machine three days ago, I've only been sewing. I'm going to try out the embroidery today. I'm a little nervous though lol.
You can do this! It's really fun and you will love it! Just try it with one of their designs to see how it goes.
I want to thank you more than words can express. I bought my SE1900 months ago and left it in the box because I was afraid to try to figure it out. After watching this video, along with some of your others, I unboxed it, threaded it, and successfully made my first project. Your videos are awesome - keep 'em coming!!!!
OMG That is so awesome! I'm so glad that the videos are helping you enjoy your new machine! Have fun with it!!! I still enjoy mine! Happy Holidays!!!
You should not pull your threads back out like that. You should cut them and pull them down and out. It can cause some problems later. 😀
Great videos Jeanette! I love how supportive your family is with filming you! Kudos to hubby and son! I just got my SE1900 this week and your instruction have REALLY helped me! Blessings and keep them coming.
Thank you so much!
I did it! First embroidery project after buying my machine in March. Question. I can see my bobbin thread coming up in the topstitch. Normally I would loosen the topstitch and tighten the bobbin. How do you do this when embroidering?
Hi Jennifer! I did a video on how to adjust your tension for embroidery. It's not hard to fix. Enjoy your machine!
I keep breaking my needles when embroidering with this machine. I am embroidering mainly sweatshirts, do you have any recommendations? I’m using schmetz gold embroidery needles. I am having a lot of trouble and any help would be helpful!
Hi Maria, I use Organ Needles. Size 75/11. There is an article that can help you with ensuring you are using the right stabilizer and needle size. Google, " Fabrics 101 Stabilizer & Design Guide". This will provide you more information. Also make sure you are installing the needle correctly and tighten it well. This can cause needles to break as well.
Hello thank you for all your video appreciate it soo much.. but i have questions what do you think is the problem my Auto-threader wont go down all the way😍🙏thank you!
Hi Printswearshop. I have a video on my channel that talks about the auto-threader and ways to fix it. Recommend checking it out. It will help.
I am waiting for delivery of my innovis NV2650D but cant really find any vids on them but I'm hoping it's quite similar to this one you have used in the vid. Love your videos.. x
Hi Michelle. I believe the machines are similiar.
Could you please tell me what embroidery thread to purchase on Amazon that coordinates with the numbers in the diagram and booklet that came with the se1900?
I purchase the embrilliance program so I want it coordinating also
@@marcellarodriguez7955 Hi. I purchased the Simthread 63 Embroidery Set. You can find this set on Amazon.
I just got my machine and watched this video, I’m wondering if your supposed to change the needle from sewing to embroidery? Nothing was mentioned
Hi Linda. Yes. When you are embroidery it's best to use a size 71/11 needle.
What a great tutorial for those like me who just got a SE1900! Thank you. My machine came with a case of prewound white bobbins. As a newbie to embroidery I have to ask, do you always use white thread for the bobbin when embroidering?
Hi Maria! It depends on what you are embroidering. If I am doing a towel then I like to use the same color thread for the button as the top thread because folks usually see the towel on both sides. That is the only time I use the color thread for the bobbin. I love using the prewound bobbins. At first I thought it was wasting money. But after trying them I feel they work so better and last longer. So now I buy prewound bobbins.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Thanks for your answer. I'm converting to prewound bobbins on your recommendation. Do you use the same thread for regular sewing or is there something else you can suggest? What weights do you use for embroidery or sewing and do you have a favorite brand? Thanks so much.
@@Maria-md9gy I use Polyester thread because it is stronger. I noticed the others break more easily. I use 40 weights on the embroidery thread. I started with a set of 63 Brother Embroidery thread. The problem I ran into with this brand is that it's really hard to find individual replacement thread. So I google a color conversion chart and started getting Sulky Rayon. I started purchasing my bobbins from Allstitch.com. They are pretty good. I plan on getting some of the thread they sell. I want to try Maderia Polyneon. There are lots of different brands out there. So I am still searching for my favorite.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Jeanette, You've given me great pointers to go on. I'm watching all your videos. You are so much fun and down to earth. Thank you for answering all my questions.
@@Maria-md9gy aww... thanks Maria! I just like keeping things nice and simple. My goal is to try to make things easier for the viewers and also learn as well.
Thank you!
I’ve had this machine for 3 months & after watching your video I finally got the courage to try the Embroidery. Looking forward to all of your videos.
Glad I could help! Stay Brave! You can do this!!!
Really appreciate your effort along with your husband and son who help you record, their patience is very admirable. You guys are the best! Thank you for the detailed instructions.
Do you have a video on how exactly to put the thread in? In kinda looks like you swoop it throughout multiple parts of the machine
Hi Layla I can make a video on this.
I’ve only had my 1900 for a few weeks but you have helped me tremulously!!! Thank you!! Do you know if this machine supports a hat hoop?
Hi Tonya, Yes it does. That will be my next video! I just brought a hat from Walmart and I can on showing the hat hoop I purchased from an Etsy shop. It makes it so much easier. I plan on doing this video this week!
Thank you so much for taking the time to show me how to embroider with my new machine! Thanks to your hubby, too. He did a great job focusing on what you were describing. You make a great team! I really appreciate people like you who take the time to teach people like me who love to learn by watching.
You are so welcome!
The robot is cute.Thank you for sharing. I learned about the grid.
I’m running into the issue that my thread keeps breaking every 10 seconds. Can someone help. I tried everything I found on the internet and it’s still breaking :( maybe someone has another tip
Recommend posting the issue on the Facebook group. In your post list the items you have tried so folks are aware of the steps you have taken to try to address the issue.
I notice that my tear away stabilizer has two different sides....it seems one is a lil softer than the other....does it matter which way I put it on the material...??? I don't think I"ve seen that on any videos I've been watching...
It doesn’t really matter. Remember you will be tearing it off after you are done embroidering.
Thank you for sharing I just brought my brother embroidered machine
Pamela, Enjoy your machine. You are going to love it and have so much fun making things!!!'
Thank you so much...this is so informative..so nice for you to take the time. Polly
You are so welcome!
I think I am going to try it tonight. AGAIN great video. You do real good showing me how this thing works never used a sewing machine at all. Thank you for all your help. THE OLD GUY. Haha
Do you change the bobbin to match each color you change out when embroidering?
Hi Kristy. No. The only time I do that is when I am embroidering something like beach towels. You buy covering for the back of the embroidery.
Thank you for the knowledge you share. I need help with the heart , red white and blue. I need to restart the white section again and don't know how to do that.
Back stitch to that area. Hit the needle with the plus and minus sign. That will allow you to backstitch.
Every time my wife uses white thread in the SE1900 it breaks. We have tried several different brands and white is the only one she always has problems with. She is new to this. We also haven't been able to find a forum for specific questions on this machine. Please help. She is getting frustrated. We have used different needles and different thread manufacturers. The white bobbins are fine.
Hi Joe. Remember she joins our facebook group and post pics of the issues she is experiencing. I'm sure you will be able to get help and support there. The folks in this group are very nice and helpful.
Hey everytime I get ready to thread it says check and rethread the upper thread what am I doin wrong?
Check to make sure you are threading the machine correctly and also check your bobbin.
Thank you for the tutorial. I really appreciate your effort. Great job!
You're very welcome!
Thanks for sharing this excellent video, I really enjoyed it.
All I wanna know is can I upload my pic and it emb. The pic?
Hi Cathy. You won't be able to automatically upload a pic and embroider it. You will need to have the pic digitalized by someone who know how to digitalize for embroidery. Depending on who you use and the details of the image it can be expensive. However there are some folks who charge a little cheaper.
Oh I ment to ask, when you put your thread onto the machine do you not cap it to hold it in tight on the peg? Hope you understand what I'm asking. It didn't look like you was putting the cap onto the peg.
Hi Trish, I had trouble with the thread when I was using the cap. I'll try using the cap for the next video. I could have been using the cap wrong....
Thank you so much for doing this! So helpful! I couldn’t imagine doing this with my hubs videotaping 🤣
He doesn't mind doing it once in a while. I do feel funny with him taping thou...cause I know to him it's probably boring.... LOL

Awesome video and you are so cute.💗💗
Thank you 🤗
Hey I love all of the information you give but I have a few questions about the type of threads. Do you have to use thread containers (I forgot what they are called sorry the holders for the thread that isn’t the bobbin) that are specific for the machine or does any type fit? Also is there a way to thread them because I have a big one that will not fit on the machine and I really want to use that thread. Also can you use the same thread for sewing as embroidery or or they’re different types reccomended? And finally what weight of thread is typically needed? Thank you so much ❤
I might have missed a step, but do you just keep your bobbin the color of the material?
Hi Kathleen depending on your project you might want to change you bobbin color. I always use either white or black thread for the bobbin. Unless the person will be using the item on both sides for example a beach towel. Hope this helps.
Can you enlarge and reduce the pattern size ? Using 5’’-12’’ hoop size ?
You can adjust the pattern but it has to fit inside the 5x12 hoop.
Hey can you do hats with this one
Yes. You can do hats. I have a video showing how to do this on my channel.
Amazing video! Thank you for being so clear on the instructions. Had a question though, where do you go if you want to do a custom image embroidery that’s more complex? I’m just learning this machine and don’t want to overwhelm myself trying to learn how to digitize too.
I have the designs professionally digitized.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts from where?
I have a list of folks I used listed under the guide section of the facebook group.
Just stopping through to say Hello from a fellow crafter. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with our community.

hey Jeanette! i know this video is old but i’m hoping you still regularly check your comments! I just got my SE1900 and i’ve been messing around on extra fabric i have, working with the built in designs! the only setting I’ve changed is my thread tension to 3.0 rather than 4.0, and I tightened my bobbin case as well! (per your other video) I am struggling with my designs coming out solid, the density is my problem and i did up the density on the machine to the max which is 120. if you have any tips or tricks for me please let me know!
Hi Ali. Join the Facebook group: Embroidery Happy Hour Adventures and post pics of what you are stitching out so we can see and be able to provide you advice on what is happening.
I love the face mask it is a easy pattern . Right now my sewing machine is down and I was thinking of getting this sewing machine
Hi Norma, It was worth every penny. I started with a cheaper brother machine (HC1850), It was ok for a beginner, but I wanted something so much better. It is definitely worth the extra bucks. Love the way it sews and embroiders.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Good morning Boricua , I have the brother is the model XL2021 and I had it for a long time, right now it is acting up . So l think that l need to buy something up to Date .
Great review I have a similar brother sawing machine you have in the back ground can you tell me the model number of the wide table I need one first my brother sewing machine I do a lot of quilting. Thank you, hope to hear from you soon
Hi Ada. That was my first sewing machine. It's Brother HC1850
Can you embroidery with all purpose thread?
Hi Loudpack. The answer to this is No. You should use embroidery thread that is 40 wt. If you are embroidering small fonts then it's recommended that you use 60 wt embrodiery thread.
Okay thank you so much🙏🏾 I’m still learning
What color did your bobbin have?
Hi Andres, I usually use white bobbins. I did also buy black as well.
Thank you I bought my pe535 since 2019 and have looked at many vids I couldn't understand anything music to loud hand blocking there were to many distractions so I never touch the machine. With this vid I can now take out my pe535 and practise. Thanks again.
Glad to hear that you find the video helpful. Have fun with your machine. Enjoy it.
Are you able to create your own designs?
Hi Janice. I use Embrilliance to create my designs. I import them to the SE1900 on a flash drive. The machine also has several designs that you can use and modify as well. For example, you can select a design and add a name if you like. Hope this helps.
Thanks so much for sharing this video with us. I just bought my Brother SE1900 for Mothers Day and look forward to using it. I will be following you for more information. God Bless.

Just got my se1900 thank you so much for your time and help threading it was killing me number 6 lol once again thank you mamita
Johnny You are very welcome! Enjoy your new machine!
I figured that out after I broke the first needle. That’s why I stated that it was right out of the box doing a first project, a lesson learned. Thank you though, your video was very helpful for my first time embroidery
Hi Linda. Glad you like it!
do you know how to stop my piece from puckering?
Hi LLiamw. The fabric and the design you are using will will determine the type and amount of stabilizer you will need. If you have a design that is very dense and the fabric is thin you might have to double or triple the amount of stabilizer you are using. Remember that not all items can be embroidered with dense designs. So you should always do test runs.
Thanks mama for another great video. I've been thinking of trying a project, I will do one this week! I bought some brothread instead of the brother thread so I guess I just need to eyeball the color right?
You might have the right thread. I see folks using different names for the thread. Google for an embroidery thread comparison chart. It will show you the different type of threads that match the same color.
You are absolutely the best at explaining things. Finally!! You did an excellent job thank you so much!
Glad it helped!
My machine didn't finish the embroidery 🪡 the thread 🧵 stopped Suddenly but the machine continue without using the thread I don't know what is going on ?!!!
Hi Lele. It could be that you have lint in the bobbin area that is tripping the sensor. Make sure you bobbin area is clean of any lint.
Thank you so much for the video! I just got a machine and your videos are amazing. Can we use any thread, or does it have to be brother? I noticed that the colors has number, not sure if its the same for all brand threads? Cant wait to do my first project.
You can use any other brand of embroidery thread. I use all types. Have fun with your machine.
Thank you so much for the video! And thanks for keeping it real and being straightforward. I ordered my new SE1900 from Amazon a few days ago and am expecting delivery today. I’m a bit nervous to start using it as I’ve never done any embroidering, only sewing, but at the same time I’m excited. Your video has been most helpful. I’ve subscribed to your channel and hope to watch more videos on this machine.

Hi Gina! Congrats on your new machine! Have fun with it!!!!
Great video. I feel so empowered. May I ask: Why did it pucker?
If you get puckering it is usually because there wasn't enough stabilizer.
Hello. Cant you please help me
Im stock with witch neddle is the correct one to embore my machine is se625
Thank you!
Hi! These are the needles I use:amzn.to/3sMufwL
Hi! I'm trying to use my own image, I made it to a svg and put it on a usb, then put it in my Brothers SE1900, and it didn't work. Could you think u could help me figure it out or what I did wrong ?
Hi Rosemary. The Se1900 will only read PES format files. You will need to get the images converted to an embroidery file. You can do this by having the file digitized.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Thank you! I will do that, and I'll let u know if it work!
Is this machine work only by 110v,there is not have a 220v machine in this product?
Hi Hussian! This machine does work find with a 110v plug.
HI video is very helpful thank you I have question: do you need to change the needle from regular sewing needle embroidery
Hi Laurel. For embroidery you will want to use a 75/11 needle. If you are using 60wt thread for small fonts, you will use a 65/9 needle.
Thanks for this! Are you able to load a custom design that is already digitized?
Yes you can!
Mam what's the price of this
Hi Vanii. I paid about $1K for it. I have heard that some folks paid a little less. I purchased mine from Amazon.
I got a problem every time I'm doing a project the top thread would pull out the bobbin in place an the machine would show me the bobbin is almost empty error when it's not can someone help Me correct this so I can stop messing up good clothes am frustrated at this point
You will get this error when the bobbin is low on thread. Recommend replacing it with a fresh new bobbin when you get this message. I have a video which shows how to change a bobbin in the middle of a project. Here is the link to the video. This will help: ruclips.net/video/jXoyiHArkp0/видео.html
Great video, thank you! Have been trying to buy the Brother SE1900 in the UK but seems to be sold out everywhere. Does anyone happen to know anywhere that are selling them?
Hi Joe. I'm in the US. I would recommend Googling the SE1900 and see if anything comes up. If you have a sewing shop by you, they might be able to help you in getting one ordered. I also believe you can order this directly from brother. I would check their site as well.
@@BoricuaSewingCrafts Hi, thank you very much for the advice, I will give it a go!
Can u import a specific design from a flash memory on that machine ??
Yes. But it needs to be an embroidery file. If it's not an embroidery file you will need to have it digitalized.
Hi Jeanette how do you get the thread numbers on the screen? I’m only getting a picture of the colour? I tried following the instructions on page b67 but it won’t change to the numbers of the thread. Hellllp please ty

Make sure you are using the color chart associated with the thread you are using.
Can you do your own designs on it? Is this the best budgetachine to get in 2021?
Hi Edmunds, You can use their designs and make small modifications. However in order to do your own designs you will need to do this on embroidery software. This machine is very good. I love it! If you are looking at a machine that only does embroidery only than I would also recommend you look at the PE800.
I followed your tutorial but I click on size and arrows to enlarge the image is not going big just the measurements increasing up the top. why is that?
Hi Visi, You need to click on the icon that has four arrows pointing outwards. This will increase all sides. Remember the image will only increase to 5x7 size.

Hi Jeanette, if my upper threading got sabotaged while doing a project and I need to retouch an area of the project that seems to have missed out on some thread, is there anyway to go back over the design without redoing the whole project? Just to retouch thr necessary areas?

Can you use this machine for cross stitching? And does it work for yarn?
Hi! Sorry I missed your question earlier. You can buy cross stitch files to use with the machine. I don't believe you will be able to use yarn with this machine, it will be too thick.
I was wondering if our thread colors have to be exactly what is shown on the screen? Thanks so much for these videos I really appreciate it 💗
Hi Alexandra. You can change the colors on the screen. That's one of the things that I love about this machine and embroidery. Everything is customizable.
Boricua Sewing & Crafts oh okay! I’m thinking of investing in this machine ... do you think if we didn’t have that exact color we could switch it out & there not be any problems?
@@alexandragonzalez7164, You can change the color of the design on any embroidery software and also use the screen on the machine. Sometimes I don't even change the color of the design. I just pop in the color thread I want to use.
Thank you. This machine comes with a separate bobbin case (black) to switch out when embroidering. Have you used it or do you just stick with the same bobbin case unit that came with the machine?
I never switched out the black bobbin case. When I checked the manual, it states its an alternate bobbin case (no color on the screw). I haven't found a reason to change the bobbin case at all so far.

I learned so much from this video. Thank you so much for taking the time!
You're very welcome!
When i hooped the material like how you did in the video the front and back of the shirt were stitched together... any idea what I’m doing wrong?
Hi Derrin, You need to make sure the area that you are not embroidering on is not laying on the bottom of the hoop. That happened to me as well. So I learned the hard way. Messed up alot of shirts in the beginning.
Boriscua can I cheat the brother my scene I want to embroider is too thick for the hoop I can get around the applicas they r too thick and it’s driving me crazy
