Hey! Just been diagnosed with LADA after misdiagnosed as type 2 5 years ago. Thanks for your channel I’ve been inhaling your videos 😂 it’s a lot to take in so it’s great to see someone with the same illness thriving. Thank you! ❤️
Thanks for lots of good suggestions! Egg muffins ARE great. I JUST made your pumpkin muffin recipe... trying to wait for them to cool now, but they look and smell wonderful!!
I can’t wait for you to dig in! Thanks for letting me know you’re giving them a try, and enjoy one for me! I’ve gotta make some again soon! Maybe with sugar-free cream cheese frosting 😋
Thank you for these suggestions! I was diagnosed with type 1 three weeks ago and it all feels very overwhelming. I love snacking but not a big fan of the injections so it's great to have some ideas of tasty carb-free snacks! I'm checking out your website/recipes now and making my next grocery shopping list, though I live in Berlin, Germany, so I expect I'll struggle to find lots of the more speciality ingredients.
Let me know if you have any questions! I try to make recipes pretty flexible, so you can swap local ingredients if needed. So sorry to hear you were recently diagnosed. I know it's a big change.
Thank you for your such informative viedos! I was just diagnosed with Diabetes about 3 weeks ago. When I found out I was scared and nervous. I saw one of your viedos and started to follow cause they have been so helpful. I’m from San Antonio. Thank you!😊
My neighbor to the West! I’m glad the videos have been helpful, and please let me know if I can help with anything. I always wish I had a resource when I was just starting out. And although it’s just my experience, it helps to know you’re not alone 💙
Hi ,my name is Jenise ! I'm from Zachary, La! I have been a diabetic since I was a high school senior in 1995 ! I was told that I was a turmeric two until about a year ago!
Hi there! I’m Debbie from Payette Idaho. I stumbled onto your channel and have gotten some really good information. I’ve had type 2 diabetes for approximately the last 25 years. I’m 68 years old. Lately I’ve really been struggling, just tired of having to watch my diet all the time. It gets old as you know I’m sure. I’ve been reading a book, “mastering diabetes” by authors Cyrus Khambatta PhD and Robbie Barbaro MPH. Are you familiar with it? It’s really fascinating. Their whole take on diabetes is counterintuitive to what we’ve been taught all these years. It’s a big book and it’s not something I can go into at length here but I would certainly recommend you read it and see what you think. It’s well worth the time I think. I did find a wonderful recommendation in the book that I will pass along. There is a supplement in the form of tea that you can buy called Amala Green. It is made from Indian gooseberry. I got it off the website recommended in the book and I’ve been using it for about two weeks and I am really impressed with its effectiveness. I’m like you I’ve tried so many things people say will help with blood sugar and they don’t help but I swear this stuff Lowers my blood sugar significantly I would say maybe 20 points or more? And it does it every day and I just drink it once a day. So that’s just something you might wanna look into. Anyway thanks for what you do, I think you’re a big help to us diabetics and I appreciate it.
@@debbiepowers4743 it’s so nice to meet you Debbie! Thanks for sharing the recommendation. I know what you mean about the advice in Mastering Diabetes and you’re reminding me I need to pick up the book again. I love a good tea before bed, so I’ll look into Amala Green. Glad you’re here to share! ❤️
Hi Mila it’s Ross from Juneau, WI. I love your channel and all the information you give us, especially this subject it’s just what I’ve been looking for, different snacks to eat instead of the same thing all the time. Keep up the great work Mila!
Hi I'm Judy I'm pre-diabetic and am on ozempic to help with weight loss because I'm considered obese. Dr feels this would be help me with not becoming diabetic and lose the weight. Thank you for these videos
I'm here sis.... Type 2...spoke with u another one of your videos ❤️...I love a bowl of strawberry with Greek yogurt and granola is my go 2 snack or dark chocolate small piece...or just a bag of popcorn..those are my night snacks....I ❤️❤️❤️ ice cream so I found a chocolate and peanut butter ice cream on a stick 1 gram of sugar..it's keto ..(not my favorite but it works)..but a small bowl of chocolate regular ice cream I sometimes give myself a break .. struggle is real and iv been diabetic since 2011
I usually don't share brands because it can be so different from store to store, but some of the things I include are: - Low carb dark chocolate (chopped into pieces) -Peanuts, Pecans or Walnuts -Pumpkin/sunflower seeds -Peanut butter filled pretzels -Plain air-popped popcorn -Dried fruit (but watch this, higher in carbs/sugar). Honestly, have fun with it. Trail mix is supposed to be something you throw together. Find things that you like, and make a little mix.

Hello! Your doctor will test you. If you have a presence of antibodies and low-no insulin production, that signals type 1 diabetes. If you have high glucose and no antibodies and a high A1C, that signals type 2 diabetes. Neither is worse or better than the other. There are just different treatments for each.
I’m sorry it was taken that way. To clarify, I said I include dried fruit in trail mix, but am sure to limit it and watch portions because it can cause spikes, but when paired with nuts that spike can be mitigated a little bit. I also mentioned that pairing whole grain crackers with a fat, or protein like cheese can be a great snack because fat and protein paired with carbs can reduce a glucose spike. I wanted to clarify for anyone who came to the comments section and thinks I said to eat dried fruit and crackers alone with no explanation LOL! There are some good snacks afterward. I also describe those glucose hacks I mentioned further in the vid. I hope you give it another go. Thanks for watching and commenting!
I'm a big fan of Fage plain Greek yogurt with either blueberries or strawberries. These berries have a delicious flavor without a lot of sugar.

Hi,
What do you use for your trail mix (brands included)?
I usually don't share brands because it can be so different from store to store, but some of the things I include are:
- Low carb dark chocolate (chopped into pieces)
-Peanuts, Pecans or Walnuts
-Pumpkin/sunflower seeds
-Peanut butter filled pretzels
-Plain air-popped popcorn
-Dried fruit (but watch this, higher in carbs/sugar).
Honestly, have fun with it. Trail mix is supposed to be something you throw together. Find things that you like, and make a little mix.

Dear, how do I know which diabetes I have?

No grains, no sugar, no vegetable oils, no artificial sweeteners = no diabetes. No snacks either.
And for autoimmune type 1 diabetes?
