- Ranking the best and worst sugar free coffee syrups.
I found that syrups made with monk fruit, allulose, and erythritol tended to taste better than sucralose-based sweeteners.
I also noticed that sometimes the flavors weren't strong and some of the ones I didn't like always added some bitterness to my drinks despite using the serving size, or less for flavoring.

All opinions are 100% my own and I would never recommend a product I didn't 100% love. Products may be given to me for free as press samples, and although they do not influence my opinion, I will always let y'all know what was free and what I purchased with my own money.
Kindness always wins. It takes very little to be a kind human being. 👋🏾. LOVE YOU & Thanks for watching! ❤️ 💛 💙 💜
I would love for you to have shown the bottles of these brands.. the info was super helpful but I really missed the visual on seeing the bottles ☀️☕️
I am a long time diabetic and finding the right sugar free sweetener was definitely a journey. I love the ones from Skinny Mixes. They have a ton of flavors, even a simple syrup.
Thank you for doing this video! I love monin and Torani for sugar free, I also use choczero syrups in my coffee and tea. Most skinny syrups are just sweet and lack flavor! I’m going to check out 1883!
Sampler packs would be amazing! Thanks for this review. I had been eyeing Monin but after tossing several other brands of sugar free syrups, I was hesitant. I'll give them a try.
thanks for your video. I have spent so much money on sugar free syrups for my coffee and they were all gross. But I have never tried Monin or Torani's PureMaid. I will shop for some tomorrow. We really appreciate your honest review!!
Thank you so much for this video! Super helpful! Love that you mentioned these companies offering smaller sample size versions; that is such a pet peeve of mine.
I really wish they would consider it! I’d buy so many more lol! It’s hard to use a giant bottle yourself at home.
Thanks for the video. I was looking for one specifically that gave other options than Skinny Syrups. I’ve wasted way too much money thinking this flavor will be better. I’m for sure going to check out your recommendations, since we seem to have the same taste.
Thank you for this video! I believe the Jordan Skinny Syrups taste better with cold brew and iced coffee versus hot coffee. I tried the syrups with hot coffee and the strong artificial flavor does come through strong. But as I have gotten older I prefer cold coffees and I believe the flavors work best with cold coffees.
I found the Torani SF Pumpkin Spice syrup this year and it is so good!
New subscriber. Thank you for this video. It is very helpful
I started a channel on syrups and they are yummy more to come! ☕💗 love your review!
Thank you for the great information. My limited experience confirms much of what you're saying. And not too much talking at all!
I really appreciate your video. It’s so important to get reviews on sugar free foods. Thank you. I agree with you about the Skinny brand syrups, don’t like them. You didn’t mention Starbucks brand sugar free syrups. I’d love a review of them too. This is my first video of yours and I am very impressed by your descriptions and explanations and I really enjoyed watching you. I will be checking out more of your videos 😀
I’ve always wanted to try Sugar free syrups but I’ve also been very scared of having to purchase a bunch to find the good ones 😩 so thank you for doing all this hard work for us! Love your content ✨
Home Goods sells the big bottles for $4
I love your glasses! My gut can't handle most sweeteners and we don't have this kind of variety in usual supermarkets here in brazil, but I liked to watch your review anyways.
I have tried the Skinny Syrups and agree with you. They taste "diety", like diet soda which I can't stand the flavor of. I'm going to try one of your favs and hope for better results with those. Thanks for the suggestions!
I am trying to cut down on the amount of sugar that I put in my coffee. I bought the Torani puremade sugar free vanilla syrup the other day and I actually really like it! I agree with you that SF syrups made with erythritol are better than with Splenda. I am excited to try the ones that you suggested! Thank you for this video!
First of all, you are SO SWEET like the good erythirol sweet 👌😁 Thank you for making this video! I feel like I can trust your taste buds and I think I'll go with the Torani Puremade bc I can't do splenda
You are so sweet to not want to say anything negative for any of the companies. 😅I do appreciate your honest review, though. I went to TJMax today and they had the Torani SF French Vanilla. It was only $7.99 so I gave it a go. I only used two teaspoons in my iced coffee and I thought it was really good. Now I want to find the puremade line since you said that one tasted better.
Like you, I'm not a fan of splenda. In fact, I don't ever use sweeteners or syrups in my coffee so all these syrups are new to me. Thanks for your review!
I agree about Jordan's Skinny, 95% of the flavors I've tried are horrible. HOWEVER!!! I've been rocking with the same one for years, my absolute one and only favorite: SALTED CARAMEL!!! 😋
That’s is the only one I haven’t tried, so now I’ve got to jump on the wagon! I felt burned with that brand for a minute 😂
The hazelnut and simple syrup are good too
Agree. The salted caramel is really good.
@RHONDA I love coffee, tea, and energy drinks thx for this vid😌❤️
The pistachio is so amazing
I'm not sugar-free, but for whatever reason, sugar-free coffee syrups are so prevalent where I live. It's nearly impossible to find traditional syrups for me, so I super appreciate this video! I agree that Torani is not that great and I truly can't stand the Skinny brands. I think the Monin brand will be my go to though if I see that soon.
Thanks so much for this video!
I love that i found this video i am currently shopping for the cute glass dispensers for syrups for my coffee bar at home. So needed this video lol
LOL! Have a great time! Coffee is my fun morning joy, so I know setting up a coffee bar is such a fun process!
Thank you so much for this video. I’m trying to reduce sugar intake while recovering from injury and this is amazingly helpful. You’ve saved me a lot of time, energy, and DOLLARS!!! The feeling of dumping an entire expensive bottle of gross syrup in the garbage is not one I want to have 😂🙏🏼
Thanks for sharing (new subscriber)
I was just putting together an order for skinny mixes and after your review, I think I’ll pass. I think I do better with Stevia being the sweetener too. Thanks ❤
This is so so helpful. My Husband has type 1 diabetes, but we like our coffee how we like our dessert...sweet! We've been doing sugar free vanilla creamer, but i want to get away from pre-made creamers so im so thankful for this info!
So glad to help! Thank you for watching!
Thank you for the feedback. I hate most sugar free products lol. Will try Monin soon though. I am not a fan of nut milks in my coffee to me they alter the taste of my favorite Cuban brew to something more acidic and fruity which is not my thing. So I typically buy organic half and half and I take some vanilla bean paste and add that to my coffee. The paste has a very strong vanilla flavor so a little tube last a long time
Thanks as always for the wonderful video. I always watch for your new ones. This may be a silly question, but where do you buy these syrups. I live in Canada and have not seen these before. I’ve just been using stevia in my coffe and tea and would love to try your suggestions.
Thanks Colleen! I usually purchase through Amazon, or directly from the brand’s website. It’s rare that I ever find them in stores - especially the sugar-free versions.
@@TheHangryWoman hi. I order my skinny syrup from Amazon as well, but Marshall's sells them as well. Not a variety of flavors though..
Usually, it’s more cost effective to order directly from Skinny syrups website the price is cheaper as a whole. In addition, signing up for an account they frequently have discounts and sales and will notify of such. Also, lately I had Amazon’s prices have gone up and in most circumstances it’s better to buy direct. Only benefit with Amazon is the swift delivery if you need something quick. 💙💙
Torani isnt very good to me either, I agree with you. I havent tried the skinny brand so i won't be trying them.. i going to have to try monin soon!!
$4 for a large bottle of different ones in Marshall's or TJ Maxx, they switch during the seasons, all brands, options depend. In the US.
great content!
Thank you!
I have avoided syrups altogether, because I did not want to spend the money and be disappointed. This was helpful. Thank you!
I felt the same way, but had to take one for the team lol!
I have wasted money too, often they have a horrible aftertaste. In the UK I just found Sereno (sold in Home Bargains at 99p each), best I have tried, I got caramel and I can live with it, a capful in a mug is really sweet so you could use less. They do vanilla too so I am going to buy a few next time I go.
Thank you for this! I’m curious if you’ve tried any of the Matteo’s sugar free syrups. They keep popping up on my social media pages!
I’m going to try the 1883 brand, thanks for the review. Being a reversed Type 2 diabetic, I appreciate your experience with these syrups.
Enjoy! I like testing these out with my coffees, and some are definitely better than others! 1883 is solid!
Changed my mind and ordered the sugar free Monin - caramel and the vanilla.
May I asked how you reversed the type 2 diabetes?
Thank you!! I have to cut back on sugar, not a sugar fiend by any means. Adding sugar to my coffee is my daily pleasure. Took your advice and went with Monin Zero Calorie. Love it. I don't feel like the coffee is downgraded at all. No aftertaste or tongue sensory weirdness. Just sugar free coffee joy.
I'm so glad it brought some joy to your coffee. I know switching to sugar-free doesn't always feel ideal. Monin offers some great options, I love how the flavors are so spot on, but very little aftertaste.
I SO agree with the small sugar free sampler pack! That would be so nice to be able to try them in those little ones so we feel good about buying a huge bottle!
I agree too but my sense is, that they aren't upset at all for people to fork out full price and waste. They know we have only so many choices and we'll keep buying and trying. There seems to be no real motivation for these companies to do small sampler packs.
@@TheManseHen yeah that’s very true!
Im a new subbie and just came across your video after uploading mine. I also have diabetes and try to cook more sugar free as I can. Please understand that my videos are not as good as yours I'm still learning after having my stroke I had to relearn everything all over. I'm so excited to try the brands you suggested esp like 1888 I think that was it I've never heard of them. I've been using the Skinny Syrups cause your correct the make the most flavors and I just made a sugar free snickerdoodle Iced Coffee with Sugar Free Sweet Cold Foam hope you take a look at it and give me your suggestions. My fav syrup has to be the French Vanilla by Torani it has the most decant true vanilla taste in my opinion. I appicate your work you did on this video so indepth and much needed in this sugar free world!
Do you have a zero calorie caramel syrup that you would recomend?Thankyou!
Got diagnosed pre diabetic so I went looking for sugar free syrup with Stevia. I don't like the others like Splenda, Sweet and Low etc. Found it with Monin. Just ordered the Peach for my tea and Caramel for my coffee. Here's to hoping it will taste good.
Oh I've been burned by the Homesense aisle! Thank you for taking so many for the team. Going to try Monin. There's a new zero calorie line that looks interesting.
Ooooh! I might have to do an update on this! Let me know how it is!
@@TheHangryWoman have you tried the Monin Zero line? Curious how that experience was. Thanks!
Do they work well , mix well in cold brewed coffee?
Have you tried vanilla chai from Jordan skinny syrups? I’m obsessed.
I thought it was just me with the Skinny Syrups. They didn't taste like anything to me. Huge waste of money.
Ideal sweetener is a great sugar substitute
Try Choczero. I’d love to hear what you think.
How do you feel about Matteo’s brand
Monin SF is my fave!!!! Started with Torani and, I agree, the pure label is better. But Monin is still the BEST!!! I do hope Monin hears you (and all of us) and creates a SF sampler pack. I honestly don’t know how/why they haven’t.
I'm still wishing they'd help us out and give us the sugar-free sample pack!
You are so gorgeous and you have the best energy! Loved the video:)
Thank you so much!!
Can you make an updated list?
Hello. If i want to buy a sugarfree vanilla syrup.. would you reccomand Monin or 1883? I live in Denmark and just know these two..
Are all or any good for fasting? great content btw 🎉
I wouldn't use these during a fast, but totally would use it in my coffee afterward!
Yes sample bottles. I just hate the after taste on some of them.
It would save us all so much money and wasted products lol!
Did you try monin zero?
Do they all have Splenda?
Thanks for sharing which one of these brains do not spike your sugar I am type 2 diabetes
I actually like the Jordans skinny SF syrups. Salted caramel, sugar cookie, and pistachio are a few favs. I also like a lot of the pumpkin ones. 🤷🏼♀️
I don’t care for Monin at all and the Torani SF caramel and vanilla are 👎🏻
Just goes to show how different all of our tastebuds can be!
Hi! 👋 I hope you had a nice Halloween! You look so pretty today. Love the sweater. I'm surprised I haven't heard of most of these. You really do your homework. So can you use these in recipes as well as drinks? Like if I made french toast could I add it like I would vanilla? I would really like some dessert recipes for Thanksgiving. I ate candy 😱 and had a regular soda because I went to the laundry mat to do all the blankets and dog bed. Well I feel like crap. LOL lesson learned. No more real sugar. Have a great week my friend. See you in the next video!
Yes absolutely! You can use it just like you mentioned. I like whipping some of these into cream, or desserts for sweetening!
I hope you feel better! I can definitely *feeeeel* it when I have real sugar in something. It’s crazy how it feels when you haven’t had it in a while.
Thanks for watching friend! Always glad to see your comments 🥰
Do you have an updated list of the syrup? Any of these ingredientes cause sugar spikes?
Sucralose, aspartame, ace-k actually do spike glucose level. I make my own syrups using allulose, monk fruit extract, water & flavorings.
what are your favorite monin flavors?
Pistachio and Sugar-Free Vanilla are two of my top favorites!
I find the Skinny syrups to be flavorless and bitter as well! So disappointing. I usually love Sucralose, but something is so off for me.
Can someone just give me a billeted list of which ones she recommends? I don't have time to sit through the whole video with 2 littles. I was hoping for a bulleted list in the video but no....
As a creator who spent time and money to try these out so that others don't waste their time and money, I get sad about comments like this. All you have to do is ask nicely. Say please and thank you. I'm happy to share a list. The video also has a timestamp outline.
I'm a bit confused. You are saying that you are concerned with sugar. Yet your option for milk in your coffee is Oat Milk? I know that it is high carb. I'm going to start making my own as I have good sugar subs.
Because I choose oat milk and I know that it has extra carbohydrate, I aim to balance it out in other places.
I agree about sucralose. Thank you for the review of sweeteners for coffee! I like hazelnut flavours, did you try any you liked?
I was a diabetic and I reversed my diabetes in 2 months after being diagnosed...are you working on reversing yours or just maintaining it?
I have type 1, so it can’t be reversed, as my pancreas doesn’t produce any insulin.
@TheHangryWoman oh ok I assumed it was type 2, i keep forgetting about type 1, I'm sorry.
What did u do? Currently diagnosed pre diabetic 🥲😟😔
@baybeeuneek89 I changed my diet and cut out sugar, starch and carbs, it so easy to reverse once your consistent. I use super free syrup, that taste just like sugar with no after taste, ate alot of wholegrain food, cut out regular oil, and started to use olive oil and coconut oil, boil green banana became my rice, I ate it alot with pumpkin, and any type of meet I felt to eat each day.
Skinny Mixes have the small bottles
Hi thank you so much for this video! I purchased the Monin Sugar Free Vanilla and am curious how different it tastes to Monin's Sugar Free French Vanilla? If someone could let me know if French Vanilla tastes better let me know. The sugar free vanilla is a little bland to me
I bought the Monin sugar free vanilla and I did not like it but my go to is torani sugar free vanilla.
Have you found any new ones since this video!
I'm doing a Monin Haul Video soon! I only found one sugar-free option in that haul, unfortunately. But I'm super excited about everything I ended up with!
Many of those 5-carbon sugars (erythratol, etc) can cause painful stomach problems in people who have a sensitivity to them. I suggest avoiding them if possible (their names all end in "ol") and sticking with sucralose/Splenda and Ace-K.
I’d also add if they’re overused. Sucralose can have similar gastrointestinal effects when you don’t stick to the serving sizes. But trial and error is a great way to find out what’s tolerable for you.
Ace k splenda and sucralose all have problems especially sucrlaose and ace k with gut bacteria
Thankfully, I’ve had no issues. I only use 1-2 tablespoons of SF syrup in my coffee depending on size. But maybe others use a lot more.
One teaspoon of salted caramel and in good for the day
The pure made syrups by torani don’t have added sugars but aren’t sugar free … or am I confused ?
Puremade has both. One without added sugars (but still made with cane sugar and quite high carb) and one that is completely sugar-free, but does have around 4g of total carbs per serving and made with Erythritol.
@@TheHangryWoman I finally found one in person! The Carmel one. Your right it’s way better than the regular sugar free Carmel
So far White Chocolate Mocha by skinny syrups are the best I’ve had. So far their vanilla bean and mocha are disgusting. I’m so sad about it!
Pure sucralose is good but these guys r using splenda that has maltodextrin in it and if ur trying to stay away from high glycemic foods maltodextrin isn't good. It's high up there. But pure sucralose is better. But u have to barely use any because it is so sweet.
I find that Stevia can be the same way. Too much and it's so sweet that it actually tastes bitter.
Splenda is a no no,
Jordan's sugar free syrups have sucralose, that's sugar. However the Keto syrups have stevia and monk fruit.
I use Jordan’s Hazelnut with MCT , it does not. It has stevia & monk fruit.
sucralose isnt sugar......
I keep buying the Jordan ones I have 3bottles because their all gross :( waste of money
They're not my favorite. I really can't stomach them!
❤🙏
Everyone has different taste and different opinion, I for example think Monin is the worst! Pure sweetness without any actual flavor.
Absolutely agree that you have to find something that fits your tastebuds!
For how long you chatted, you could have gone into some flavor suggestions❤
Way too much talking just get to the point
You forgot to say thank you for the free information, and not having to waste your own money on bad products. You’re welcome though.
