Glad to help! Let us know if we can assist in the future.
Awesome videos!! We have just started using Sangoma phones, and the headsets work except the using the headset button to answer/hang up. I bought an Sangoma EHS30 adapter, but not sure how to wire it up so it works. Any help would be awesome!!
I have an OpenStage 60 HFA V3 deskphone and the Plantronics CS540. I've tried all the troubleshooting you've provided and I still can't get a dial tone. I have the Plantronics base hooked in between the deskphone coil cable and deskphone base. I've tried physically taking the phone off the hook and no success. I can hear a click in the Plantronics base when I tap the button on the earpiece. Is it required to have the EHS adapter for this to work?
I have been using my C054 for years with my Polycom desk phone. All of a sudden today there is no dial tone when i pick up the headset. It is still connected my Polycom because when a call comes in the headset does flash but doesn't ring like it used to. Also when I click on the headset my Polycom recognizes it and the screen shows enter number. I tried everything and am not sure what to do at this point???
My work phone is a Panasonic KX-DT546. Is this headset compatible? Could you tell me what I need to make it work?
Hello, all seem to light up and charging. However, I cannot hear a dial tone nor customer. Does this mean I still need a new battery or is the headset broken? Please advise.
Excellent video and well produced. May I request why you recommend the 50-75% volume on the phone in terms of echo, and why setting the speaker and microphone to 2 is the recommendation as opposed to other settings?
Hi David, it's important to have the volumes balanced between the desk phone, headset and charging base. If your desk phone is at 100% volume usually it can cause distortion, bad sound quality or echo. The general settings on the charging base are 2 but can be adjusted as needed. For example, if callers are saying you sound quiet or someone is hard of hearing on the other end, you can adjust the mic gain up as needed.
Hi Drew, thank you for all the support. Out of a sudden, CISCO Jabber is not seeing the device. i can see it under the speaker options but no the microphone. have reset it but still not working.
Have you tried uninstalling Cisco and reinstalling? Give that a try!
We have 2 headsets that stopped working correctly on 2 phones and I've tried everything to get them to work properly but the side button on the headsets will not work to answer the phone and the speaker nor the mic seem to produce any audio. Also the only way to get a dialtone is to press the headset button on the deakphone once (so that it is lit up) instead of having it in headset memory mode. Any ideas?
Hi Monty, what is the make and model of your desk phones and do you have the EHS or Lifter accessory that allows you to press a button on your ear to answer calls from the headset?
Omg thank you!!!
Anytime, Ashley :) let us know if we can help in the future.
My APP-51 EHS Cable stopped working when upgrading the firmware on my Polycom VVX401 Desk phone. I'm using the Plantronics CS540 Headset. Any ideas why all of a sudden I cannot answer calls when I am away from my desk via the EHS cable after updating the firmware on my phone?
Hi Brian, your EHS settings in your phone could have reset during the firmware update. Go to the very end of the video at the link below and it will show where you can double check these settings. ruclips.net/video/BmSAT_dZOs8/видео.html
Great Video! Could you advise us which (lifter or EHS cable) we would need for our office desk phone (Panasonic KX-HDV130)?

You'll need the Handset Lifter accessory here headsetadvisor.com/products/plantronics-hl10-handset-lifter-accessory-for-remote-call-answering-using-a-plantronics-wireless-headset

Nice Video. I have a Wildix Workforce and the headset works fine, but the call button on the headset, when pressed, mutes and unmutes rather than answers or end calls.
Thank you! What's the make/model of your headset?
Just out of curiosity. I have an avaya 9650 with a side sbm24. I do alot of remote answering. I have a cs540. What accessories do I need for remote answering
Hi Doreen, this accessory will allow remote call answering headsetadvisor.com/products/plantronics-apv63-electronic-hookswitch-cable-for-avaya-and-remote-call-answering
We have Avaya J139 phone, i have a Plantronics C054A headset. Will it work? Also I need to be able to answer by pressing button on the Headset. How can i proceed?
Yes, the C054 will work on your phone. You'll want to add the accessory here as well headsetadvisor.com/products/plantronics-apv63-electronic-hookswitch-cable-for-avaya-and-remote-call-answering
Thank you Drew for this video. It was very helpful.
I have a Mitel/Shoretel IP480 phone system. The hook up went well but I am not able to hear the ring for an incoming call in the headset.
Can you help me with the trouble shooting for this issue?
Anytime Melia! For your specific phone, to get ring detection in your headset you'll need the accessory here headsetadvisor.com/products/plantronics-rd1-ring-detector-cable-for-remote-call-answering-for-shoretel-and-toshiba-phones
@@HeadsetAdvisor Thank you for the quick reply. I was reading the comments & replies to the item. I just want to make sure that if I use this it will not take away my current ability to answer or end a call. It will just add the ability to hear an incoming call while away from my desk.
@@MeliaKsandiegoubermom Correct this won't take your ability away to answer/end calls away from the phone. It will only add the ability to hear your phone ring when away from your desk.
Hi, I have a Cisco 7821 and a Plantronics CS540, I can’t hear my Wireless Headset ring and I cannot answer or end calls from it, do I need an accessory?
Hi Kahla, great question. You need the accessory at the link below to enable these features. headsetadvisor.com/products/plantronics-apc43-electronic-hookswitch-cable-for-remote-call-answering-works-with-select-cisco-ip-phones
I have a Yealink T54W. Please let me know which accessory I need to purchase to be able to answer the phone pressing the button.
EHS40, otherwise give the Yealink WH63 a look which works out of the box and doesn't require any additional adapter to be ordered. headsetadvisor.com/products/yealink-wh63-convertible-dect-wireless-office-headset?_pos=1&_psq=wh63&_ss=e&_v=1.0
I don't have a headset button but when I pick up the phone, it just transfers audio to my phone instead of the headset
I have one and trying to get it on the avaya one agent. It keeps clicking off can u help
Hi Komal, which model of adapter do you have connecting from the Plantronics base to your computer?
I am having a problem where I can hear people on the headset but the microphone is not working so they can’t hear me. It worked fine for first 6 months then just stopped working last week. I tried connecting the whole thing to another phone but the problem persists. I’ve tried resetting it also to no avail.
This video will share all the possible troubleshooting steps to try so unfortunately it sounds like it could be defective.
I can hear on the headset but microphone doesn’t seem to work. I’ve tried muting and unmuting as well as a reset. What else can I check? Thank you for your videos. Great information.
Thank you for the support! If neither of the steps in this video helped then it's possible you have a defective headset system, or there's a step being missed that would require some additional troubleshooting.
If you ordered from us, please contact us and we'll be here to assist, or you could try contacting Plantronics directly.
I have a plantronics Cc054 would like the information on the lifter & ehs cable to be able to answer the phone. Thank you
What's the make/model of desk phone you have?
I can't find anything on how to get mine to work again. My power went out. Turned everything back on and it's now flashing red on the base. Tried all troubleshooting I can fin
Unfortunately when you have this red flashing light, it tells us there's a defect in the charging base. If there's ever a power outage or power surge, this can cause that problem. If you're within the 1 year warranty I'd request a replacement, otherwise you'd want to order a replacement system.
I have the CS540 headset that has been paired with my Yealink phone for 4 months, there were many complaints of people not being able to hear me very well. Now suddenly there is no dial tone or mic. I have followed all steps to do a master reset, changed settings from A to G, to no avail.
Sorry to hear that, these would be all the possible troubleshooting steps we'd walk you through. We'd recommend contacting the manufacturer to get a warranty replacement.
@@HeadsetAdvisor Unfortunately this specific model is not covered under any warranty with the manufacturer. Initially only the mic was out, after doing a full reset per the steps provided in your videos, we are now unable to hear any dial tone as well as mic being out.
I have a Yea link SIP T42u do I need an EHS or lifter?
If you have the CS540, you can use the EHS40 cable here headsetadvisor.com/products/yealink-ehs40-hook-switch-cable-for-t58a-t57w-t54w-t53w-t53-t48s-t46s-t42s-t41s-phones

I can not find any answers to when i make a call out that i can hear them but they can no hear me. can you help?
That typically is a setting adjustment your phone and headset setttings need to be properly set. Reach out to who you purchased it from or call the manufacturer and they can walk you through troubleshooting
the headset does'nt activate the lifter or give a dial tone
I have a Cisco 7841 what cable do I need
Hi Corine, can you help us understand which headset you have?
I have the platronics C054
What cords do I need I have a cisco cp 7861
Hi Megan, this accessory would allow remote call answering with your headset and phone headsetadvisor.com/products/plantronics-apc43-electronic-hookswitch-cable-for-remote-call-answering-works-with-select-cisco-ip-phones
Thank you 😊
When I make a call i can hear the call but the headset microphone doesn't seem to be working. what's going on?
If you followed all these troubleshooting steps it could be defective. We'd suggest contacting the seller or manufacturer for assistance with troubleshooting and if it's within warranty it would be replaced if defective.
@@HeadsetAdvisor I've tried all of these. The microphone still isn't working.
@@OurTownAmerica it sounds like you have a defective headset and you'd want to get a warranty replacement if within warranty. If not, you'll want to order a new headset system. Feel free to contact us and we can point you in the right direction. headsetadvisor.com/pages/contact-us
@@HeadsetAdvisor I just purchased this off Amazon. It looks like I'm going to have to send it back and get a new one.
@@OurTownAmerica That would be a good idea. As a heads up, if the bottom of the charging base says "C054A" you received a European version that's commonly being sold from unauthorized sellers on Amazon and this is one of the results that happens.
MY headset connect to base, but the base flashes orange, then green then disconnects.... stumped!
If neither of these steps worked we'd recommend requesting a replacement if it's under warranty still or you may have a defective unit.
My work phone is a Panasonic KX-DT546. Is this headset compatible? Could you tell me what I need to make it work?
Yes, this headset is compatible.
