Wow! Thank you so very much for the details! My office just installed these on our desks and no one knew for sure HOW to do the headphones to answer calls. It was 'hit or miss' instructions from others so I am glad for RUclips. Thanks again!
hello thank you for the tutorial very clear I have followed all your instructions I can hear my interlocutor but when I loved my interlocutor does not hear me
Thank you for the info! My office is using me as a guinea pig with this headset and I'm going to sound like a pro when I show everyone how to use theirs.
I think an important thing to mention to an absolutely non tech savvy person such as myself is that to use it has to be plugged in to the charger cable. The instructions that came with it nor this video mentions that lol
Thank you for this. Any reason why my new set keeps beeping. three beeps every eight seconds or so, very off putting..the phone light also flashes at same time.
Out of range warning tones If you are on a call and go out of the operating range, you will hear three low tones. You will hear a single mid tone when you are back in range.
@@headsets4business I used a Voyager for years and was able to roam around the house. recently the earpiece kept loosing contact with it's base and the phone would go down. I appreciate your advice and may change the range to wideband and see. Thank you.
I don't understand if I have to push headset button on the phone to answer the phone do I have to push silver button on headset too? what's the purpose of silver button?
I have setup my header with my phone and can hear the dial tone when I hit the headset button on my cisco phone but when I tested whether I can take a call with the headset, I can’t seem to get it to connect when I hit the silver button on the headset. It ends up turning it off.
You might need to perform a full reset by these quick steps. 1- Unplug the AC power from the charging base, 2- Remove the battery from the earpiece, 3- wait 10 seconds the plug both back in and try again.
@@MsThankuverymuch You're welcome. Let me know if that helps, if not check where the headset charges. There's two raised copper contacts, if those are bent at all, the headset won't charge. In that case you would maybe need some tweezers to bend the charge contacts back to normal. Otherwise, if your headset is still within the warranty, I would recommend getting it replaced from the manufacture.
Ok, so I have watched this video and to my knowledge I have everything connected properly. However, my headset is still not working. It is charged, the green light comes on when I push the silver button on the headset, but when I push the headset button on my phone to initiate a call, there is no dial tone, or when I am in a call and try to switch over to headset, there is no sound. I have a Cisco video (CP 8945) phone. I have tried every conceivable combination of switches, dials, and buttons. Any suggestions?
Sarah Barnes hi Sarah, a couple of things to try. 1. If your phone is in headset mode, try taking it out of it 2. If it isn't in headset mode, put it in and see if it makes a difference You should get a final tone as soon as you hit your headset button or dedicated answer button. Hope that helps.
I had the same problem but figured it out. There are a several switches on the bottom of the headset base. Set the vertical one to letter "D". This is with the base connected directly to the headset jack on the cisco phone. That's it!
Really sorry to bother you again. Having kept my phone charged all night, I now have it beeping three times every few minutes when not in use. The hand set flashes and the phone indicator on the base flashes in sequence, it's as though the phone is telling me something is not right.
Hi Paul, see if this link helps you www.plantronics.com/us/en/support/knowledge-base/kb-article-page?type=Troubleshooting__kav&lang=en_US&urlName=RN1393
You can with the addition of the HL10 handset lifter. If you have a VoIP phone there are usually EHS cables available. You will need to make sure you get the correct one for the exact make and model of your phone.
I am having a problem with the incoming calls on the headset. I do not hear a beep when I am away from my desk and a call is coming in. Anyone else have the issue or can help me solve my problem?
To hear the beep you will need the remote answering accessory. There are 2 options: 1) handset lifter 2)EHS cable Depending on which make and model of phone you have will determine the accessory you need. If you already have one of these accessories then you may need to increase the ring volume of your phone, change the tone, or you may need to use the ring detector and place it over the speakerphone on your telephone. Hope this helps!
It's 2023. I found this in our old supply closet and watched your video and now I have a headset.
so thanks!
