    The battery you are looking for is 503030. 50 for 500mah and 30 for 30mm. Similar sizes should fit. I wouldn't go above 35mm on any one measurement. Try to stick with 30mm or less and the battery should fit.

      Just salvaged one of these headsets from electronics recycling at work. Yep, battery drops like a rock! Thank you for posting the PN for the replacement battery!

    Your video helped me open my headset with more confidence! Piece of advice, don't use a heat gun anywhere near that yellowish-greenish foam!

    If you are looking for the correct battery search for 3.7V 403029 (1.2Wh / 360mAh).

    Thanks so much for your video. My speaker had stopped working on the battery side and I had no clue how to get inside to take a look. It was a broken wire, soldered in a replacement, all back together and working. You've saved me the cost of a replacement.

    Procedure for Voyager V4220 is very similar to this, but the tiny battery is in the same side of the headset as the microphone, micro USB port, etc.
    The battery is different to the example in this video as it is has the code 1ICP4/25/38 (25 x 38 mm, I believe), and has 3 wires (red, white, black) instead of 2. Looks like the white wire could be related to battery temp monitoring, or validating that the battery is supported by the device.

    I was planning to buy a Plantronics Voyager 2 headset until I saw this video. Although I am capable of doing the battery replacement it is ridiculous that they have made it deliberately so difficult to do that they are obviously trying to get people to throw away the headset and buy a new one. So wasteful. Shame on you Poly/Plantronics!

      I paid almost $200 for mine 7.5 years ago. My B825 voyager is still going. I get the low battery alert much quicker now. But I can still use for at least 3 hours without issue. Good buy IMO. Works well and you can get it much cheaper today. Maybe I’ll get another 2 years on it. Nothing lasts forever.

    Ordered the battery, asked myself "now what"? And saw this. Now I'm encouraged by all the comments below.
    In any case, what PLT did here was... not pride-inspiring.

    thanks for posting this - very helpful. it would be a shame to have to change a perfectly working headset only because of the battery

    You can also calculate it. P = U * I which leads to Wh = V * Ah -> Ah = 1,3/3,7= 0,3514 Ah = 351 mAh

    Terrible that the change of a simple akku needs so much work. Are they nuts? Do we live in 1982. We want sustainable products. And Thx for the video!

      wrong in 1982 most of the products even "electronics" could be repaired at home without much of hustle.

    My headset is in perfect shape and does not want to charge in the cradle or plugging it in. You think it could be battery?

    • @sigor2011
      @sigor2011  Год назад +1

      It is possible. Hope not port damage. You can rake it apart and measure battery voltage, if it is below 3v, swap it. Cheap enough to try at least.

    absolutely terrible design, commonly the two screws on that flex bracket blow out, there's no way to fix it as it screws into the housing, and if you glue it you'll never get it apart again.
