It worked! Thank you so much!!!
You're welcome :)
I've tried every method to pair. When the headset is docked there is a flashing green light and when it's undocked there no light at all on the headset.
I unplugged my CS540 this morning as I wanted to move its location but when I plugged it back in I could use the headset to dial out and I can hear people but they cannot not hear me. I have tried re-pairing using all of your methods but the white subscription light refuses to come on!
I'm looking for a chart that decodes the compatibility switch on the bottom of the Plantronic CS540 - would you be able to help with that?
Hi Brad, there’s no decoding resource that I’m aware of. What I can tell you though is for 95% of desk phones it needs to be on A and sometimes D for Cisco desk phones.
Hi, if this cannot be paired with my PC or phone, what is the use of this headset...? My company proided me this one but no clue how I'm supposed to use it -
It sounds like your company gave you the incorrect headset for your devices. This headset only works with a corded desk phone.
Is this compatible to a comdial edge 120 desk phone. I have static on my end but customers don't hear it
Give this video a look ruclips.net/video/k9VURbFf0sQ/видео.html
I am following step by step. the base starts flashing white after holding for 3 seconds. But my issue is that no matter what I do, when I hold the volume button for 3 seconds, I do not see any green light on the headset. therefore the base times out and never finishes pairing.
Give the guide at the link below a look and see if that helps. If not, you may have a defective headset. ruclips.net/video/k9VURbFf0sQ/видео.htmlsi=OFywXiKPOlXQNXCc
I can't answer the phone away from my desk. I have the lifter and it lifts but I still have to press the headset button for it to come through the headset. What am I missing
You need to setup your headset into the handset port instead of the headset port. Follow this video ruclips.net/video/43GTaqLsWVQ/видео.html
Please help! I'm trying to set up a new Plantronics CS540 headset with an ehs cable. (I have another other office phone set up with a headset and ehs) but need to switch offices periodically, therefore, I got a whole nother unit. I have tried to set up with the instructions I found on the internet, using the settings on my Polycom phone. (My headset is charged) but all I'm getting is "snow." Also, I attempted to go through the settings again, but when I get to "Headset" and click "Enabled" it won't "select" it. I can go (back) in the menu and instead choose "Hookswitch Mode" and choose #3 "Plantronics EHS" but it won't accept that or apply that either. In trouble shooting, I found your link and tried your suggestion of unplugging the headset unit, taking the battery out, etc. and it's still doing the same thing - just "snow." Do you know what's wrong?
Your phone carrier may have to enable that setting one the phone its self. And of course the phone has to be compatible with hook switch. I know we have to have them enable ours on the Mitel phones otherwise it wont work at all
Thanks for sharing the in depth detail. You’ll want to contact your phone system provider to enable in the back end for these settings to be adjusted. From there it should work.
@@ppenrose2 great points
@@HeadsetAdvisor I tried that yesterday. I contacted C-Spire. The phones are Polycom, through C-Spire and a C-Spire rep tried to help me yesterday but said they don't deal with headsets, therefore, aren't even trained in them. Go figure! She tried to help by updating the phone AND going through the set-up with me AGAIN... (I've done that MULTIPLE TIMES) but nothing changed. Well, something changed, but it didn't help! In attempting to set it up again, in "settings" Polycom ehs no longer read "Polycom ehs" but instead the new name: "Poly ehs." But it didn't enable anything. I also went into "Headset Memory" clicked on "Disabled" to see if that would help but it didn't! The next step I will try is get our IT rep out here Tuesday since he would have credentials to get into the Plantronics HUB. I was really hoping y'all would have insight into the issue since you deal with this info all the time.

Please help me!! I purchased a new CS540 headset and I can't get it to connect to my computer at all and I feel like I've tried everything. I am using a Plantronics switch that I connect the dock to which connects to the computer. No matter what I try I can't get any sound nor can callers hear me. A coworker has the same headset and it works fine with the equipment from my company. I have tried even using EHS adapter with no luck. I'm at a loss.
Hi Tabitha, the cord that goes from the plantronics base to your computer, which model of cord is this?
@@HeadsetAdvisor I
It's just a micro USB connecting from the switch to computer. The switch model 205255-01 and the cord connecting the base to my headset well I've tried both the Plantronics 38350-13 EHS adapter and the savi cable it came with...
@@HeadsetAdvisor the interesting part is a purchased a refurbished model first and it worked mostly aside from the volume not working, I broke down and bought a new one but the new doesn't work at all
I am suppose plug a cord in the back of the phone with the headset picture?
If your phone has a dedicated RJ9 headset port, yes.
@@HeadsetAdvisor its works yayyyyyy
I can't hear on my headset. There is no noise once it is connected.
I purchased a CS540 XD, all I am getting with the headset in the cradle is two rapid blinking green lights on the headset.
Hi Christopher, there's a number of things that can be going on. Try the troubleshooting guide at the link below and skip to 1:26 for the full reset to start.

Wow, didn’t expect a reply this fast. That’s great however I have watched that video plus a couple of your other ones and still got the 2 green rapid blinking light on the headset.
@@christopherpatrick7920 😁about how long have you had your headset for and was it working fine before?
@@HeadsetAdvisor oh no, just received them today from Amazon. If I can’t get them working tomorrow, I’m returning both.
@@christopherpatrick7920 If none of these tips helped, feel free to contact us directly and we can assist with getting a new order placed, or point you in the right direction to get compatible headsets that will work.
If the bottom of the charging base says C054A that can also be the issues as it’s a European variant of the CS540. That’s been a big issue on Amazon that hasn’t been addressed yet unfortunately.
when i am away from my desk I should be able to pick up a call by clicking the headset button right but i can't retrieve a call unless i am the desk to push button on the phone
As long as you have the remote answering accessory (HL10 or EHS cable depending on which phone you have), otherwise you won't be able to answer calls away from the phone.
Can these be paired with a sell phone?
Hi Tyrone, unfortunately not. Let us know if you want a recommendation to a headset that can.
All of the sudden mine stopped working. None of these seem to be working. Any additional suggestions?
Hi Bob, give this other video a look here ruclips.net/video/k9VURbFf0sQ/видео.html
@HeadsetAdvisor unfortunately i have tried that step as well. No matter what i do i can't hear a dial tone 😞
@@bobsprung4912 dang :( it may be time for a replacement if you're out of the warranty.
I did all that still not working
I tried everything to pair, but it's blinking red.
Hi Kunal, unfortunately when the red blinking light continues after trying everything then it’s defective. Sometimes power outages or surges can cause a defect in the base.
From here you’d want to request a warranty replacement if within 1 year, or a new headset system would need to be ordered.
I wish to have your problems. I have no problems with pairing but a bigger problem: I use the headset with a snom DECT-USB-Adapter and want use only thin pairing. But every time i put my headset to the base for charging, this f*** headset pairs automaticly with the base an i can't find a way to DISABLE this automatic pairing :-( anyone with "the golden idea" ? ;-)
No you cannot disable auto pairing unfortunately
