      thesvc2006 I don't think so, first I think really the only reason he won was not really so much of what trump did but who he was running against

    • @BlerdyB
      @BlerdyB 7 лет назад +2

      On the contrary: I think if conservatives keep making moves to oppress marginalized groups, it's going to galvanize more people to act in 2018 and 2020. Indeed, I also think Trump won because his opponent was a terrible candidate.

      Obviously, the Left isn't a monolith, just like the Right. If you can fault the entire group because of these incidents, then is it alright for me to blame all conservatives for "Alt-Right/pretty much a Nazi" Bannon as top White House advisor or the KKK? Obviously, Colin isn't one of those people, so I can't. With all due respect, let's try not to be so hyperbolic and focus our energy, anger, etc. on the people who deserve it.

      People wanting a "family dynasty" is un-American in my mind. Thats like saying u want a king instead of a democracy. That is you operating on the assumption that a future leader is fit for duty based on blood relation. Doesn't seem right to me.

      +David W. Trump is keeping to his word, of course he cares. The man's obsessed with legacy; he wants to remembered for bringing jobs back to America and saving the economy. And because of the current trade deals, if you don't make your shit in China then you're going to be undercut and bankrupted, something he wishes to change. US companies should not be penalised for hiring American.

    I want to give my thanks to the crew of the Game over Greggy show in changing my viewpoints of morals and social issues. Having a conversation between two different viewpoints is very fascinating to me and it is possible to come between terms on certain matters. It is also important to be open and respectful to other peoples opinions on issues and to not demean them with our own personal agendas. Thanks again and keep it up.

    • @phightinphils13
      @phightinphils13 7 лет назад +14

      Murray King I also like when Tim chimes in. Colin reaffirming his own opinions for 30min is kind of boring and antithetical to having a discussion podcast. I get they're not all well-versed like Colin, but I wish they'd speak up more. Tim is good in short bursts. He can make good points; it's when he tries to defend and expand upon them that he starts rambling and loses people because it's more apparent he doesn't know as much as he thinks. Colin is the opposite. With him rambling, it is quite evident he knows a lot, but it also comes off snarky and condescending at times to the rest of the group.

      FLAMES Well even if you're for the ban
      1. It's Temporary.
      2. It excludes countries that have actually provided terrorists in the past. I.e. Saudi Arabia.
      3. It includes people who are legally in the states.
      So even if you are for the concept the execution of it misguided, selective and arbitary.
      In short it's just there to pay lip service to those who voted for him.

    I'm so tired of the "liberal bubble" talk. It's nonsense. Most of America's conservatives live in a giant bubble called rural America. I've lived in rural America my entire life and all I ever hear is conservative politics echoing back and forth. Most liberals live in large cities where at least they experience points of view from many people of many origins, cultures, and ideologies. The conservatives in rural America only ever experience people exactly like themselves. I know this from experience so you can tell me I'm wrong but it's true. I'm tired of people questioning people's ability to make informed political decisions based on where they live. We all live in bubbles. That's why America is so divided today. Conservatives and liberals don't want to interact because they don't want their ideas challenged.

    • @ademolathompson140
      @ademolathompson140 7 лет назад

      Exactly... I lived in Tennessee for Eight Years of my life. The amount of people that I met that thought that islam was a race is astonishing .. there isn't close to enough diversity, and people chalking it up to being "in a liberal bubble" are just making excuses for them.

    • @ChrisDynamo
      @ChrisDynamo 7 лет назад

      Conservatives are realists, liberals are naive; multiculturalism doesn't work, it doesn't work anywhere and never has. Look at America even, it's a nightmare. Mass immigration, same as above. At least conservatives operate under the banner of common sense, whereas liberals are clueless.

    • @SqueebzEZ
      @SqueebzEZ 7 лет назад +3

      Chris Dynamo People like you are what is wrong with the world. Conservatism and liberalism are ways of thinking. Everyone uses both ways of thinking some lean to one more than the other. But both are essential for anything to succeed. Liberals are those more open to change conservatives reject change they are cautious. Without liberals there would be little advancement, no civil rights for everyone. Without conservatives the liberals would spend too much time trying to accomplish things that can't be done yet. They balance each other. Your comments on multiculturalism show me that you are simply using conservatism as a disguise for your hate, bigotry, and xenophobia. You are not conservative. You're just an ass. Multiculturalism has been working great in throughout the United States' history. Throughout the world really. Immigrants from different cultures and backgrounds built America.

    • @ChrisDynamo
      @ChrisDynamo 7 лет назад

      +Jarrett Buzzwords, buzzwords, buzzwords! There is no balance in what liberals have done to the West. What they've done to Germany, Sweden, almost done to the rest of Europe and are trying to do to America. Illegal immigration is such a massive problem, such a huge issue in political terms (legalise them and they're voting Democrat, ending democracy basically, because no other party will stand a chance. That's not even just illegals, the million legals that arrive each year are of course far more likely to vote Dems because of the encouragement and benefit promises), Trump was literally the last chance to stop the sway foreigners hold over democracy.
      Conservatism seeks caution, liberalism has sought and continues to seek destruction. There is merit in balance but nothing about liberalism today espouses balance or anything close to it.
      "Multiculturalism has been working great in throughout the United States' history. Throughout the world really. Immigrants from different cultures and backgrounds built America."
      Right, the races get along so well together! And no, white people pretty much built America. What black people contributed was almost entirely as slaves (again, racial harmony, always been just... so great).

    • @All4Randomness1
      @All4Randomness1 7 лет назад +1

      Jarrett Edwards Wait...conservatives live in a bubble because they live in primarily-conservative rural America, but liberals don't live in a bubble because they live in primarily-liberal cities?

    • @phightinphils13

      FLAMES But Obama only put those countries on a watch list, he didn't outright ban immigration from them. He slowed immigration from Iraq for a year, but he never stopped it. It's not the same thing.
      Similar to the Navy Seal that died during that raid that Obama was working on before leaving office. With the intel he had, Obama felt the risk was too high and didn't go through with it, but Trump felt differently and sent US troops in, ultimately killing one. The mission was a success, but there were a number of casualties; with reports indicating some may have been innocent women and children, plus the navy seal.

    Here is the thing that annoys me about these political topics, and I say this as someone who absolutely adores their other content. You have four uninformed people discussing the issues, three of them know they are uninformed and let Colin lead the conversation. They do not know enough to call Colin on the bullshit, factually incorrect shit, and misleading shit he says. This is not, by far, Colin's worst political topic in terms of the bullshit, but it is still ridiculous. Colin always comes at it from a faux moderate stance that is not really moderate. He absolutely is self-righteous and arrogant that his viewpoint is morally superior as a moderate, which from what he says, he really is not. He misrepresents the left constantly with right wing talking point style shit, which is no surprise considering he has openly admitted to reading political hackery like Drudge. There is nothing wrong with that, of course, until you claim to be speaking from a place of moderation when you are reading right wing propaganda on a daily basis. For example, he drive-by categorizes Bernie's social policies as a nanny state with a straight face. Also, Trump and Bernie Sanders while sharing some views on trade, they do not at all agree on Unions but once again, Colin just spouting bullshit without being called out on it. He does the same thing in reverse when he misrepresents the right as being more reasonable or less bigoted than they are. He said that Bannon is a "little more to the right." Just ridiculous, Bannon is a leader of the alt-right and the disgusting propaganda site Breitbart. He gave a platform too, and reportedly, advocates a America being only a white Christian nation. He had a "black crime" section on Breitbart and authored an "immigrant crime" executive order that is legitimately one of the ways Nazis sought to castigate Jews before the Holocaust, like it is unequivocally disgusting. To call Bannon a "little bit to the right" and "populist" is hugely misrepresenting Bannon's stances and his outsized influence in the White House. Even though Colin said he disagrees with the Muslim ban, he admits he has more has issues with the way it was implemented than anything else. Seriously? To represent this is just incompetence is actually incorrect. Trump was told by DHS that they needed to formulate the EO in a way that excluded green cards, but they did it anyways because Bannon and Stephen Miller wanted it in. On top of that, we know that Trump specifically asked for a Muslim ban; according to Rudy Guliani, they convened a committee of lawyers to craft the EO in a way to try and make it legal. They did not even meet that standard. This was a 100% politically calculated and designed to limit Muslims entering this country BY PEOPLE WITHIN THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION'S OWN ADMISSION. To say it was "just incompetence" is a gross misrepresentation of the objective facts.
    I am tired of Colin just flat-out misrepresenting the truth from a right-wing perspective and then claiming himself as a self-righteous moderate. I don't blame the others for not being knowledgeable enough to call him on his bullshit and misrepresentations of the objective facts. I understand that they want to talk about topical political issues, but they are always super one-sided and skewed because Colin has a ridiculous right-wing perspective that he presents as a moderate perspective. I actually don't think you guys should do these topics unless you come to the table informed enough to actually discuss these topics from an informed and honest place. That includes Colin, I don't think he purposely misrepresents facts, I just think he presents his own very skewed stance as factually correct and in a self-righteous way. If you guys cannot counter balance him with facts and call his bullshit statements out, you guys essentially rubber stamp his misrepresentations to the people in your audience that do not know any better. No one is asking you all to be apolitical, but you should take the fact that many in your audience will blindly accept what you guys say very seriously. That's why Colin's misrepresentation of the EO as just incompetence and Bannon as a "little to the right" and "populist" is bad for the audience and bad for the Kinda Funny brand. One of the reasons we love the show is because they are usually honest, frank discussions among you guys. These topics do not meet that standard, it is just bad content. I do appreciate Greg's effort to be more informed, though he is not informed enough to call out Colin's bullshit.

      Bernie Sanders is a social democrat who wants to transform the U.S system into the Scandinavian type one, and as a swede I can tell you its a nanny state with a straight face.
      Do you think CNN and msnbc are better than breitbart and Drudge?
      Do you think the Russian government hacked the DNC?
      What do you think about Bernie being a sellout for the DNC and whored himself out for Killary?

    • @philiplublin8106
      @philiplublin8106 7 лет назад +4

      and as a Dane i can tell you it is not a nanny state.
      we as Scandinavian do not live in a nanny state.
      we have security of life and health.
      we all learned after ww2 that for one to do better we would all need to do better.
      i don't care about my 56% tax cause i have enough money to go on vacation and i know my money goes to helping a little girl fight cancer or pay for someone who has had a bad childhood go to collage and do better.
      a nanny state is not the same thing as we have. not technical at least. what your political views are and what you would like to change i don't know and ill listen to that and have a good discussion about that :) well more likely international politics cause thats a place were we both have some info.
      i would for +Aaron Shaum say i do agree with his view on the informed stuff and that every time they talk about politics he isn't corrected on facts , not views that's his own thing.
      but simple facts and that he call stuff socialistic but he means democrat socialistic or the fact that he took almost 50% of the eps. and at least let the other people talk about there opinions not to say facts but they view on stuff. that would have made this much more interesting and put the view of having a polite and civil talk with everybody more into view :D
      p.s have a nice day you damn swede!!!
      and please don't talk about the DNC, they fucked up and no one knows about the hack.
      don't state leading questions. that's just bad taste.
      America needs a boring old news "network" which just states facts and can be trusted.
      we have one in Denmark. they do not learn left or right. they just state facts and have interviews with people.
      now i'm done and my fingers hurt ...... :)

    • @CarlXVIGustafBernadotte420

      Philip Lublin I would be much more willing to pay high taxes if I was a Dane because your country still has common sense within its borders, Sweden is in political and social turmoil. Recently politicians closed down a the birthing ward of a hospital and told the towns women to birth their babies in the car, true story. And at the same time the government gives buys and rent aparments on the behalf of Mohammed and Ali who hasnt even fled from war. When a Swede pays tax today he pays to make sweden worse not better.
      I don't know how good the danish state television is but the swedish one is heavily biased to the left and everything pro mass immigration.
      In Denmark the politcal parties worked with the people who wanted less immigration, in Sweden they were branded and anyone willing to work with them was branded as nazis/racist.
      I think we should dismantle the welfare here in Sweden since its going to collapse soon anyways and at the same time remove taxes on hiring people and people income tax, that way the migrants that came here to leech of the system will leave and those who came here to make themselves a better life will stay.
      Have a nice day you damn pölselover

      +Philip Lublin I visited many areas in Norway on a cruise, and your prices are just disgusting. A nanny state isn't worth those costs, because you literally have people crossing the border just to have affordable petrol.

    • @philiplublin8106
      @philiplublin8106 7 лет назад +1

      dude Norway isn't Denmark but like Norway we also have oil :D and money from that is taxed so we all get a higher pay :D and it pays for road and such :D we all get the benefits of the oil and the company's still make a shit ton of money.
      that you call Norway and Denmark the same country is something you should look into , we haven't had control of Norway in like 200 years :D
      but again we have Unions and laws about working hours too. and paid vacation :D like Canada.
      again we are not a nanny stat in the factual sense. if you feel like that, then it is of cause yours to have :D

    I think whats important now is to be specific on criticism. Like Colin said people should criticize on what he does. And possibly praise if he does something right. What I'm afraid of is that people being so critical that it undermines his ability to be President. I already have little faith in him even with the entire country behind him.
    As a liberal myself I felt like my team lost and I don't agree with his policies. But even if you remove him from office, aren't you pissing off the other half of the country that voted for him? The system elected him as President. The people have spoken. I say give him some space to breathe and lets see what he can do. If he truly fucks up, yes criticize him then. The important thing is to be fair. You're not kids, lets not fanboy over Presidents. Be a smart country.

    Nick!!!!!
    Look into IIFYM as a diet (also called flexible dieting). If you're finding keto hard to adhere to IIFYM is the way to go. It's simple science based calorie counting with a focus on meeting your macronutrient and micronutrient goals, while maintaining a calorie deficit. Simple and flexible, and since there's no "bad foods" it's really easy to stick to long term. It breaks foods down into their component macros (protein/carbs/fat), micronutrients (vitamins) and calories, instead of breaking foods down into "good" and "bad" or "healthy" and "unhealthy".
    So eating a food is as simple as: do I have the calories available and how does it contribute to my macros? Most people do something like an 80%-20%, so 80% nutrient dense food (basically foods that will help you meet your micro and macro goals) and once you've met your macro goals you can use the remaining calories to eat whatever you want as long as you stay within your calories. So basically a treat. Your body can only absorb so much nutrients per day, the rest gets flushed, so there's no point in eating more nutrient dense food once you've met your daily goals. And since there's no off limit foods and no weird food rules you develop a much healthier relationship with food. You can fit in the foods you enjoy so you don't feel deprived.
    I think you said you have Myfitnesspal, check out their forums on the website. Lots of super informed people to give info.
    Good luck with your keto diet, but maybe look into IIFYM/Flexible Dieting. It's how I got a six pack for the first time at 34.

    Colin, I concur that there needs to be a better way to talk to people who don't agree with you politically. However, as a Democratic Socialist Black man, some of the "few differences" many conservatives have with me are VERY important, like White supremacy, taking away women's rights and those in the LGBTQIA community and more. When people literally want me dead or enslaved just because of my skin color, it's hard to be peaceful to their faces. My little sis got shot at by an emboldened racist a week after Trump won.
    I'm sure you obviously know your privilege as a cisgender White male in that you don't have to deal with those kinds of fears every day. For that reason and more, it's easier for you want to be more moderate because you have less lose in the fight for America's soul. For people like me, it's about survival.
    I'd love to be on the show and provide more educated points from the Left! Respect to the other guys, but it was my major! Peace

    • @Soldier561
      @Soldier561 7 лет назад +1

      What's your basis for saying that blacks and whites can't co-exist? Why can't they respect each others' needs? From all angles I've approached it from, it boils down to whites not wanting to make compromises for blacks to get the foundation of our culture onto the level it would be if we were allowed education from the start. Since we were robbed of basic rights for so long, our foundation is weaker and whites and the establishment doesn't want us to become stronger even though much of the establishment's strength came off the backs of slaves.
      We need things like affirmative action, because some people don't even want us to share the same country with them if we're not going to be slaves, let alone the same work place. People like that perpetuate racism, violence or not. I don't need you to be physically non-violent toward me if you're just going to turn around and refuse me a living wage anyway. What sense does that make?

    • @Soldier561
      @Soldier561 7 лет назад +1

      You've just disqualified for yourself from debate if you seriously believe impoverished immigration is comparable to black history and black experience in this country. Not saying what immigrants have done isn't hard, but If you believe that it's comparable at all to the black experience in this country, you have no idea what you're talking about.

    • @Soldier561
      @Soldier561 7 лет назад +2

      You basically said "We can get along with other immigrants, but not blacks, and you have no one but yourselves to blame at this point."
      If that's what you really believe, then this discussion is a lost cause, and it's why people hate your group, and hate Stephen Bannon. You won't win in the long run.
