HE PLAYED US LIKE A DAMN FIDDLE!
+Mega Man Donald Trump: A weapon to surpass Metal Gear.
+Mega Man He's probably with the la-li-lu-le-lo.
+bilbobal Trump is the man to take down the Patriots!
Kaz, I'm already a Trump.
+Mega Man greg's eyes at 10:25 hahaha
I personally don't think that Colin is taking Bernie Sanders seriously enough, but we shall see #FeelTheBern
+vincent Biello I feel like that's mostly because Bernie's stances oppose the entirety of the republican party and Colin sees that as "easy to run against" while Hilary or Biden are more difficult to run against since they're more right-leaning and can get the swing vote from republicans more easily. It's like how dems don't take most republicans seriously and can't understand why they get support. It's all about the base of the party. It's the "I don't want the government's hands in my pockets. Let's outsource" VS the "I want more representation and public infrastructure. Please take my money" (just so you don't get mad i'm in full support of Bernie Sanders and am a registered democrat)
+vincent Biello Socialists should never be taken seriously. They are morons
I hear that a lot, Kåre Hansen , could you elaborate on why this is your opinion?
+CunnininnuC Socialism has historically never worked, ever.
+Cubi Studios except in the 40's, 50's, and 60's.
Colin said Romney would be president so take what he says with a grain of salt.
+J hump He's on flocka for that.
+J hump Care to take a guess at the debt Obama has accumulated since elected? A hint... it's in the trillions.
+Clear706 don't spread your lies my way
Facts bro, just facts
+Clear706 with all the wars the republican president which came before him started some for absolutely no reason except to get oil in the hands of exxon so he can get a deal with them (which, by the way is one of the many companies that are receiving money from the tax payer due to "Negative Taxes") signing in that the next president HAS to stay in the war and a crash, I'm surprised it isn't more.

Colin says we've never elected anybody like him before, obviously Colin must have had a major stroke when he was studying 30s-70s presidents. FDR had some socialistic beliefs (like making sure people don't starve). We had republicans in office with 90% tax rates on the highest income bracket. We started wars to end poverty, we had very affordable education, lots of people were apart of unions. America already has some socialistic aspects. We publicly fund K-12 education, police departments, military, certain agencies, etc....
+CinemaPigeon FDR wasn't a socialist in the truest sense (public ownership of means of production). He was similar to Bernie though: a social democrat.
Basically both support strong Mixed Economies.
Point stands though.
Yes, because affordable education and a living wage are such crazy ideas...
+Latent Soul That's why you impose tariffs on companies that make their products outside of the U.S. to make it so they have to either make in the USA or GTFO.
+Fire Which virtually every other industrialized/developed nation does.
Latent Soul I agree that the lobbyist factor is huge, but I doubt these companies would just roll over and stop selling products in America from some tariffs, a country where these corporations come from and gain their wealth from. They would choose making their products in the U.S. and not having as high profit margins over losing a large amount of money from not existing in the U.S. in the first place. Bad business to not let a nation of over 315 million be able to buy your products. The reason why companies outsource in the first place is because it saves them money. If you create a system where they lose money by outsourcing, they won't outsource.
Plus outsourcing is already doing exactly what you think tariffs would do. It's hurting our economy by taking large amount of jobs out of America and benefiting nations like China, since they get jobs that never existed before.
+CinemaPigeon tariff? With our relations with China it's impossible
Great opening:
Colin: i want to talk about Donald Trump. I don't have anything to say about him.
video starts at 0:56
"I'll gladly check your prostate"
-Colin Moriarty
yes, don't raise taxes on the rich and, while you're at it, don't close any loopholes either. Allow companies like general electric, exxon and yahoo "pay" NEGATIVE TAXES, in turn, taking your money after making hand over fist of their own; what a perfect slam dunk of an idea. OH, and while you're at it, think about this: Trump said he would lower the minimum wage to compete with china.. to compete with children in sweat shops,.... how many people today hold down two jobs to feed their families on minimum wage because they don't have the skills to work a higher paying job, only to barely skimp through each week?
The government is supposed to help the people prosper and to do whats best for America. Progress isn't made by voting the same damn suit; like it or not, we actually might need a socialist.
+Altinore Socialism has historically never worked, ever.
+Cubi Studios For who? Maybe its time for the everyman to be able to have a surplus of money on payday.
+Altinore you have no idea what your talking that is exactly what trump is talking about doing. He is talking about raising taxes on the rich and closing loopholes he is talking about raising capital gains also. He has even talked about leaving a 75% tax on everyone with over 10 million in the bank in order to pay down the national debt. Also he never stated he would lower minimum wage he said he would keep it where it is at.
Jesse Ramirez and then he can take a look at greece spain and Italy all three of those socialist countries are failing
Jesse Ramirez You cannot have socialism in a country with high unemployment like we have it doesn't work. Also a major problem with it is when the economy is on a down swing things get really bad quickly with overspending that is the primary problem.
"trump dodges questions, he's so cool"
-republicans
The look Colin makes when Nick says (paraphrasing) "not all presidents abused their power for fortune, but the Bush's sure were good at it". I knew, I just knew he wanted to scream "HILLARY FUCKING CLINTON!"
You were wrong about some polls, but good discussion. BERNIE SANDERS 2016.
Listening to Colin talk about politics is like listening to Roger Ebert talk about movies. Colin needs his own show solely about politics.
It exists, it's called everything ever from fox news.
I don't like him he's trying to deport me lol
+ERay152 are you an illegal immigrant? you should be deported... every other country does it.
chris71388 no but he's deporting children of immigrants. He says I'm not a US citizen even though I was born here
ERay152
he is? prove it.
chris71388 realnewsrightnow.com/2015/07/12/donald-trump-calls-for-the-immediate-deportation-of-all-1st-and-2nd-generation-immigrants/
+ERay152 you understand that's a satire piece, right?
Life's too short to not elect Trump as president and see what happens.
Ya know, for shits n' giggles.
Nick Scarpino was scarily remarkable in this video. I wish Greg could speak more on serious issues but it might not be his forte to say the least.

#NickWasRight
The amount of people that completely support Trump or Sanders is absolutely dumbfounding to me. I don't understand how people can think that either of these men are good for our country.
Nick always goes to the bathroom because he doesn't eat a lot of carbs which holds water.
This is interesting to watch in may 2016.
It's very interesting to watch now.
ironmaiden2841 Lol I bet.
Oh my god I just saw him win, could you do an update on this
I've been waiting for this topic forever!
Who else just KNEW this was a colin topic just by the title? lol . Awesome discussion
I see the title and think "Colin has brought us another gem". can't wait to hear from the guys
Colin did like 90% of the talking in the GameOverGreggy show lol.
GIVE COLLIN HIS OWN POLITICAL SHOW ON KINDA FUNNY LET HIM DO WHATEVER THE FUCK HE WANTS
Bernie sanders is also not taking money from special interests
+Mark W. Charlie Yet, its still very early.
+Mark W. Charlie yes he is almost all of his money comes from unions and they are special interest groups
***** Unions don't do shit for people. All they do is take money from hard working people giving nothing in return.
***** lol don't make me laugh the amount extra you get paid and then some goes straight to the union bosses.
Hell, maybe produce a weekly show about politics. Doesn't have to be 2 hours long like Gamecast or GameOverGreggy.
Thank you Colin! Amazing shit
Oh. This is gonna be a fun one!
love seeing nick "i only listen to msnbc" scarpino being mad as fuck in this video
+Richard Carson lol I know! Hes so butt hurt.
Ugh, get a new sponsor, Loot Crate is a scam.
+Paul Scott (Dracula is Still a Threat) How is it a scam?
+Paul Scott (Dracula is Still a Threat) its not a scam, its a waste of money. i think Loot Crate is targeting kids with its products rather than teens and adults, but they're poorly marketing it.
As an AU student I feel like shooting myself every time I hear Collin say the word "Wonk".
YES, THIS IS THE COLIN TOPIC I WANTED
"We've never elected anyone even remotely like Bernie Sanders."
That may be, but we've never elected someone as abrasive as Trump before either. This could be an election with a lot of firsts.
Cheetos for President!
I thought Ben Carson was from Johns Hopkins
Ben Carson: Too smart to be president, believes in creationism.
It's really weird.
Blame the birth of Christian fundamentalism in the '50's.
You can't prove creationism just like you can't prove evolution. No experiment can make either happen. Believing one doesn't make you smarter than another.
+FPS Sora You can't PROVE gravity, but we know it's there. It's the same deal with evolution.
+Mr BUTTKNUCKLE Sr I hope you're joking
Philip Wybenga My point is this; so many people have this misconception that a "theory" is like a guess. It's not. We understand that gravity exists, but there is truly no way to prove it. We know evolution happened/happens, but there is no way to just "prove it". We have evidence, yes, but it's not PROOF.
Donald Trump is Biff Tannon from the alternate 1985.
+Brad Hardcastle Oh my god, this is so accurate.
Missing the end point... what a great comment and I am glad Greg said it.
In England we had a guy called Nigel Farage who is a lot like Trump in a lot of ways He's a business man And very charismatic he was also very anti immigrant. Their was a lot of media buzz about him and he was seen as an outsider in our last election in the end his party managed to win 1 seat out of 650 in the uk parliment In the end. My money is on him just fizziling out come polling day
The single most appealing thing about Donald Trump is that he's funding his own campaign. He's not taking big money from anyone. This addresses what Americans hate most about American politics, which is all the money being used to buy out candidates. Despite all of his flaws, of which there are many, he is his own person. If America votes for him, we'll know exactly what we're getting.
I would have liked Colin to elaborate more on why he thinks Donald Trump is so smart. Relating Trump's intelligence to his wealth is simply not a strong argument. Sure, it takes an unusual amount of diligence and competence to be able to create and maintain a fortune like Trump's, but wealth is by no stretch of the imagination a direct representation of intelligence. Some of the greatest minds the world has ever seen were held by people with very modest economic standing. Examples that I think most people would be familiar with are Socrates and Gandhi. Frankly, if you listen carefully to Donald Trump speak you notice his frequently inadequate grammar and chronic use of political doublespeak (two immediate red flags when making judgements about politicians or leaders), especially when you compare him to a candidate on the opposite side of the political spectrum like Bernie Sanders, who is very well spoken and does his best to avoid doublespeak or unclear language. Being that Colin is so well-spoken, I'm surprised that he isn't thrown off by Trump's shortcomings.
I must have missed something, I've been watching this episode for a solid... 20 minutes and just said... wait... are they all wearing boxers?
and here we go
Well said, Colin
oh yeah this is gonna be fun :D
Colin must be on flocka wanting Romney to get in the race.
Believe me, Colin, you DON'T want to know what I think about Trump.
I think Colin said Ben Carson is from Carnegie Mellon but if I'm not mistaken he's actually a retired neurosurgeon from John Hopkins.
Actually your both wrong he went to university of Michigan got his medical school at Yale and worked at john Hopkins
Well, yeah. That's exactly what I meant.
+50SecondGames oh i thought to meant he went to school at john Hopkins :p
It's hilarious how well Donald Trump is doing. It really speaks volumes about how untrustworthy our normal politicians are if we're more willing to trust Donald J Trump.
I don't really know much about politics but i watch these videos cause I find Colin extremely interesting to listen to on any subject.
Shout out to Tim for wearing the Daisy Dukes!
He's turned American Politics into a reality TV show. He's a character on Big brother, or the Apprentice, or Survivor and everyone wants to see if he wins, and just like a reality TV show, the power is in your hands America! Can you Believe Trump said that? and how will it affect his campaign? Don't forget to cast your votes and tune in next week for America's Next President!
Loved this topic. Wanted to hear Colin's opinion on Trump.
I can't wait til friday to watch the whole episode. I'm breaking my rule just to see this topic
Wow. "He's the smartest guy in the room". You have to be kidding me.
Great video. Being a Brit, I always find it fascinating to get a perspective of the Republicanism that you don't really see on television.
Softspoken may be the kindest word ever used to describe Ben Carson.
You guys need to re-do this topic now.
Colin, Trump does not like Cuban. They have a professional rivalry hahaha.
Colin just pisses me off. It's to bad cause I used to really like this show but I think I'm going to take a break for a wail :(
I only noticed half way through that only Nick is wearing pants
Not sure where Colin got the figure that Joe Biden is also beating Hillary in Iowa? Most polls have Sanders/Clinton in a dead heat with around 40% and Biden is around 12%.
Colin could "make America great again"
Good to see a fellow Republican on one of the RUclips shows I watch.
Trump is no business genius, but he knows how to use the law like eminent domain laws. People assume its hard work and money is proof. Just look up some of what he has done before assuming everyone rich has earnt it. Some have some haven't.
The only reason I can think of that would stop me for voting for Trump would be his stance on taking away birthright citizenship.
Nick was great here.
Two weeks out from the election, I find myself judging people based on how long it took them to jump off the sinking Trump ship. The fact that Colin was calling this man a "genius" three months into his campaign upsets me.
Donald Trump is such an anomaly that I do not know what to expect. It's great that Trump is exposing Republican and Democrat hypocrisy, but I do not want him to be president. The sad part is that none of the other candidates has a backbone strong enough to combat Trump's arrogance. Perhaps Bernie Sanders can, but it will be very close. Bernie Sanders's socialist policies do not appeal to me.
I wouldn't buy a used car from Romney.
THERE I DOWNLOADED SEVERED
"he invented the brain"... lost my shit. so funny...
Wonder how Colin feels about Trump now?
Finally!!! But fuck I gotta go to school in 20 minutes😔
Colin should make his own channel. I would watch every video he would put out.
+Sanchezkid49 I'd love to see more Political stuff from Colin.
I personally like Trump.
I don't agree with how radical his views are on certain issues. But he stirs the pot.
He scares republicans, he scares democrats, he speaks his mind, and he's a businessman.
I am really intrigued by him. Am I 100% sold on him? Not yet. But I am excited to see where he goes from here.
Collin really disappointed me today
as someone who also studied political science, i'm extremely disappointed in colin's current, very limited understand of the sanders' campaign, especially when he goes so far as to spread misinformation. colin can be libertarian all he wants, but sanders is not a proper socialist, nor does he want to push taxes to 90% on the wealthiest americans. either way, i'm utterly surprised he doesn't seem to really respect how bernie is trying to do exactly what colin talks about in terms of political coverage: stop the dramatization, the fluff, the character attacks, get people to pay attention to and discuss the real issues in an open and honest way.
similar to trump, he's going around to all different states, not just iowa and new hampshire. he addressed a crowd of christians by prefacing that he's not a christian, that he doesn't agree with what they may believe in terms of abortion and gay marriage, but that he wants to find common ground and discuss the issues. he wants candid and real discussion. these debates are going to be fantastic.
the man has drafted bills with real numbers to support his ideas (links to the actual documents provided below). I have never seen a candidate like this, it is a political science majors' dream, I can't believe Colin isn't jumping up and down over this.

Colin, I wish you would do your own political talk show. With Greg maybe, if he's interested, but the way you talk about these things actually makes me interested. I don't know what it is, but you have my attention.
Great episode, and fantastic analysis of what is going on. I was really impressed to see an intelligent conversation and not just some rehashed media dribble...well, except for the misstep between 32:36 and 32:55. I'd probably be still shaking my head if Colin didn't step in.
Put some forkin' pants on.
Colin got the Bradley effect spot on. I agree 100%.
The most expensive city in the world is Tokyo. New York is like #19 lol
is unfortunate how many people of my age group are about bernie sanders
Bizzare enough, Trump and Bernie are similar for the same reasons. They are both saying the things no one else in their party is frank enough to say.
TRUMP 2016
Trump never talks about things. He just side steps everything! It's ridiculous!
Q) "How are you going bring jobs back to the U.S.A.?"
T) Trump - " I'm just going to do it."
It is all about Biden. He is the only person, I am praying he enters. Watch his interview on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert on CBS.
@28:40
DONALD TRUMP SPELLS LIBERTY
nick is funny as hell.
I wish Colin would do another video about Trump
Tim you in your undies lol
Trump is truly embarrassing for all Americans, not just Republicans.
I think Colin finds Donald Trump interesting.
Colin should be Trumps campaign Manager
Nate Silver is my cousin... and having talked with him and knowing he only provides data that he finds to be reliable based on his own predictive system I found this to be a massive comfort"Trump has a 5% chance of winning"
We already built the wall...got a bunch of cool stuff back here...can't let you in guy
